I know it's just four episodes in but this show slowly reveals the plot in the worst way. It follows the formula of Ken's hijinx, Cybuster appearing, Cybuster retreating, and DC members doing something about the environment although not necessarily in that order. They toss a bone here and there but it's not filling.

Scale is used to such great effect in this. The super robots feel so much more... super..

I am at episode 4 right now and wow it is really enjoyable and somehow very charming.
These imagination segments totally get me.
I like the color and the exaggerated behavior just makes me laugh so often.
Like Mari Okada wrote these parts and then the director decided "No. No this is human interaction dreamed up by an alien and some weird kid with a camera."

However the most delicious about this show is the Kanna thing.

Designed to be neglected.
The only way it could have ended up even yummier was if they used the whole first episode to depict the blossoming relationship between Kanna and the oblivious Keito.
It could even lead to a confession halfway through.
Then however Ichika enters the competition in nothing but a skin tight space suit and METEORCRUSHES blue girls futile feelings.
Conveniently Keito loses memory of the confession (or better he pretends to do so) because the alien-magical-girlfriend-impact was just so damn hard.

No I am kidding. This show is great

Are they implying something about the two of them? Probably not.

But then shit gets super duper crazy, and I don't want to post pictures of it because I feel like I'd be spoiling something. The

is some incredibly well-animated destruction.

I like goofy touches like this. It gives Diebuster's universe a lot of personality.

I would like this show more if I weren't comparing it to Gunbuster in my head all the time. I don't have much attachment to it, but it has some good art and insane things happen. The design of

is pretty awesome-looking.

Whatever happens at the end, it's going to look fantastic.

I had already seen this in the past, but watched it again yesterday. One of the things I noticed yesterday which I didn't notice in the past, is how cheap looking and uneven this one was.
Also, I didn't remember Fujiko did let us see (willingly and unwillingly) her tits in their full glory in this one. That was a pleasant surprise

Hiiro no Kakera ep 1

Shrade (Aquarion Evol)? Fitting voice for a fitting character. Mahiro and Takuma are the best in the cast, hilarious together, though Takuma for my favorite. The action was actually rather compelling, as is the magical existences. Curious to see how actiony they can get this anime. Only thing lacking to be honest was in the non battle visuals. I mean at times it seems as if they cant handle scene transitions well or try to cut away to suff too fast? Hard to describe.

Female character models could have used improvements...will keep watching.

IMO characters look better than the game.
