I know he did. I would argue Richards has been dropped as well though. Mancini gave an interview not that long ago saying Johnson and Walker were better choices for England, and that Richards needed to improve. I took that as him not being entirely happy with Richards' performances. Complacency? Arrogance? Who knows... it doesn't take much to piss off Mancini.

Absolutely not, he has given Richards tons of compliments. He was much more harsh before. In the latest interview he basically said Richards has improved a lot, but needs to work more if he wants to be world class. Which is true.
He's the first choice, picked up a knock this week. Zabaleta is a fantastic squad player though and deserves to play.
We deserved to lose 4-0 but not sure West Brom's performance warranted a 4-0 win if that makes sense. Pub team would have beat us today, far too many players with their eyes on next week... no tackles, no energy, no commitment. Appalling.

I don't get the local rivalry anyway. It'd be a good thing if Sunderland won as many games as possible and got into Europe.
What have we done with the Carroll money? Glorious things. Cabaye, Santon, Cisse, Ba (free transfer but there's obviously still money involved), Marveaux (fair enough he's injury-prone but he did well in the games he played), etc.
I wouldn't have wanted that money to go anywhere else. We spent it brilliantly. We wouldn't be in the top 6 if we had the same team, that's for sure.
That being said, we still need a lot of work, especially in defence and midfield.

Yeah lived there for years. I understand local rivalry but not to the point where a team such as Sunderland who (as far as I know) haven't had much success in terms of European qualification would be wished the worst by their rivals. I mean, Newcastle aren't in much of a better position than them and personally, I'd rather wish North East teams all the best no matter who I support.

I give quite alot of shits about other teams, even without being out biggest rivals (by the way have you ever lived in Newcastle? Would explain why you don't understand it) they are a team that could move ahead of us in the coming weeks. So yeah I care when teams around us are playing, It directly effects us.
As for Sunderland getting into Europe, I'm not even going to GO there.
Edit: So you have lived here, fair enough I guess. Personally I want Sunderland to scrape survival every season. That's what I would want to see.
