Mass Effect 3 SPOILER THREAD: LOTS OF SPECULATION FROM EVERYONE

Just do all the quests (which are easy to do) and play 3-4 games of multi to get your readiness to 70%, and 4000 is assured.
Some do not want or can't play multiplayer (for example those that don't pay for Xbox live). When Bioware finally revealed that ME 3 would have multiplayer they stated several times that it would NOT affect single player. Well I guess we can chalk that up to yet another Bioware statement that is nothing but a lie.

This is interesting -
@BioEvilChris During the final run, just before the end, are the two squadmates with you killed? I understand if you can't answer.

@KenRaves I don't think we've revealed that yet. Sorry.

Couple that with the tweets of other bioware staff saying please hold onto the game. There must be more coming.

It's kind of amusing...to see them begging their fans to hold on to their games...

Same solution to everything in Mass Effect: have hot sweaty alien sex.

Exactly.

And well, EDI got nuked, so no robot sex for him.

It's pretty humorous that, ultimately, I always ended up doing the 'Renegade' ending during my first playthrough, no matter how much of a Paragon I was. I sacrificed the Council during my first ME1 game as a Soldier (which is a save that got lost when I got a new Xbox), saved the Collector Base during my first ME2 playthrough and now I destroyed every synthetic. And every single time, I did what seemed right at first glance. It's only afterwards that I start leaning more towards the other options.

Except now, though. Part of me's still convinced Destroy's the best ending.

I didn't and I did all the quests in the game, save for one or two I couldn't complete because Cerberus invaded and Barla Von glitched. I ended up with 3555 or something.

The system's really shoddy, you'll be getting quests before the appropriate systems are even unlocked. And if you're unlucky, you won't be able to complete them either because Cerberus decides it wants the Citadel, greedy fuckers.

The only way to get above 4000 effective readiness is to play multiplayer or do a NG+ and Import your completed Shepard into the new scenario. Old Shep apparently gives a LOT of War assets points.

The wording of that is pretty favorable to a DLC ending, or something that they didn't want spoilered for anyone. How do you not reveal something when the game has supposedly already ended?

Supposedly there was a something from Bioware on the BSN saying they'd talk about things on Tuesday (when ME3 is released in Japan). I can't find it tho, so take it with a massive grain of salt.

It's always Joker and your LI, and then either a random squadmate from the end or EDI, depending on if you picked Destroy or not.

It was Liara for me, and she looked awfully happy for someone who just lost her love interest and any chance of getting back to asari space.

To be fair many of the missions in the game were very poor from a design perspective. All of the protect X spot or protect teammate who is hacking the computer were pretty bad. Fight waves of monsters until you can progress.

The last fight in the game was super easy for my team Adept Shepard/Kaidan/EDI but the battle was poorly designed. Eventually the new ones that spawn are invincible and you must run for the missile control anyway.

Where were all the races I recruited? You're basically alone on the field except from a mako slowing making its way through. Outside of the base you don't see any Krogans, Alliance Soldiers, Turians, Asari, Salarians, Quarians or Geths.

Oh fuck.

They are going to sell the ending as DLC.

Motherfuckers.

At E3 this year

One thing that baffles me is why all the disc swapping at the beginning. The game is clearly divided into two sections (before and after the genophage cure on Tuchunka). Why couldn't they have split the game that way?

I don't get this either.

I always feel trolled in ME2, and now ME3, when I get to the last mission and need to put disc 1 back in my Xbox.

I played on insanity and with the help of ashley and james, it was a breeze except for some parts. And that was only because I forgot I can equip a shotgun lol. Only died twice during the earth missions.

Didn't think of that. I guess it's your LI if they're a squadmate, or else a random squadmember? Guessing you brought Javik at the end?

I brought Kaidan and EDI to the beam and in the ending I got Joker, Kaidan and EDI.

Either it's a glitch or they magically teleported to the Normandy.

You can do that? Interesting.

I'm gonna have to do a real "canon" playthrough soon, then.

LOL: "Hadn't revealed that yet"

Oy.....

