Naruto 577

Plenty of action, and Madara handing ass. To quote Itachi "Geez", the match I've been waiting for is finally next issue. More waiting.

Bleach... anime?

I'm LTTP with the info, but my friends tell me it's ending in March. Is this true? I wonder if they plan to start a new anime series in 2-3 years when the final manga saga concludes, one without the fillers a la ultimate/kai/brotherhood?

Yes ending at ep 366, were at 363 now.

One Piece

AWWWWWWWW YEAH! LAW! he looks so badass. He has to have haki if he think he's strong enough to fight smoker. So now instead of shichibukai it's "Royal Shichibukai" ? awesome!

Can't believe he has such a high bounty, higher than Luffy's. Also I doubt he really brought those hearts of pirates. That sounds like something Kid would do. Maybe he's searching for something and needs the title to reach it? He's selfish but I never took him as "bad"

Naruto

Why is this manga so awful? Why can't Kishi write a good chapter? Why is it always one power up after another? Why is the first hokage so fucking broken? Why did Tsunade even try to do something when we all know she was going to fail? Why can't Kishi draw anymore?

Fuck Kabuto

Naruto 577

Tsunade's involved in the fight was much greater than expected. Too great that it succeded in having an extensively emotional effect. I thought she was actually successful along with the other kage but when she was attacked my spirits sank. It was quite much to see that and not only that but the thought that she is surely going to die brought tears to my eyes. I had to take a break from the manga because the burden was too much. Its as if we are fast tracking Naruto to hokage but at sacrificing key characters. But then the nice turn around at the end with Sastachi and Kabuto bringing one of my most anticipated moments of the arc to fruition at least made me feel a bit better. Powerful chapter.

Bleach
Does anyone else feel like this "final" saga reeks of an unused Bleach movie script? Sudden appearance of new shinigami characters, entirely new set of non-foreshadowed villains in any way, dumb dramatic SOUL SOCIETY WILL BE ERADICATED IN XX DAYS/HOURS premise...

I find that pretty funny after coming off what could be best described as anime filler done as canon with the fullbringers (cousins of the bounto!).

Naruto

The first hogake has so much hax, combined with Madara and Edo Tensei make the Kages look like fodder and irrelevant.
I think Itachi will only need to genjutsu Kabuto but I think he has something in his sleeve.

Bleach

The leader Buckbeard: "I dont like fights"
Declares war to Soul Society. Sigh.

One Piece

Dat Law and his bounty. The plot thickens. Lol at Brook and Robin.

Pretty nice chapter. Dont know why we needed to see so many locations but the end result was glorious. One of my favorite characters getting a promotion and with such large bounty and doing such piratey acts was stunning. Truly Oda knows how to throw a surprise every once in awhile.

Enjoyed the Luffy part of the boat, and Sanji's kick, the other two best parts of the chapter.

Hunter X Hunter 339:

Great wrap up chapter overall (much better ending to everything, including the ant arc), although the shape shifting rabbit "joke" was a bit messed up. I'm really excited for next chapter to see where we go from here.

Naruto
Not really a good chapter .

Bleach
New boss look nice this week kind of slow.

One Piece
Law being a shichibukai has to be because of a plan he has .
A fair amount of enemies on the island can't wait for everything to come together .

One Piece:

What a great suprise, Oda's really done it again. Everything makes sense now, relating to the separated body parts and what seems like medical experiments. As great as it is to see Law as a shichibukai, I'd hate to think that he's the main villian of this arc considering he's wasn't such a bad guy before (Hell, he put himself at risk to save Luffy's life during the war). I know he's still a pirate, but could Law have changed so much that he's experimenting on children and random people now?

I liked both Naruto and Bleach this week. The new antagonists in Bleach look cool, and I've a feeling that they steal bankai and have quincy powers. I'm sure it'll all get tied in together somehow.

One Piece

Sending the hearts of 100 pirates to the government is a pretty badass way to become a Warlord. So with Law, and assuming Buggy also became a warlord that means there is one spot left. I hope the last spot goes to someone we haven't met yet.

Naruto

Well, that was worse than the spoilers suggested. I was right about Kishi not caring enough to give Tsunade a new gimmick, he just recycled an old one and say "it makes her stronger now!".

