DE/OLB Chandler Jones drawing interest from Giants scouts at his pro day. Also drew interest at the combine from the team. Giants beat reporters saying the team may bring him in for a visit as well. The Giants don't mask their intentions for the draft. If they bring in a player, there's a good possibility they will draft him.

Jones said a scout from the New York Giants showed more interest Thursday following up on his performance from the Combine and talked about the team's history in drafting pass-rushers from the Big East, referring to former South Florida standout Jason Pierre-Paul, who emerged as one of the league's leading sack totalers this season.

Jones also has history with Pro Day workouts, having watched his older brother Arthur go through the same process two years ago. Arthur Jones was drafted in the fifth round by the Baltimore Ravens; Chandler is projected as high as late first round to early second round, which would give him family bragging rights.
Pass rush, pass rush, pass rush.:)

Time to put bounties out on Andy Lee and David Akers.

You take them out and the Niners are a 5-11 team.

Sounds reasonable. I will put in $599 into the fuck up Lee bounty fund. That is worth at least the price of my PS3.

Now the rest of you bums get second jobs so we can make sure that the Niners suck next year and the Rams win the division.

Sadly I paid more than that for my PS3. Being a fanboy is tough work.

Sry think out of Chandler and Art.Jon has bragging rights

I don't remember, was the PS3 hard to get at launch? I don't remember PS2 levels of hysteria.

I haven't really been a fanboy of systems like the SNES and I was a teenager. Since then I have only been a fan of games. This gen was really weak for me games wise but I might just be growing out of the hobby.

only for the first week to 10 days. People made some money in that initial window.

I walked into a store on launch day and got my PS3. I had to pre-order both the Wii and 360 though.

Update:

Adam Schefter

Filed to ESPN: Colts are fielding telephone calls from teams interested in trading for perennial Pro Bowl defensive end Dwight Freeney.

The new Colts regime has heaped praise on Freeney and Robert Mathis, but this news is hardly surprising. Freeney is not only dead-set against converting to outside linebacker in Chuck Pagano's 3-4 scheme, he's also carrying a prohibitive salary cap figure of $19.035 million. While Freeney is on the wrong side of thirty, he should draw plenty of interest from contenders with 4-3 defenses. Mar 9 - 10:23 AM

I can relate. I bought a 360 and PS3 at launch. After my 360 finally bricked I stopped playing console games for good. My Ps3 was always used mostly as a bluray player, I think I only picked up a few sony exclusives for it and never finished any of them.

You don't even want to see my steam backlog of games. At $5-15 dollars a pop, I don't really mind, but I havent played even 20% of the games I have.

I kind of realized I don't have the time or attention span to sit around and waste a day in front of the tv or pc playing games. I rather read, watch a movie, or do something else.

DUI for an NFL player sounds about right. It's funny one of the TE in the draft that is worth something got a DUI. Normally that would probably effect him, but i think with how thin the TE class is, I don't really think it will.

Update: Freeney news

As a Colts fan, I knew this was going to happen, but damn, I wasnt aware that we were going to have SO MUCH turnover. Peyton gone and players due to their hit on the salary cap include Wayne, Freeney, Brackett, Bullitt, Addai and Clark. Saturday and Garcon seem to be gone as well.

I understand most of this and agree actually, but when is it TOO much gutting? I mean, at some point, you have to field a team right? Luck gonna love taking the field with Donald Brown, Austin Collie, Blair White, Jacob Tamme, and Quan Cosby and no offensive line to speak of.

The Freeney thing though (hurts as he's me favorite player), I cant wrap my head around. Sure, crazy big cap hit, and it makes since to move him if he wont work with the Colts to lower his numbers, but then why sign Mathis to a 36 million dollar contract? Next season gonna be.... something.

our offense does what it takes to win the game. remember, and i can't stress this enough, this was an entirely new coaching staff and a new system for everyone involved. we weren't great, but putrid? lololol. sorry bro, but that is ridiculous. we started to open up the offense a bit more towards the end of the season but like i said a few days ago, when you have your #5 WR starting near seasons end it kind of limits what you can do. i'm not making an excuse for injuries or new system because i don't have to: we went 13-3 and got to the NFC championship game. no excuses needed.

and our special teams are awesome as is our defense. you say that as if it's a bad thing. maybe your team should concentrate on making a more well rounded team instead of throwing all your eggs in the peyton manning basket and hoping for the best.

and i'm glad you're expecting the niners to take a huge drop. it will be all the more delicious when we run away with the division again and you are left making excuses for the 49ers success!

p.s. i said the niners averaged 21 points against the cards last year. we scored 23 and 19 points in 2 games. add it up!

