Couple nice moments for LeBron - esp. tying 3 end of reg (progress!) Missed FTs, late 3 in OT. But when it was TIME, Batman ended it. DWADE!

lol i knew it.

Anyone who can't see that he's just doing this to drive ratings up... well i dont know what to say to them.

I was also glad to hear Horry give Dream his rightful props.

Just wait until you get to the Cuban podcast. 'televisions.. they are the future'.

haha, yeah I heard that too. Cuban has a vested interest in television so I guess the man knows how to try and sell his product.

He literally said he wouldn't be mad at Joe Paterno if his son was molested at Penn State, literally.

Yeah, I heard that show.

I remember him saying that if the Heat won Game 7, he was going to skip his daughter's elementary graduation to come in and stick it to all of Miami's (and Vegas, who we know is never wrong) haters. His daughter would understand.

It was hilarious when, after Game 6, he sheepishly said how he wasn't gonna be in the next day because his daughter was graduating, all while downplaying the Mavs winning and pointing to how they overachieved in their first year together and what team like that could be expected to actually win it all, year one.

ANSWER:

2008 Czzz, which he of course, never mentioned

Mavs are done, LO screwed up the chemistry and now Jets dumbass had to ruin it even more.

This is incorrect.

You guys are done (this year) because Cuban wasn't interested in allowing the 2011 team to defend their title. He patchworked together a roster (that could be competitive on paper but in no way repeat as champions) because he is all in on Deron and Dwight coming to Dallas.

We'll see if that gamble pays off.

I thought he could only go for one or the other?

I believe the Mavericks have to amnesty either Marion or Haywood. Then they can sign two.

That would leave Dirk, Roddy B, Dominique Jones and whichever isn't amnestied as the only players under contract.

Predictions for the future that I can look back on:

1) Ricky will come back in December. He will miss about 20 games and we will be too far behind in the standings to make a comeback and make a push for the playoffs (i.e. no playoffs).

2) Love trade rumors will start coming up. He will leave when his contract is up.

Yup, that's about it.

Dude...you need to calm down, seriously.

We have no idea what will happen and we certainly don't know that Rubio will be out 9 months. If it's 6 months, he's back by the beginning of the season.

He's a young kid--he will likely heal quicker than older people in a similar situation.

Let this run its course, bro.

I hope I'm wrong. Just my current prediction. Only reason I see it going the full 9 is because they're going to want to be as cautious as possible with him.

You forgot Odom's $2.4 million buyout. And 8 open spots = $4 million in cap holds ($500k per).

That's $39 million total. That's not even $20 million to sign unless the salary cap moved up a lot (which also means some salaries probably move up anyway). Unless D12 and Deron are signing for $10 million each, it ain't happening without another move by Cuban (or 2 or 3).

It's not analogous to the big 3 because Wade took a pay cut. Dirk cannot do so. He eats about $21 million in cap room next season. Wade cut it to $15 mil or wtvr and haslem was half of Marion.

Unless marion or haywood are traded, D12 + Deron is impossible without massive paycuts. Which is exactly why Cuban said he's really not looking at Deron and D12 but rather cap flexibility.

Cuban said that because he doesn't want Stern to hit him with tampering charges.

Rubio's gunna be fine, he's young. And if Love leaves.. Damn that would just be a bummer. I wouldnt blame him but it would just be nice to see a small market team rise up through the draft and go all the way. Like I'm hoping OKC does

Even if they just get Deron or Dwight, they're going to have a ton of money to spend on solid role players.

Which is what I think Cuban is planning.

Deron + Marion + dirk + role players.

Cuban said that because he doesn't want Stern to hit him with tampering charges.

Hardly. Cuban realizes in the new CBA you can't just spend your way out anymore because of the structural changes. And he wouldn't be tampering to say "sure, we want to see if we can add 2 superstars."

Cuban, above all else, is a smart business man and knows how to adapt. He sees how the market and system has changed and is ready to play by the new rules.

Also, the Warriors just need to let curry heal the rest of the season. Shut him down. See if that fixes shit. He's going the way of Grant Hill.

-Someone should make a Donald Sterling BlackPeopleMeet account.
-Someone should make a tracklist for Sterling's debut 'My Beautiful Dark Body Fantasy'

Just some things that crossed my mind today.

I love how Green wasn't god enough for the Lakers bench but he's scored more points in 7 games than many of our bench guys have scored all season

I'm sure it's been talked about, but it needs to be posted again.

The Unanimous Dunk of the Year

Head-above-the-rim-windmill-alley-oop?

Looks soooo good in real time.

Whatever. We beat the Nets! Shut it down!

Nah, this is one of those things where you can't trust what Cuban is saying. Especially since he never actually rules it out. It's not like you'd need to put much around a Deron/Dirk/Dwight team. Just some warm bodies who can defend and hit wide-open shots.

Besides, his argument doesn't actually contradict this. Role players will get overpaid next year, so going after superstars makes sense.

I'm saying i don't think he's stripping down just to go after Deron/Dwight. I think he's stripping down to become flexible going forward under the new rules. If it gives him the chance to get Deron/Dwight, I'm sure he takes it, but it's not why he's doing why this (unlike Miami).

And it's why I don't see marion being moved, anyway, to allow it to happen.

Well I agree that he has multiple plans and it's not solely to pursue Deron and Dwight. However, that would clearly be the best of all possibilities, and if you can you take it every time.

Lakers contacted the Bobcats about DJ on Thursday as part of a multi-team trade involving Toronto, Houston, and Orlando. Diaw is actually wanted by Toronto for whatever reason. Maggette would head to LA somehow along with DJ and Scola. Bobcats would get shafted with Kevin Martin.

Its messy ass intel but its the same guy who leaked the Tyrus trade, the Wallace trade, the JRich/Dudley trade, and DJ's contract fiasco. Other names included in the deal - Matt Barnes, Jameer Nelson, DJ White, Howard, and Gasol. The biggest hold ups are apparently coming from Charlotte and Toronto as they're both trying to get more out of it.

I simply do not have the brain power to fill in the gaps... Its in no way a done deal, just what hit Charlotte's side so far.

Maggette? Fuck that...