Why doesn't Itachi just kill Kabuto anyway? Itachi's still as Zombie, so Kabuto would have to end the technique to save his life.

One Piece

Good chapter, as usual. Law becoming a warlord was a bit of a surprise, his direct involvement in this arc far less so. I was kind of expecting him to have "recently passed by" but setting up shop in an old lab of Vegapunk's makes a lot of sense. Chances are he'll end up being the primary antagonist of the arc (But that's not to say this arc is the last time we'll see him).

Guys, Law could have used his fruit and cut out the 100 hearts, keeping the pirates alive. The government would see the hearts, throw them out (who wants 100 random hearts around?), and Law gets them back to his "victims". Problem solved.

Naruto

I really don't understand why people are hating on this chapter. After a string of downright awful chapters, an action packed chapter that moved the damn plot along was welcomed. Tsunade's scuffle vs Madara was good. I'm not a Tsunade fanboy but i've been wanting her to do SOMETHING against him for a while, so it was nice seeing V2 of her life reborn jutsu. We still don't know what it does, so i'm eager to see Kishi explain it in the next chapter. Kishi also justifies sidelining her by making a good point; medics don't fight, and I think this was hard for many of us to accept. We also got a much needed confirmation that Tsunade is in fact stronger than the Raikage, so much so that she can actually punch through Susanoo (whereas a Onoki boosted Raikage couldn't) A special nod goes out to Mei and her 2 jutsu's she showcased. <3 big ass water dragon. I'll admit that the Dan scenes were expositiony unneeded.

The second half of the chapter was pretty good. Itachi finally reached Kabuto, but Kabuto reiterates that killing him will not be enough to stop Edo tensei. Naturally Itachi can blitz via Tsukoyomi right...? A challenger appears in the form of Sasuke, a wild card that can (and will) change things. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next chapter.

One Piece

Oh yeaaaaaaaaaaah. So many things happened in this chapter, I can't believe Oda is juggling 3 character groups in this arc simultaneously. Luffy's group made me smile the most. Robin thinking of riding on top of Usopp made me laugh out loud. I'd let her ride on me any day of the week ♪ Nami's group was short and sweet, it would have annoyed me if they hogged most of the chapter (because frankly, their sub story isn't as interesting). It appears that one of the bosses in this arc is a gas based Logia user... very interesting. Smoker closing in on the Shichibukai... Law?!? HELL. FUCKING. YES. Oda called him a sadistic monster for a reason, he had too. The next few chapters should be a great treat.

Bleach

Meh. 6 pages were wasted on Yamanoto(sp?) talking to the "enemy" which could have been done in 1-3 panels. Oh well. Aside from, the chapter wasn't bad. The ominous message "they can... bankai." Steal? Dissipate? Its honestly interesting, and I hope kubo utilizes it properly. It seems that Ichigo has an immunity to that for some reason... about fucking time his bankai did SOMETHING right. Sick of it being trolled, and its part of the main reason why I've disliked Bleach for a while. Hopefully in this arc, it kicks ass. The main villain looks interesting, but Aizen 4 pissed me off, Kubo needs to improve his villain designs, honestly.

Law... no let anyone ANYONE with that power would never end up wasting that much time. Face it man, Law's a sick bastard who is willing to do anything to get ahead in the new world. He has a reputation for being a cruel pirate, Oda isn't a hack writer he remembers these things. You know, like most pirates ♪

That theory where Law is holding Luffy's heart is starting to sound more likely though.

Naruto

Kishi had two options: troll Tsunade or hype. It seems he has done both. If it weren't for Senju Wood Madara'd be dead.

Itachi/Sasuke X Kabuto will be different I hope. Shisui resurrected perhaps?

BLEACH

Sasakibe ain't dead? Oh Kubo.

Are these guys the Royal Guard?

I don't think it'd take much more time considering the action is the same.

That said...

"Wut" to the bolded.

It's still something that Law would never even consider doing. Like, why even take 100 hearts in the first place if you're going to return them. It seems counter-productive and a huge waste of time. You're adding altruism to Law's character for no reason.

The theory i'm talking about is that Law (after saving Luffy's life) actually holds his heart (for bargaining purposes, etc) I didn't think it was plausible at the time it was brought up but now...

