So is the TSN stream not available in the US?

"Brian Burke does not expect to make a deal to address goaltending saying they have full confidence in James Reimer"

make up your minds wtf

I feel like a piece of shit knowing I'm going to be watching this for another 3 and a half hours.

Sorry, but in what world is Nash a lateral move from Lupul? :lol

Lupul is having an awesome year, but give me a break. If you're looking at who is more likely to help you for the next 4-5 years, it's not even close. Even considering the contracts, it's not even close.

seriously. i wouldn't even blink in making the trade. lupul is a complement player that's dominating. nash is a STAR that makes others better.

we'll screw kessel a bit but it makes the team by far better.

LOL Pierre McGuire on his own camera feed, no one around him this time around. What a weirdo.

Excited to check back in a few hours and Darcy hasn't made any moves for BUF.

Really, Holland gives out 1st round picks like they are candy to anyone who wants them.

yup no idea why the hawks have such a hard on for it, especially this year, unless they absolutely tank from here on in they're gonna fall into that 2nd and 3rd tier of prospect in the 1st round due to this draft being light on bonafide studs.

Totally agree.

Howson is probably asking for a bunch of supplementary pieces, though, and that's where things become iffy.

TSN is kind of brilliant. They knew nothing would happen so they divide everyone into three panels with pre-prepared talking points, discuss trades from previous days, place a worthless twitter feed on the bottom, and a huge trade bait bar on the right side. Bravo. Looks like we won't get to see the monkeys dance today.

Exactly. If Chicago can bring in someone like Grabovski with that 1st, there's no reason not to. Their farm is stacked as it is and losing one 1st rounder isn't going to kill them long term, especially if they can bring in a legit 2C. Anything to get that fucking mosquito Marcus Kruger out of that spot.

Think again!

Because it addresses none of their serious needs and takes away a great player. Nash isn't a center, isn't a goaltender and isn't a defensemen. The production Nash will give you for the rest of the year would be pretty much the same, probably less than what Lupul would give you for the rest of the year. It then stops Burke from being able to go out and get that center he wants, because he's given up all his most valuable assets for Rick Nash.

Strange,; see someone who trashes the leafs actually covet a player of ours...

Neither is Lupul, and Nash is pretty much better than Lupul in every way. If Columbus gets a great return besides Lupul, I can see the argument. But to say 'Lupul is included? Lateral move!" makes zero sense.

Is Gaustad really worth a 1st? I don't think so.

I hope someone, somewhere believes he is..

It might be the fleecing of Darcy's career if he can convince someone of it.

Because it will be a package. If it's a 1:1 trade, it's not, but it's not gonna be. Leafs are gonna lose Lupul, and a Defenseman, and a prospect and a pick. They need to lose more defensemen? Lupul Package > Just Nash. Lupuls production for the rest of the year will be equal or more than whatever Nash would do on the leafs.
