Dunno, it's at the end of v2, so that's after ch8 for me. But whatever, I guess it works like that (reading it along with the chapter it's after)

Yeeaaah I like Run. If Momo tried to stir something up like with Kotegawa, Run would flow with it like a pro. Plus she's always naked the most, that counts for something.

I think chapter 168-171 killed few brain cells. The stupidity is getting too much. "Oh no, my boyfriend washed my dirty underwear, I'll kill him!". I was really about to drop that manga, but 172 looked really, really good. Now that Kenzaki is back, it looks like an awesome start of a new fuck up. Go Haruto, gooooo!

It has some strong adventure elements to it too.

KNIM becomes more boring later on cause shit happens for no reason and none of the conflicts they come up with are interesting.
Yeah, but one can only take so much pseudo-rape/9 pages per chapter before bashing their head against a wall.

I picked up Magi thanks to this thread and upandaway and Minamoto too (mainly because of the reactions which tend to be hilarious).
I'm a manga bulimic. Hell, I even read Wolf Guy entirely up to the latest chapter in one sitting.

We're watching about 12 episodes per batch. Then a break...then when we get the time, 10-12 more episodes.

It was okay. Definitely better than Skypiea or Fishmen Island.
It'd be be getting more talk if the information on the adaption didn't come as slow as the manga scans. Nothing's been said since its announcement last may.

The anime version of fishman Island is much better than the manga so far. I actually understand what's going on.
Not in the anime. There it's a poorly paced, pathetically animated piece of crap.

Magi is really good. The art is extremely shojo, not that it's a bad thing, it just looks out of place sometimes. Nice blend of comedy and action. It's still in the new manga zone, so will I'll follow it, I won't keep my expectations too high. It is quite convoluted though, with so much info to take in. The story is really good though, the friendship angle is overplayed, but thats par for the course, and the conflict is clear and believable. The Rukh is a nice magic system, with a good philosophy to tie to it, and future conflicts should be satisfying to watch. I recommend it.
Beginning is good, but about 2/3rds of the way through it falls apart.
Read TLR instead!

Seriously though, I like the art, and, uuuhh...that's it, the whole premise is fucked-up, barely believable, and has SQUICKY written all over it. The best way to express what I felt during reading it would be ; you know that mental voice that screams "OH COME ON" when you read something you find ridiculous/unbelievable/rage-inducing ? That voice was enjoying itself way too much during my reading of Minamoto-kun
I'm sure if you tweaked a few things about the family connection between the characters it would be enjoyable. Hell, you could even keep the aunt if her teasing was limited to a reasonable amount