One Piece

Okay I gotta write some shit to get myself on top of things

Context
- Island was Vegapunk's lab (semi-silent reveal)
- 4 years ago some science shit happened
- 2 years ago Aokiji and Akainu battled there
- Law shot up to 440 then became Shichibukai
Parties
- Law with gas people
- M with animal-human hybrids
- Smoker
- Giant+normal kids
- Samurai (in 3 parts)

Law's crew is keeping the kids inside the cold side (and want them safe) against their wishes. Law himself cut up the samurai and caught his head (moving parts probably escaped). Either M or Law kidnapped samurai's son (along with all the other kids, and probably for the same reasons) and was chased by him to the island where he attacked M's party. It DOESN'T look like the samurai's son was in Biscuit's Room, so there could be multiple groups of kids, or his son is specifically held somewhere else, maybe in M's hands.
M's party could be experiments from either Law or Vegapunk (and if it's Law he's probably continuing where Vegapunk stopped). The dragon, too.

That's all we know, right? It's hard to keep track. I need my god damn OP guide, why did he stop doing that thing.

About Law, I don't see what's wrong with the 100 hearts.
He sent the government proof that he killed 100 pirates (which he did to get the role). Normally, he'd have sent them 100 heads. He sents their hearts instead of heads because he's Law. That's all.

Said it before, will say it again.

Yamato is getting powered up in that wall (?) with the First.

He will kill Zombie Madara.

He will be the First reborn

That would actually be pretty cool.

So much hype surrounding the first, I'd want him back too.

too bad it's making every subsequent generation look like shit, though

Pretty stunning chapter with Old man Yama's performance the previous chapter and this chapter being excellent. Ichigo looked quite epic in that one panel when we he fended off Ivan's assault.

I like how the arc essentially ushers in the same feelings of epicness that the Arrancar saga had with Ivan being like a carbon copy of my second favorite character, Grimmjow, minus the compelling character design, but essentially the same personality (though not as happy), tone to his superiors, and even having his arm cutoff. Even more like Aizen, the antagonist even carries the same sort of opinions on fighting and resides in an luxurious off the map Spanish location. I cant wait to hear the name.

Robin thinking about her and Luffy riding on top of Zoro and Usopp was hilarious.

More so when you notice in the background that Zoro is already warming up/stretching to swim.

Also how everyone ignored Usopp when he started talking about his 2 years

And Robin talking about how Usopp has a lot of seeds

Naruto
This shit is pissing me off with this 1st Hokage wank from Kishi. We get it, the mofo was strong as fuck, now please STFU about him. At the very least Tsunade was able to do something impressive for once. Never seen anyone break through Susanoo'o.

Bleach

Is it just me, or does the villain at the end seem to fit the OP universe than Bleach....?

Naruto

Amazingly shit, the translation and the dialogue were both abysmal. So so bad.

Bleach

Back to shitty pacing and wasted panels, eh Tite?

I like the design of that building but the villains look pretty shitty imo.

One Piece

Awesome to see Law's new redesign, and it looks great. Everyone seems convinced he's a decent guy, but I don't think we know enough about him to say that he's Luffy's friend, he may have had ulterior motives behind helping him, and his powers could certainly have nefarious uses considering we have no idea exactly what he did with Luffy.

The banter between the crew was great as usual. Also, banana boat!

Spain isn't Icy buddy. Quite the opposite

Bleach

wait, who is this guy who got his arm cut off, cause it looked like ginjo to be. im just mindfucked i dont see where bleach is going....

Naruto
well naruto being naruto, at kishi isnt nerfing characters.

Bleach

The ice castle that Kubo mentioned in the interview was about these guys. Some people on BA were right. I doubt Chojiro meant that they have bankai rather that they stop/block bankai like what Ivan tried to do with Ichigo.

Naruto

It´s nice seeing Tsunade does something. I am so fucking sick of hearing about legendary crap. First it was the Uchiha, than MS, the Rinnegan, Madara and now Hashirama. We know about what Hashirama can do and i already am sick of him, and his damn abilities.

one piece

Very nice chapter. The samurai´s body seem to be a competent fighter. I always mix up Law and Kid for some reason.

Noblesse

I was expecting 21 to awake his werewolf abilities by himself. Bummer. Now Regis is joining the fight and now they will stomp the enemy.

