Look I'm sorry but anyone who uses the ignore feature shows an extremely low level of maturity (yeah, great job telling everyone you're using the feature guys, that sure makes you look good!) and has no reason to even be here if they block people because they can't handle the opinion of one person. The ignore feature is a detriment to the entire point on being on a forum, and I'll leave it at that. It's a shame people use this

I stopped readin Detective Conan because it's A)Waaay too long and B)I feel like the "twists" became much more predictable. If it was like that then, I can't imagine how shitty it must be now. There's no way a mystery manga can stay in its prime for 700+ chapters.

I agree.

You will always be on my friends list Big One. Along with DTL

Reading Detective Conan is like watching Law and Order. You know what type of shit you are getting yourself into, but you do it cause you like it and it's consistent.

I think being bothered that you're on someone's ignore list or that there are people ignoring other people is sillier.

I mean I don't even read most the anime thread and I have hundreds of posts there. There is very little difference between putting someone on ignore and just scrolling past their posts whenever their name comes up.

Never read Conan but i used to watch it.
I told my self i would start back but just way to many ep right now .

EDIT i also never block anyone on a forum not matter how much i dislike them\ opinion .

I don't understand how each week people persevere in reading it knowing they will only rage as they flip through the pages.
Because I'm already 170 chapters into it; to give up would render all that time up until now meaningless. I need to see it through no matter the cost.
Anyway, these current chapters aren't even really rageworthy, they're just devoid of any content that even resembles moving any sort of plot forward.

Earlier I went into the anime thread just to see your reaction to Nisemono, man we get along really well when it's not about a certain few things!

Apparently a forums are facebook now.

Anyway my personal grief with Conan isn't necessarily that it's utterly terrible by any means, it's just really too much for the content you get with it. My first experience, like most people, was through Case Closed and back then I liked it. Now I have never completed the manga, cause after marathoning of borrowed volumes from friends in highschool, I got super bored and tired of reading it and I doubt that'll change. From what I understand, it doesn't change and more or less stays the same. It's no surprise either cause both it and Inuyasha are Weekly Shonen Sunday's most popular series, and both are equally way too fucking long and boring (and Detective Conan is still running!).

Same shit with series like Pokemon too, I just hate this terrible format and wish it'd die. It's clearly in existence just to make a crapload of money rather than any artistic integrity involved.

And yes, there's a sever difference in something like this and One Piece or Jojo

I don't think we really lock horns over anything, do we?

I dont think I would ever block or ignore or whatever someone for saying Naruto is not good or terrible
now if it was fairy tail or shipping, well thats another story

Its enjoyable/entertaining reading everyones posts on whatever. Plus its a hassle to copy someones name, open the panel, scroll to it, click ignore, etc etc, and with like at least hundreds of people on the thread, youd see the comment anyway.

Why do all that, when you can just go to a user's profile from their post and click on ignore user?!

Fairy tail is terrible indeed.

I have, in my entire life, never seen anything so cheesy, even though, and I am not proud of it, I read kimi no iru machi.

And the characters should actually be decent fighters. I don't remember a fight they won with their strenght and not some friendship bullshit from I don't know where.

Fairy Tail is the shitiest shit to have ever been shit oh and just to be safe Bleach is utter garbage as well.

:)

high five

It's ok bro, we all read that horrible mess at one point in our life don't be ashamed of it

Fairy Tail is terrible.

Oh, Fairy Tail is shit?
Next read: Fairy Tail.

LOL come on, how do I look ignoring the 6th and 8th most postingest people in the thread, plus I know that you all secretly enjoy fairy tail, why else keep reading it?

That seems like a lot of clicks and page opening especially since it even asks for a confirmation of it. Scrolling past just seems like less work.

I've only read like the first volume of Fairy Tail bro I can't really tell if it's shit or not. Can someone show me the basic structure of Fairy Tail's arcs so I can have a point of reference?

In one arc some dude uses the magic reserves of tomorrow to beat the villain.

A bad guy appears, they seem to be losing. A mysterious guy from the guild appears. He does well than lose. The characters are angry because they friends got hurt.

CLICKITYCLACK POWER OF FRIENDSHIP the bad guy lose. Brand new arc

I actually stopped reading Fairy Around the ultimate secret magic thing arc..it was way too dull i was intending to start it back at some point but I honestly don't think I'll bother.

