God, seeing these quarians pricks getting slaughter by the Geth was so satisfying. And poor Tali begging for her retarted people before jumping the cliff... So good.gif

Good ridance. Quarians where, after the ending of ME3, the most retarded thing in ME universe

What is the original photo they shopped for Tali? Link?

I think the squad selection was poor. For example, if your Shepard doesn't use Biotics and you don't have Kaiden or Javik you only have Liara as a Biotic, meaning you'd have to take her on every mission as Biotic powers a generally needed all the time. But you have essentially 3 (or 4 if you include an Engineer Shepard) Tech squad members in Garrus, Tali and Edi. Really poor. I liked the characters but as far as gameplay goes it simply means that Shepard needs to be a Biotic. Sure, you may be able to play with no Biotics but why essentially only one character who can use them? Doesn't make sense.

What? Seriously? You can get Tali to commit suicide?

Squad selection from a combat perspective definitely was poor but every time I was at the selection screen I struggled trying to decide who was going to come with me and Garrus, because I was thinking strictly from a dialog point of view. Only mission I didn't bring Garrus on was Thessia because I was tipped off on how useful Javik is there.

Side with the Geth at the end of Rannoch and she'll kill herself after seeing the Quarian fleet get destroyed, assuming you didn't fulfill the conditions for saving both sides.

Awww I was about 2 seconds away from letting the geth blast them away but I have to admit her crying and begging won me over at the last second. I actually went into that whole mission thinking I was going to side with the Geth but for some reason I just kept feeling sorry for the Quarians.

So let me guess, we'll get DLC for a mission to take back Omega with Aria, and maybe something with the Yahg. Can't really think of anything else that needed to be resolved or dealt with.

Saw a thread on BSN that mentions that if you don't help out at Grissom Academy fast enough, Jack gets converted into a Phantom.

http://youtu.be/yPJj8efNskM

Despite being rather morbid, I couldn't help but laugh at the "I will destroy you", gets me every time.

Damn, actually glad she just died at the end of my ME2. Better that way than turned.

Yeah, side with Geth and she jumps off cliff. Now, there's a Paragon trigger option. I "thought" I hit it, but it showed that Shepard didn't grab her hand in time. Is it possible I didn't hit it fast enough? Or is there anything different at that point.

So what the fuck happened to the Collectors ship?

I meant to ask this as well. I guess it's laughable now to think if anything special occurs if you let Cerberus keep the Collector Ship.

I mean, I blew it up, and they still were able to magically get some of the human reaper remains to their headquarters.

Ouch. So what's the most brutal thing you can do to a former squadmate? Shoot Mordin in the back? Get Tali to commit suicide after helping destroy her people? Let Jack get captured and indoctrinated by Cerberus?

Gah. You really can be a right bastard, can't you?

From what I understand, the difference is about 25 war asset points.

Not sure what you mean. In that ending, Shepard survives. For no reason in the wrong place and limited to one ending with way too much war assets.

That's like the secret ending for beating the game a second time isn't it? I think what might have happened is that Shepard was knocked out in London and he dreamed the rest of it. Maybe in a way that the Reapers were trying to take control of him or something. Then he regains consciousness and we get to finish the fight afterall through DLC lol

There's nothing wrong with the Yahg though. Hackett tells you that the reapers are not attacking their world when you ask about the other races in his conversation wheel (probably because they don't have the technology to build AI).

The videos in the IM's base also seems to imply that it's not the real Shepard.

A bit late, I know, but if you bring Liara after Shepard brings up doubting that he/she is the real Shepard, maybe a VI etc... Liara says that "she knew it was the real you the first time she touched you"

That could be an LI only line, but could also refer to meeting her on Ilium.

This hit me too. ME1 had every class as a squadmate, ME2 had variety at least, ME3 has two soldiers(Ash)/one soldier and one sentinel (Kaidan), two engineers, an infiltrator, and a semi-vanguard adept in Javik if you get him.

Which is odd considering how good biotics are, and that so few of the enemies have shields now, which means your biotics are actually effective, unlike ME2. I guess Bioware put it down to players picking their favorites at this late in the trilogy, unlike ME1 or ME2.

The Omega mission seems most probable. As far as I know after you help Aria she repeats the same line over and over for the rest of the game, meaning she never went to take back Omega.

I think the worst thing Shepard can do is pick Michel over Chakwas.

I know. I was thinking more along the lines of "use something established in the universe, that we have assets for".

I'm trying to do that in this second playthrough. I've already told Chakwas to stay in the lab. But now Michel won't choose to come with yet. I guess I need more Paragon/Renegade points.

In the leaked script from the November build, there was a mission on Omega and it was where you were supposed to meet Zaeed. He was working with Cerberus and helping them take Omega. Seems like they changed Zaeed's role and cut that mission.

As it is Zaeed seems really buggy. His dialogue after he goes to the Docks is really random. Compared to Kasumi, it's pretty half-assed, which makes me sad because he's so great in ME2.

So what are the major changes from that original leaked script and the actual ME3?

So yeah that seems all but confirmed to be DLC to me.

I'd say shooting Mordin would be tops. I watched that scene on YouTube and was shocked. If Wrex is alive, it becomes even worse since you have to kill him on the Citadel.

The whole thing with Samara ranks second in my opinion. You can let her commit suicide and then put a bullet in her last daughter.

Huh, you can't? I picked Chakwas in my playthrough, but I assumed Michel was there as an option as well.

Not saying you can't. Michel is still in the hospital, and she worded it like "i don't know, I'll think about it"

I'm still early on this playthrough. Just had opened up the Normandy. But Chakwas was gone from the hospital.

I bet if I replayed my ME2 character again, I could get Michel right off the bat.

Samara went this way for me: She's about to cap herself, but I paragon in behind her, and stop her. The surviving daughter will stay on the planet, alone. Samara agrees, and lives. The Ends.

Kasumi was bugged for me. I could never complete her quest. I couldn't click on the second terminal even though it appeared on my map. The cursor actually targets the door behind the terminal in the security station in the dock area.

The final mission made much more sense in the leaked script. When you run towards the beam the Normandy is supposed to assist you and attack Harbinger and this never happens in the retail code. Instead, harbinger is out of commision/inactive for some reason after you wake up and your party members are gone for no reason.

Might be me, but I see Harbinger lift up and fly off, as I Wake up in front of the beam.

Just finished it. I picked the
destroy ending
, I need to collect my thoughts but first impressions, it's bad.

There are so many things I didn't like about it, at least the rest of the game up to that very moment was amazing.

BTW, did anyone else notice that Reapers would show up on the galactic map on spots where there weren't clusters? Possible DLC points?

Late to the party, but just finished the game.
I must have been tired yesterday when I beat the game, because the kid told me the entire reason the Reapers exist was to prevent synthetics from killing organics.
So in order to prevent organics from making synthetics like the Geth from attacking them, they go out & kill all advanced life in the entire galaxy!?!

WAS THAT SERIOUSLY THE STORY?

The story was all just a story.

SO FUCKING META.

I'd also love to know the difference between the finished and Leaked script

There's many :lol .For instance, In the original leak the catalyst is supposed to be on eden prime. Ashley/Kaidan have a partner you kill to get the catalyst and they confront you with Kai Leng about that.

Some of the stuff is the same though. The genophage plot and the geth plot is the same.

Fucking depressing though:
Shepard dies, Mass Relays destroyed, geth destroyed, Normandy crashes on jungle planet with my LI, not enough closure with characters and one shitty epilogue.
Sigh. I think they made a mistake with that ending. I'll try the other two later, I'm going to play some BF3 to cheer myself up.
