Haha well I have never lived in England, just a few small trips to watch football and concerts every now and then so have no real idea. Manchester really just seemed like such a big shit hole and I didn't feel the same kind of danger of being randomly attacked by chavs at all in London as in Manchester, most likely just me being in a more shitty place in Manchester. Had a pretty great moment in Manchester though when I asked some big black bouncer if he knew where a certain street was, he had no idea and yelled at someone inside to get to the door at what I thought was a night club, out comes a transvestite in huge heels that happily explained me where it was. Such a weird moment because he kept in character as a woman while explaining it to me, then demanded a kiss for explaining. That was like my first experience in Manchester after getting out of a train from the airport.

It's a time waster. No City fan act like we aren't on of the luckiest fan bases in the world. And no other fan should act like they would reject this money.

The sheiks have done a fucking good job so far. From staff, players, infrastructure to fan communication.

There's this big fucking hate because people, for some reason, seem to think City fans believe Aguero & CO joined because of our rich history.
You will find many City fans who believe that. It's cute.

Why do you keep bringing up that shit, revenue and wage percentage?! We're a developing club, those things will change for the better when we gain popularity. They dont change over night. Look at that article, as I've said several times. The owners have more in store than just buying players. This is the early phases of a long planned strategy. If you're not gonna read about it there's no point in arguing. I'm off to bed anyway.

That shit is important to a club's long term fiscal sustainability. A developing club is Spurs, or Sunderland, or even Swansea. One which makes profits and invests them back into the club for new signings, stadium improvements etc...

The "long term" plans from the sheikh are not funded from Man City's football profits, they are non-existent. Man City is a rich man's plaything and when he gets bored (which he will, this is not a real business venture for a literal trillionaire, just a play thing) the fans are the ones that will pay for it just like at Pompey and now Rangers. This idea that the investment from the owner (from his own pocket) helps the club is complete bull shit, Man City will never make back his investment and it is extremely unlikely to ever make any profit. You can delude yourself that your club is more than a rich man's play toy, but the reality is that it isn't anything more than that. Without him Man City are nothing, I just hope for the fans' sakes that he sticks around for more than five years before boredom sets in and that another investor can be found willing take on a loss making business venture that will require a massive change of tactics and reform to make a profit. Watch all of those "fans" fuck off once the owner investment is gone, so those commercial revenues will collapse, big name players will leave after being asked to take a pay cut suppressing commercial revenues further and there we have the next Leeds.

All of that goes for Chelsea as well, though their losses have narrowed over recent years but with another summer of huge investment required this might be the last time Abramovich bothers if it doesn't work.

Mines is 18! No prizes for guessing why.

London is brilliant. Can understand why some people don't like it but it'd comfortably be the most popular choice for a place to live for most people. One of the problems this country has actually, it only really has one major city, at least on a global scale. Other cities in their UK have their plus points but London is easily a cut above. There are some issues with lifestyle but the positives definitely out-weigh the negatives for me. Especially when you can afford it.

City are bringing Tevez back into the fold. Hilarious. He's a great player so i'm sure he'll help them, but it's just so funny to see them bring him back after giving it the "he's done for" line. Oh City...MASSIVE club.
I like the old saying: You ask a Brummie what's England's second city, he says "Birmingham." You ask a Manc the same question, he says "Manchester". Ask a Scouser and he says "London".

Things are cheaper and people tend to be a little more friendly up North. Apart from that, literally everything is worse. Not bad, just of a lower quality.

The football clubs, countryside, people would kind of like to disagree with you.

Anyway, Vita get. It's so pretty I almost don't want to turn it on D:

Don't particularly ever want to live in London, would be happy to move to Manchester someday. Berlin is better than anywhere in the UK.

Oh and Chelsea are terrible, glad footballing justice was done. Time for some more sweet dreams about Cavani.

AVB should go, he's as annoying as Mourinho but with none of the entertainment value.

Haha.

Most people tend to thing wherever they were born and raised is the best place in the world. I've found that anyway. They don't think they'd be happy in another city, especially one dramatically different to one like their own. Just a natural reaction.

London is the nations top City though, don't think you can dispute that. Not everybody's cup of tea for sure, but it has everything to keep almost everybody happy.