I couldn't read Fairy because all I thought was "this is One Piece but generic".

I don't think either of us really did it with anyone else in the thread either (maybe a tiny little bit *cough* but you stopped yourself pretty quick)
Wait when was this? I'm curious.

That may be so but i agree with him its the silliest thing ever.
I come to this thread to talk/read about manga. Not to watch somebody just bash shit and cause drama. If people would rather bicker like a bunch of middle school girls then I've rather just not even participate. I've picked up a lot of new interesting manga by reading people's recommendation. My current favorite was one I got from the thread. And people write interesting reviews. The ignored poster has never made ONE POST in this entire thread that actually was constructive towards other people enjoying a similar reading experience or an enjoyable discussion.

Telling people to constantly "shut the fuck up", argue the definition of moe for pages, get all pissy cause someone called something cliche', bash series totally at random, and a bunch of other worthless dialog is not conducive to a thread about manga. And yet, trying to not deal with this childishness and ignoring it is "immature?" People also agree with that?

Give me a break. Anime thread at least reads like a group of passionate fans who are friends.

Wait when was this? I'm curious.
I'm just talking about when you talked about OP's praise here a while back, I didn't get into it then (I was sleeping) and you stopped after like half a page or something while everyone went full force

(wait that was you right? your name change fucked up my memory)

Huh? Since when have I ever bashed anyone in this thread? At most any "insults" I make are just jokes, chill out. It's all in good fun and not intended to be actually offensive when I tell survivor to shut the fuck up.

I don't see the drama point either, the only drama caused is when I say, to put it in simple terms, "Bleach sucks." and Beam comes in and makes an essay sized post about how much of a piece of shit I am and blinded by One Piece fandom, or Angry Grimace will pop out of nowhere and post his usual shit posts. Yeah, that drama is caused by me alright...

Every discussion I've ever made here is progressive, just because you don't want to discuss such things doesn't mean they aren't constructive. I've never had any "no, I disagree" back and forth discussions in this entire forum and always try my best to explain any opinion I share. I never tell people their opinion is wrong, and the only reason anyone ever would think I'm actually telling them their opinion is wrong is if I describe to them why I think their opinion is faulty due to factually wrong points being used to support it.

I'd also like to point out that when I say something as archaic was "Naruto sucks." I'm not stating this as a fact. This is a goddamn forum, putting, "In my opinion" before every sentence is redundant.

I don't think I've ever bashed a manga at random, and there's nothing wrong with arguing about moe when the moe-style defines approximately around 95% of all anime/manga. Also I'm pissy about the cliche argument cause I genuinely think people need to stop using it like they do in their vocabulary and think it's just one of those words that have been twisted against it's entire meaning in the first place.

Feel free to use ignore feature, I'm not stopping you nor do I care, but it really is pointless and shows that you aren't on a forum to actually have discussion. It's a show of forum ethic and character...and because of that, it isn't making a good case for you for anyone.

Inb4 people complain this post is too long like it ruins this amazing discussion right now about how much Fairy Tail sucks.

Ah yeah, I backed out because it was going nowhere and I wanted to sleep.

Even if Fairy Tail may seem generic, it is still best at doing everything it does. As the second long running manga I started, Id never seen anything like it before, it was unique and compelling. People not reading ought to give it a chance, pulling magic from tomorrow is still the most epic thing Ive read and the series has things as mindblowing and as deep as it throughout. Baffled that people stopped reading it.

And Mashima is great AT BOTH character models and design, battle choreography and visual effects, and architectural elemental design and environmental landscaping.

Gan-Kon

This is great. It's like Double Arts, but with more varied fights and a funnier romance. Hope it doesn't get cancelled.
You're late. I think only Scy and I have been reading this. Biggest drama is the "true form" though... Could be devastating. Fights have not been that great though. :(

Wow, I think I'm gonna give Fairy Tail a chance now. That was such a passionate speech.

Also gunbo13 were not the same person that went on for weeks\months about how much you dislike the big 3.

Gunbo said in the past how it is laughable that this thread only spikes up when the big 3 are released and that people argue about the same shit when it comes to the big 3 (which is all quite true), I don't remember him going on for months about how he dislikes the big 3.
