Short as it is, it's actually classified as a movie rather than an OVA - it was made for (and played in) theatres (or theatre - might have been one of those things which only played in one place, I forget).

But nah, there was quite some saltiness here recently despite the seemingly "fun" atmosphere here right now, but I wouldn't say that amount is regular here either.

I guess it comes with the territory, but this series is REALLY starting to feel like a poor man's champloo. Rin=fuu. Manji=Mugen. No Jin, but for an ep there. I wouldn't say that it's great, but hobochamploo has been kind of good.
My worry is the pacing. This had to be planned as a 2 cour given the methodical movement to it all, but there's only 13eps...Bee Train bomba.

Read the manga, don't even bother with Beetrain's adaptation. It's a partial adaptation of the first 5 volumes of the manga (which is on its final run with nearly 30 vols.). The anime is really lacking both in the artistry (you know, the manga is quite famous for its drawings and depiction of action scenes) and in the storytelling. It introduces many players which will become important characters later on, even before than the manga..... but the anime is only 1-cour. So it actually doesn't reach the point where they become useful, and also the point where the various plot threads come together, moving away from the episodic nature of the first volumes of the manga. Also, Anotsu is one of the greatest villain ever, but you get to see that much later on.
It's..... a wonderful manga and a very, very poor anime.

Miki is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. The way she invited herself into the kids baseball game was hilarious. This other hot-blooded dude isn't so bad either.

What kills it is when certain members in the Mangaf thread devolve into personally insulting each other, it makes animegaf feel moe moe kyun despite the anime reccomendations that destroy people's souls.

I guess one could say that Eleventh already knows that Yukki is coming and decided not to do anything since Ninth was a more of an immediate threat than Yukki and Yuno. Also I wonder if the show will touch upon what happened to the other prototype diaries since Eleventh still has his watcher, or if the other prototypes became the basis for the rest of the diaries in the game and were never really given to a certain person. ^^;;
It is average, however you get moments like the philosophy behind digging and filling holes and piloting a mecha naked to increase the sensory sensitivity to enable to avoid attacks more efficiently.

No. I looked it up and don't really think I'd watch it.
To clarify I don't really seek out lesbian porn, so I don't really seek out Yuri fanservice shows either. I don't have a fascination or fetish for it.
Well, see, that's what I was going for with Aoi Hana, because it is neither lesbian porn nor yuri fanservice. It's just a show about lesbians who are school girls.
It's not that I disagree with you - I'm more likely to watch shows with BL themes as the fanservice is usually more emotional than physical and it somehow feels less demeaning to me as a bloke to have topless dudes in ridiculous poses, even though most BL shows have terrible characterisation and boring storylines - but there is a little more nuance to what "yuri" is as a genre/theme/whatever you want to call it than the ridiculous pandering that most people seize on.
