But the women up there are all fat and ugly. We could just go to Milwaukee.

I don't know, either, Mike. I don't know, either.

One of the best parts of this Peyton Manning marathon on NFLN is the look back at Super Bowl XLI. I don't think it was that glamorous of a game (Super Bowl XLIV* wins in that department), and as a result, doesn't get that much airplay, but it still had a lot of big-time moments and plays.

Devin Hester balled so hard on the opening kickoff, he's an all-time talent in his own right.

Well fuck. I just now got to see the press conference from earlier.

I'm crying man tears.

This franchise was absolute garbage before Peyton got here. I'm talking Cleveland Browns level of garbage. Just a fucking cesspool of pain and misery. I fully expect the franchise to go back in that direction now. If anyone disagrees, you don't know the Irsay's very well. Peyton made everyone in the front office look good.

Andrew luck has been great but was the beneficiary of the greatest college coach of our generation. Will the colts have a strong coaching staff?

Not that a Rams fan could ever talk, but some teams have a pretty bad rep, and could use a dynamic QB to give the org some juice it needs. The Chiefs/Browns/Bills should all be in the market for a Peyton, and willing to pay what it takes.

Look what he did for Indy. It was a football backwater and now it's a possible SB site, again, b/c of Peyton's impact. Again, I'm not smack talking. The Rams knew they were losing what goodwill they had remaining from their SB win, and went and paid Fisher to at least signal that they were in it to win.

I think Bills and Browns fans have to be in a similar place. How many years of losing do they think the fans will tolerate? I'm not saying be Jerry Jones or Dan Snyder, but sometimes you do have to make a move based at least in part on PR

peypey era 141- 67 1 sb 11 playoffs in 14 years

other 312 -343 - 7 (3 nfl champions/1 sb while in balt)13 playoffs in 46 years

Indianapolis era only and separating Baltimore history it goes

peypey 141-67 1 sb 11 playoffs in 14 years

other 89-149 3 playoffs in 15 years

I really think Andrew will kill it in the NFL. The guy is almost underrated because all this press RG3 got lol

Also - I'm still a huge Alex fan, but I think we gotta go after Peyton. We're already a playoff contender, but with Peyton, I'd say we'd be one of the 3 favorites to win the 'ship. Do it Baalke.

Yeah I think when a team moves it becomes a different team. I was referring just to the Indianapolis Colts. Those fans have no connection to Johnny U. He belongs to Baltimore

edit: is this 'ship thing from the NBA thread?

It's funny/sad/crazy that our coach Walt Kiesling thought Johnny U wasn't smart enough to play in the NFL which is why we cut him so fast.

Who do you see as the other two? I'd of said the saints before the whole clusterfuck that is the bounty scandal (And franchising brees). I'd say Greenbay's the only one I'd bet on besides us (And I'm a homer at that, doubt we go 13-3 again, more likely 11-5 or 10-6 due to tougher schedule).

Fins lost all their season ticket holders just last off-season. Ross is gonna do everything in his power to bring 'em back.

IF (huge if) the Niners get Peyton, they're my favorite to win it all.

I think they have to make concessions to get Peyton (losing Rogers) which would leave them with a slightly worse defense (and butthurt Tiny Hands
butthurt Tiny Hands means butthurt FMT
), but Pey Pey's worth ten wins. Literally.

The Colts went from 14-2 and a SB appearance two years ago with Manning to 2-14 and a number one pick without him.

I was saying we were a favorite without Peyton, assuming that we keep our D together and maybe grab a CB and WR in FA/draft. (Also assuming we keep Rogers)

I guess its way too early to ask about favorites for the superbowl, since FA and the draft will shake things up a lot.

I'd say we'd be the main pick if we got Peyton, and yes I'm being a homer (plus I'm imagining us trading our #1 for Mike Wallace). Green Bay would be there, and Patriots/Balitmore/Steelers etc.

You can eliminate Houston for Peyton.

So evidently there's this thing called "basketball" that's going on right now and apparently we just recently got a team in Minnesota. We're doing pretty well considering all the white people we have.

I may watch this until baseball starts.

Who's got the cap room for Manning though? I mean we're talking 15 mil per year or so...

I think cap room matters less if he can find a team he really considers to be a great superbowl contender. I mean, yeah, he wants to get paid, but I doubt he's going to demand a set amount.

Dolphins would need to restructure a shitload of contracts to be able to join that race. I think dude wants to be paid but won't go to, say, the Bucs just because he could get 5-10 mil more there.

Well I would imagine he's going to be having some private workouts soon so we can get an idea of where he's headed