How did I say it's a bad thing? I complimented your D and ST and said they are the reason you win games. Your garbage offense can hide behind them but hey, it works because they other two are that good. My whole point was that I think your offense needs to step it's game up to have a legit chance at winning a chip. I don't know that it can happen with Smith throwing the ball. We'll see, maybe your coach will pull a Houdini when you get some more weapons. I just don't see Smith doing anything but playing conservative ball. Your game is clock management and keeping the score low but hey, it worked for the Spurs!

Completely agree that you need a rounded team. I'm happy with the D and we have some solid players on ST, good enough to win. It's the O that needs upgrading and Peyton would go a LONG ways towards doing that. We need a #2 WR and some upgrades on the line before I'd even consider call us top contenders, but I think we're far enough along that PM gives us a chance.

You honestly think you're going to sniff 13 wins again? You're not going to have a HUGE drop, I think you guys can reach around 10. I need to look at your schedule again. I namely just expect teams to be better prepared for you this year, who wouldn't look down on the Niners, who would take them seriously going into last season? The schedule is more difficult as well. I think those two factors are what hurts you, not that the Niners will suck. That said, the schedule is more difficult for us as well. As for the score average, my bad! I was tired and didn't read it right. I thought you were just talking about the one game we touched on. Just wait for this season, man.

Nah our d ain't good. Special teams is the reason they looked good. Now the Arizona cardinals defense... Wow. THERE is a defense you can really set your watch to. They were a rag tag group of outsiders with no family and no home until one man, ray Horton, taught them to live AND love again. And now we are witnessing one of the greatest defenses in nfl history. Thank you bidwells for putting this magnificent defense together and possibly signing peyton manning so that I might witness perfection for once in my life!

Amen :jnc

The older I get the more games I play, but that is due to games getting better and better every year.

Better in some ways worse in others.

I think I played the DS more than my PS3 and definitely more than my Wii (still worth it for Galaxy alone, heads and shoulders above anything else I played). The games speak for themselves, if a game is addictive and a masterpiece like Galaxy I can't put it down.

Then again I am not that into FPS games.

Somehow the 3DS does not seem as appealing as the DS. Vita seems really cool but I am not sure if the games will be there. Not sure which will end up being my DS replacement.

I think they are better in every way now. Opinions and such. I do agree about the DS, when it came out it was new and fresh, the controls brought new possibilites to games. The 3DS is basically a DS with a tiny graphics upgrade and a horribly implemented 3D gimmick. I really hope they put out something for it that changes my opinion of it.

You're rebuilding. A large amount of gutting comes along with that. Especially when you're coming off of a 2-14 season and have released your franchise QB of 14 years (and one of the greatest to ever play the position). You definitely have to field a team but Irsay said it himself - your years away and it's going to take time and possibly fielding some less than great teams to build around.

It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. Having Peyton as your QB has to spoil you as a fan... There are going to be some serious withdrawal symptons next year.

Interesting Colts attendance really didn't drop off yoy

2010) 19 Indianapolis 8 535,802 66,975 106.3% of capacity

2011) 20 Indianapolis 8 518,627 64,828 102.9% of capacity

It will be interesting what 2012 entails

It's going to suck to be Mark Sanchez this coming year.

The Jets aren't getting Manning, so the fans are going to let him hear about that every time he loses. He doesn't have Schotty to fall on the sword every time he screws up. A quarter of his games will be against Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. And Kate Upton is going to inevitably dump him for someone who doesn't buy his clothes from Douchebag Baby Gap.

Like you said, opinions.

On the 3DS I am never as concerned with the hardware as most people are. The DS looked like a huge turd next to the PSP but it won on its games. The DS was the only platform where i played stuff that felt totally new, stuff like Phoenix Wright, and a lot of 16 bit stuff (which I am a huge whore for).

As long as he is banging Upton it cannot suck to be Mark Sanchez.

As a fan you never want your qb to be obsessed with hot pussy but as a man you can't fault his logic! A lot of qb's have won Superbowls, but how many have fucked a girl like that?

I kind of hope the same happens to Rodgers...

It's not that easy with Rodgers.

In Wisconsin, he has three choices:

1) Cancer patients

2) Older women wearing nothing but cheese bras.

and

3) Younger, large, and not visually attractive women.

We already know how he feels about cancer patients. And Big Ben has cornered the market on big-boned women. That leaves the cheese-cougars.
