Did you have a moment of ecstasy?

Just about the same you must have felt at this moment:

I find that slips always lose their shape/elasticity because you have to get them past your heel. A velcro wrap is a good compromise between convenience and stability.
velcro it is then.
If you can set right then wrap it, all day. If not then buy 4 or 5 slips for the season. Also get him working on that left hand!
i've been working him hard the passed year and a half.
he can equally go to his left and right.
he can also make consistent college 3s now.:D
but his weakness right now is finishing strong to the basket.

Just be careful not to have too much restriction at the ankle. He should have some lateral range. To much rigidity could put extra stress on his knees.
thanks. i sprained my ankle a couple months ago in basketball.
i'd hate for him to have injuries.

true, but i mean he didn't give up money in a serious sense. Getting paid $20 mil is still a huge cap hit. It's not like he signed for $13 mil.

Last I heard was Scola and Lowry for Pau.

All of this trading Pau makes me nervous because of Bynum's knees. I know Lowry's an upgrade, but I'd rather see us get a better guard for him.

Why would the Rockets do that trade again?

Apparently, they really, really, want Gasol? Rockets-Age can better answer this one.

To be honest, I don't buy anything that sends him out of town for less than an All-Star. We'll see, but we basically need a point guard, some semblance of an SF, and 2 guys off the bench.

Scola and Lowry? I like Lowry, but I'm not really a fan of Scola. That is a good trade for the Lakers though.

Lowry is better than all of the other guards rumored in a trade, except Deron. I know Scola has declined a bit, but he's still a useful player. If this trade goes down it would fix the PG situation while increasing depths, so I like it. Of course the Lakers would lose all size advantage.

Why would the Rockets do that trade again?

Because Morey is a wizard. Also because they are ruining his tank.

not all star but scola's a hustle guy and can make the midrange jumper consistently.
and lowry is a baller.
just ask smokey.
he's all over lowry's nuts.
i'd do that trade.

and what's this i hear dwight wont resign with the lakers if traded to them? #johnireland.

More Shaq quotes:

Were the movies and music ever a distraction?
They thought it was, but, no. It was just taking advantage of opportunities, meeting people and having a good time. People that don’t understand basketball were saying, “You need to work out.” But you can’t maximize your potential after the third hour of workout. Studies show that you can’t do that. After three hours, if you’re still working out, you’re doing yourself a disservice. I worked my ass off to get to where I’m at. But after that, Shaq is gonna go home and take a nap. When I wake up, it’s going to be 5 o’clock, and then that’s opportunity time.

I think Game 7 of the 2000 Western Conference Finals against Portland was the defining moment of your career. What was going through your mind, down 15 in the fourth quarter?
The doubts are creeping up in my mind because that was my best year—I won the MVP. And I would have made history and been the first unanimous MVP ever, but some dickhead from Atlanta voted for Iverson and fucked up history. He did. But the Portland game, if the general panics then the troops will panic. Phil was like, “I’ll see you next summer.” That’s all he said. We were like, “No, we’re not going out like this.” Steve Smith was out there celebrating way too early. But you’re right: That game could have broke me if we didn’t win.

I don't think finding a taker for Marion next year would be that hard. There are almost zero quality free agent SF next summer, and there will be a lot of teams with cap room.

At his age? He's turning 34 before this season ends. He's tradeable, but I don't a team won't send another contract back, even if lesser.

he also has a 15% trade kicker. Puts him at about $22 million over 2 years.

Butler got $24 million with no knees. It's not that unlikely. Worst-case scenario, Roddy gets thrown in.

Doesn't your nephew's school have an athletic trainer and/or student trainers on campus? A good tape job from the trainer should suffice; used to do it everyday even during football practice. You could reinforce with a light ankle brace though if youre not comfortable with the tape job.

I have a history of spraining my ankles pretty severly (had a couple high ankle sprains requiring a boot), and when I play pickup ball i like to use just the laceup ankle braces which imo work pretty well:

What is Butler's age? I still think it's unlikely. Also, Marion would be getting the same money in 2 years and much older.

I think Deron goes to Dallas if Dwight doesn't come to NJ or he isn't traded somewhere else first, but I doubt Howard follows him to Dallas, regardless. Howard is bitching about the Lakers cuz he doesn't want to be Kobe's #2. Why would he want to be on a team with Dirk + Deron?

He wants to be considered "the man." That's not true with Dirk.

I don't think Dwight entirely knows what he wants. I do think he's going to end up following Deron to wherever he goes, though.

At this point I think Dwight is either staying in Orlando or signing with the Nets. Also, like Mamba said I very much doubt he wants to play 2nd fiddle to Dirk. The same goes with Kobe in LA.

I agree he really doesn't know.

Having said that, I honestly think he either goes to NJ or ends up staying in Orlando. I don't think Dallas happens unless Deron isn't there. Besides how hard it would be to pull off, i really don't think he wants to be a potential 3rd guy in Dallas.

Shit cannot happen. Cannot.

I will slit something if His Genius thinks trading for puss-ass Gasol while giving away lowry is a good idea.

Lowry on the Lakers makes them instantly better and while you won't get Gasol's defense, you still get a pretty potent scorer.

Dragic is not our future.

It's not really hard to pull off though, you just have to convince a team with cap space to take one of the best defenders in the league for two years. The much harder part is convincing Dwight to come.

nobody has cap space now. You'd have to do it in the off-season. Who is going to take Marion that isn't a contender or close to it. And what near contenders, besides Dallas, have cap space?

The fucking T-wolves are not taking Marion.

And by the time you find someone, Dwight might have already picked his team. This is really hard to pull off in the real world. Dwight isn't going to have a 3 month free agency period.
