Tendering Wallace was to be expected considering we were more likely to sign him to a long term deal than franchise tag him. It doesn't make sense to take the $9-10 million dollar hit for this season and not have him secured for next season.
I'll be curious to see if any team actually offers up their 1st rounder for him.

On the Victor Cruz front:

Mike Garafolo

So Victor Cruz is looking for a new agent. But swore no urgency, said not actively seeking new deal and laughed at idea of holding out. FWIW
Of course he's looking for a new deal but it's good to hear he doesn't plan to go all hold out in the offseason.

IMO it's a mistake to just tender him. I'd work to sign him to a new contract and not risk losing him.

Was that nude picture of her real or not? I gotta know.

Also, I have a conspiracy theory that Mike Brown sets up his players when they are heading into free agency so that they look guilty of crimes so he can resign them at a discount rate. Simpson is a complete dipshit.

What nude? Who was it?

Jerome Simpson pleads guilty to felony drug charge. He could face 60 days in prison. No doubt he'll be suspended as well from the NFL...

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/01/jerome-simpson-pleads-guilty-to-felony-drug-charge/

WLWT in Cincinnati reports that Simpson has pleaded guilty to one felony drug charge arising from the arrival of a package full of marijuana at his residence early in the 2011 NFL season.

Under the plea agreement, Simpson faces up to 60 days in jail with work release (does Nike make an officially-licensed ankle bracelet?), three years probation, and 200 hours community service.

Sentencing will occur next month. In addition to potential jail time, Simpson surely faces a suspension from the league office.

Why is Lynn Swann bolded?

Might as well put a strike through Ray Lewis, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning right now. Those are surefire HOFers. I'm pretty sure Warner will get in as well.

It's a crime that Phil Simms isn't in. The SB performance was legendary.

Just highlighting that the HOF WR who also won a Superbowl MVP and multiple rings for the Steelers has had all his career and single season franchise records broken by Hines Ward. (Yancey Thigpen holds yards in a season tho!).

I just really like Hines Ward, dude should get in the HOF from heart alone.

Wow, I expected a whole hell of a lot worse. When that story first broke it sounded like they were going to go after him for trafficking.

turned to be a good a bit less in his house than was initially rumored, maybe that's why. Still over two pounds though.

why is skip still not on the list
Someone cares! :3

I'm late, but I wanted to chime in on the HoF talk.

Carter/Reed/Brown are not really taking votes from one another, their not cancelling each other out. Maybe Reed and Carter did this year, but Reed was in the final group last year without Carter/Brown and still didn't get in.

Each voter has his guy at receiver and won't switch when the list gets paired down. Now if you consider that taking votes from x/y/z fine. In reality they're just a group of stubborn cunts.