I had no problem living in London, when studying there... Well apart from having no money. Night buses too - They're the worst.

Bristol is still the best though. You've seen Skins - It's a lovely place;)

Rafael has got hops indeed. But he's... Rafael.

I'll get Pirlo and Lahm next season. Bayern's home is sweet but it's the exact same design as Liverpool's charcoal grey away (in different colors), which I already have.

Nothing compared to our CL kit this year: pure sex.

Rio Ferdinand @rioferdy5
"Cavani is the type of player I'd pay to go and see....game comes easy to him, natural. He will cost someone a lot of money soon."

Paul Merson:"Chelsea were the better team, Napoli didn't deserve any of their goals. CFC should win by 2 or 3 goals at Stamford Bridge."

Neville:"When you watch this Napoli team, it's just hard to believe that they would beat Manchester City or a strong Chelsea team. They have a few decent players, but the rest, nothing better than what you see in the Premier League week in, week out".

Really disappointed in Gary. Rio, top 5 material as usual.

good old paul merson

talking shit to anyone who will listen

Merson's brilliant. Love listening to him on Soccer Saturday.

I can see why people thought Chelsea were the better side though. They controlled alot of the game. But, that is what Napoli do, they are just so good at counter attacking. Alot of Serie A teams match them up and sit back themselves against them now.

I suspect Chelsea will dominate much of the game at the Bridge but their frail defence and Napoli's blistering attack will carve them up and score a couple of goals to end the tie.

We were the better team
for about 10 minutes in the second half.

Their defense wasn't great to be honest. Our attacking play was just horrendous.

Campagnaro and Lavezzi should join Bayern :) win-win for everybody involved!

Edit: btw, I got a NY Cosmos Green kit with #10 Pele for around 20 bucks, nice deal.

I never thought I'd hear someone say that. :D Not that he's a bad defender, but ... It's always hard to judge individual players in a team like Napoli, where so much depends on a specific style of football and everybody applying themselves to it and where you have these almost symbiotic relationships between players like Cavani and Lavezzi. Campagnaro works ok for Napoli, elsewhere ... who knows. It'll be interesting to see how he performs in the national team. He's been called for the first time ever, I think? At 31. Good for him.

I got this new avatar until 22/3/2012 for believing that chelsea could do the fucking decent thing and atleast get a draw against Napoli. Serves me right. I know you will all be upset :P, Freewheelin' has bad taste, what can I do about it.

So we shall have an olivia less month.

Back to football banter.

Edit: Oh and Pedro wears 17.

Edit 2:

I really like Bayern's away kit, but imo, the best one is ours away kit:

Which is the one I'm wearing right now. Can't sleep :_(

That is a nice kit, its just a shame barca has a better black kit this season :p

LOL No. You know you can't beat black and gold.

You should have lost other bet :/

Looking forward to the weekend, I'd like to congratulate AC Milan on the inevitable victory. We already beat them two times this year and it's impossibile to imagine the Magnifici lose a third time in the same season to anyone, least of all Juventus, which I hear is just Pirlo + 10 players running after the ball.

Unless ...

So, who is that?

Eva Green, and when I get done with this bet. I am getting that avatar off of you. Replace it with some class.

Eva Green. Much hotter than Olivia.

I should slap the shit outta you, but I actually like you so I wont.

LOL No. You know you can't beat black and gold.

Evilore is too classy to not pick Olivia Wilde. You deserved what you got.

Edit: Damn you guys, Fady is going to be so upset over this.

I'm going to google that bitch without safety filter. I hope I get something.

Edit. Woah, is the chick from Casino Royale. Messi, stick to that avatar for life.

Are you sure?

Fucking Demichelis, he was good one-two seasons.

I didn't knew Campagnaro was that old, and yes he has been called for the Argentina NT that tells you how bad they're in defense :p

Messi, what do you think?

Relatively new.

It's nice to have a change though. :)

Ghoulish :P Yeah I toned down the gif's right around the time Spanish Wrath picked up his lovely avatar. We nearly got though this whole thread without any girl gifs let alone any olivia ones (I have wanted to trust me) but fady went and posted ellen page on page one. ffs :)

Sure its not that bad, it could have been a real avatar.

Messi, what do you think?