One Piece

So, Law is a doctor. He kidnapped a bunch of sick children to cure them. Their parents are the ones that made the distress call. Straw Hats are caught up in a huge misunderstanding.

Damnit One Piece. Great chapter.

Law is a doctor, not really a surprise that he'd be in Vegapunks lab hanging out with a sentient blob of goo. His reveal was awesome though, greeting Smoker and crew at the front door. The guy was always a problem but by now he must be pretty serious. The way he's set up shop reminds me of Moria in thriller bark.

I hope he's not the main antagonist though. Luffy's beat down enough Schichibukai's by now. Law is more interesting as an ally. We'll see though.

EDIT: LOL @ the samurai though, I was surprised to see that Brooke couldn't take it down. Wait until he's whole again. I completely expect a him to get schooled by Zoro once he gets his pieces together.

Naruto: C-

Eh. I guess this was cool. Tsunade...no one cares. No one fucking cares.

The second part of this chapter is stupid. Itachi is dumb. Sasuke is an idiot. And does Kabuto think he has some sort of leverage? Why? Itachi has infinite chakra right now (swag on a million) that Kabuto gave him. What's to stop Itachi from hitting him with a genjutsu and making him end the technique.

Then kicking Sasuke's dumbass to kingdom come.

Where the hell is Naruto? Fuck Naruto. Tobi is Hashirama. All the Hashirama namedropping is frankly weird. I'm not sure what Kishimoto is trying to come across as doing with that shit.

Bleach: B-

Empty pages. At least there were a couple of good tidbits of information. Most important among them being about these quincy (?) motherfuckers that can probably do something to bankais. But it doesn't work for Ichigo, probably because he has a hollow or Fullbring powers.

Then we've got a big bad reveal. He looks like Zangetsu. But he looks like a badass motherfucker. What did he even do to cut the dudes entire arm off? I like something about Ivan but I feel like he's the loser of the group.

Naruto

I really don't understand why people are hating on this chapter.
The problem is that it doesn't make sense. Where the hell did this "forbidden" jutsu come from? Why didn't she use it against Pain? Is she gonna fall out into a coma again?

No one cares about Tsunade anymore. No one ever cared about the Mizukage. At the end of the day, this fight just feels like it's about a weirdo (Madara) vs some fodder. It doesn't even feels like it matters as much as it should.

Aizen

Did that Aizen just get cut by a beardman? Good, I didn't want another Aizen.

Naruto

One Piece

If the Luffy Heart speculation is correct, Law is possibly the creepiest character in One Piece.

Cool chapter though, I'm curious about the next chapter, I want to see where this Law/Smoker encounter will go.

One Piece
Anyone notice the subtle hint at how much stronger Brooke's gotten? Remember Zoro vs Ryuuma when Ryuuma used this attack, Zoro used his cannon, and Brook commented how his version was no where near as strong? Now it appears to be. Awesome chapter. Finally people can stop the stupid theories that Buggy somehow gained more powers when it always made sense that it was Law. Can't wait to see the boss. I wonder if this island will actually have a new crewmate...although, the crew really doesn't need another swordsman. I WANNA SEE MORE SUPERNOVAS! I hope the New World has us meeting up again with all of them!

Naruto
No idea wtf was going on. They need to stop wanking about the past. It seems the older characters are SUPER strong, then there's Naruto/Sasuke, then everyone else is fairly weak from the current adult generation. Glad to see Tsunade doing something useful. I'm guessing Itachi will end the edo tensei through some sort of genjutsu making Kabuto stop

Bleach
Lol...as usual, tons of wasted pages and space. Nice to see the final villain isn't some "pretty boy" villain like Aizen. Although the retread of Grimmjow getting his arm cut off, really?! I'm glad to see the last arc seemed to have a big impact on the current events. Because Ichigo got his powers back through some weird fullbring/shinigami mix, that probably explains why the dude couldn't capture his bankai. Also, maybe these guys aren't quincy's...how do they have bankais? Despite my complaints this arc is pretty interesting, although, that's usually how Bleach arcs start

Actually i think it means the 3rd was the baddest mofo of all time for taking the 1st the 2nd and Oro at the same time.

Actually I think Kishi is just adding powers and upping the strength of characters we already have an idea about to make the villains seem more powerful than they really should be. The power levels in Naruto are fucked.
