Only the most deluded Lakers homer could believe this.

Their numbers are similar, but Bynum is playing with the biggest ballhog in the league and could easily average 22-25ppg as the first option. Gortat's peak isn't anywhere near Bynum's peak, and Nash will be retired in two years max.

Maybe it would benefit the Lakers this year, but it would kill them over the next five to seven.

Gortat has two working knees. Bynum would get injured 5 games into being the first option.

Giri I'm Canadian. I get it man he's one of the greatest pg's ever, hof material totally. But there will be a day when he stops. Hell, he'll probably stop earlier just so he can be more of a father to his kids. Bynum isn't going to love the suns like he did, but he'll play and he'll be a good piece to build around, he's been doing heavy minutes this season he'll hold up.

If the suns really love 'em. They'll set him free.

there's 2 teams nash can't get traded too.

Lakers
Spurs

Anywhere else.
OKC, Chicago, Magic, clippers, 76'ers, pacers, blazers, grizzlies where he'd be going to a contender and an upgrade at the PG spot.

I personally, don't even need a whole heap back for the guy, to call it an ok trade. 2 1st round picks, or a legit piece and 1 st or something.

i.e. Nash for Collison. Thats never going to be a high pick, and Nash just might make the pacers offense look like it exists.

And that disregards how factually wrong people are when they say bynum is a player you can build around.

You're not getting two first round picks for Nash. Unless there's a team that is at the absolute cusp of winning it all and need him to push them over... and just happen to have two first round picks to offer.

Nash is a short term deal.

It'll be pretty tough to do with the new CBA anyhow. Teams can't trade consecutive picks, and many of the would-be-contenders already have a pick tied up somewhere else.

What they could do is buy a pick from another team and trade it to the Suns. But the one team that sells first rounders like hotcakes is... the Suns. lol.

So giri, lez-b-honest, if Nash was traded to the Lakers or the Spurs, would you cheer for them?

also: really? You are OK with Nash going to the Heat or Thunder? Ew.

LoL, Nash will play until kobe does.

Also, any team that trades for Nash would be a contender, you're talking about 2 very late first round picks. like 20th or so.

But more importantly, you're not getting a good player for Bynum. So it's moot.

No. I wouldn't. People in here last year were all "if it was a laker heat final, even all the laker haters would cher for the lakers". No, i wouldn't have.

And no, i'm sorry, but even on the Spurs, i couldn't do it.

It would... really really cheapen the league for me if he won a ring on either of those two teams.

And yes, Nash on OKC would be fair awesome.

Heat don't have the pieces to get him so it's no worry.

respekt

I really hope I won't have to go through the same sort of shit with Parker or Pop after Tim and Manu retire. Moving G-Hill MVP was hard enough for me...

why so much lakers hate from a Suns fan? Spurs hate I understand...

Expect Josh McRoberts to play again tonight. (No, not b/c Pau Gasol was traded.) Now that Lakers are losing, Brown more willing to change.

YES!

Is there a good gif of the Nic Young layup? So good.

Your opinion, it is hilarious.

B. You might want to give one of the best pure scorers of the last 20 years a couple more weeks adjusting to TWO new point guards without any real practice time before deciding this situation can't be redeemed (especially when those two point guards are a de facto rookie and someone coming off back surgery who hasn't been relevant in three years).

E. I went to Sunday's nationally televised Knicks-Celtics game in Boston. Carmelo made what seemed to be the clinching basket; Pierce made a 3 to tie; then Carmelo had a chance to win the game in regulation. As 'Melo was getting off the shot, everyone in the building had a collective slow-motion heart attack. Noooooooooooooooooo! We all thought that shot was going in. In my opinion, seven 2012 players make opposing fans crap their pants in a big moment: Kobe, Wade, Durant, Rose, Dirk, Carmelo … and just on reputation alone, Ray Allen. If you employ one of those players, you have a better chance of winning the title than everyone else. That's the way basketball works. Everything slows down, the pressure turns suffocating, games swing on one or two possessions, and playoff series hinge on two questions: "Can you get a stop when it matters?" and "Can you get two points when it matters?" You have the second question covered thanks to Carmelo. You need to work on the first question. In short, I think you should give this a few more weeks. You go 10-deep. Your team is scary. Take a deep breath and enjoy the ride … and remember, five years ago, the most riveting Knicks-related story you were following was a sexual-harrassment suit.

lol, so bad.

Tyrus gets his first start in months and he gets T'd up before the end of the 1st.

makes sense from Kobe's end. Not sure from Phoenix's. All based on '10?

There's a fairly long history of the two franchises always being some of the best teams out west. Constantly making the pacific the toughest division to win.

The current distaste probably originates back to the raja bell clothes line year. The constant sour groups over two time. 2 years ago series where Amare shat the bed.. Every suns/laker game has always had a lot of feeling in it.

I agree. I just didn't realize it was so hateful from your end. I know Laker fans are still bitter about '06.

I really dislike teams too, like Phx, but the only one that would actively bother me is Boston like when Shaq went there (other than Miami because I just really don't want them to win).

this game is brutally bad

Also the Cats commentators said Okur may end up retiring, is his back that bad?

Okur was always seen as an expiring.

Even though the team is 5-25, they're actually moving. Its amazing how different they look without Diaw.

Michael Lee
Source just told me #wizards have informed teams they can have any player except John Wall if they are willing to take Andray Blatche

Also, no Malcolm Lee or Barrea tonight. Pek starting.

Oh, and OKC turned down a Dwight for Ibaka + Harden offer, supposedly.

I concur. The only franchise i actually really hate is the spurs. but i in general, dislike the like lakers, strongly.

Thats about it really.