I did notice, on my 2nd playthrough that I started, the war asset marker was almost completely full, like it carried over from my 1st playthrough (a ME2 continuation). But since it's a new character, I started at Level 1.

So what weird bugs did people run into?
I almost always had the monitors in Liara's room flip out and rotate 360 degress when I rotated (instead of just the partial rotation they should do) and one AMAZING bug that had me almost choke with laughter.
During the Garrus and Vega one upping conversationg I stood a bit infront and between them and pointed Shep to the camera and his head still tried to turn to the people talking (like trying to look behind him at them but not fully). Then I started tapping the key to start moving left (you know how it's like a slight delay before he breaks off and runs that way?) and his head started FREAKING OUT. His head was rotating around and around and around as they talked. So funny.

Really? That seems like a really strange decision, especially with the inclusion of "story-mode" for players who don't really enjoy the combat.

So basically, "story-mode" players are screwed out of Shep lives ending? Or can you do story mode on higher difficulties?

Same here except it was Garrus and Liara who I took on ALL my missions if possible. Maybe it is random. Personally it would have been nice to see all my squadmates (including the teleporting ones) in the ending just to see how well I did with my relationships. My LI was Miranda. I know I know but I love Sarah from Chuck...I am weak. If I had the option I would go gay for Garrus in a heartbeat.

I brought Kaiden and Garrus. Love interest was the Comms officer. The Synth end was Joker, EDI, and the Comms Officer. The other 2 were Joker, Comms, and Garrus (who should be vaporized! Or at least "How'd he get on the ship!")

I am starting to think that the ending "DLC" is going to be of expansion like quality. I'm still pissed about that ambiguous ending but I'd be happy if they expand the end part and add in ship combat with the Normandy, take part in this huge scale war (we did play as Joker before) and actually fight Harbinger because what the hell was the point of that build up from ME2? Do that and edit the ending to include an epilogue of the war based from your choices.

I got the head turning one talking to Liara once. Shep had turned her head to talk to Glyph, and then didn't turn back. It almost turned into the Exorcist at one point. The funniest part was that later on in the conversation, Liara also got stuck staring at Glyph, so you have Liara and Shepard talking to one another with neither looking at the other.

I also had the quick flash screen of Earth before the title screen mess up a few times, the camera focus on nothing either to the side or above the talking character a few times, and Shepard randomly flashing into different poses a bunch of times.

Because your EMS wasn't high enough

Also, you need to pick Destroy.

Grunt ....
HOW DARE YOU!

Grunt was my least favorite character in the series until Kai Leng came around.

The funniest one I encountered happened last night. I was on Mars talking to The Illusive Man. An audio bug reared its head and he was silent for a line or two. He just made some arm movements and then smoked his cigarette.

Guys, I know some of you have already dismissed this theory, but this guy has just opened my eyes. If true, it makes so much more sense, and it's a genius call on BioWare's part.

We haven't even reached the fucking end yet.

Proof endings were 'indoctrinations/visions/dreams'.

Main points:

- Shepard is in space at the end (when talking to Space-Casper)
- The 'control the Reapers' choice is depicted as the 'Paragon' option
- If the 'destroy' option is chosen, the kid vanishes instantly (perhaps breaking indoctrination?), and then this leads to the bonus clip at the end of Shepard breathing.
- The 'breathing' segment obviously takes place on Earth.

Fuck.

Lol. The kid vanishes instantly because it's the central reaper AI, obviously.

I'd also love to know the difference between the finished and Leaked script
Not much. The ending was changed a bit because of the leak.

Late to the party, but just finished the game.
I must have been tired yesterday when I beat the game, because the kid told me the entire reason the Reapers exist was to prevent synthetics from killing organics.
So in order to prevent organics from making synthetics like the Geth from attacking them, they go out & kill all advanced life in the entire galaxy!?!

WAS THAT SERIOUSLY THE STORY?

Yep. They kill off everyone who made the AI and spare the younger races. They're basically preventing the older races from making something that wipes out everything in the galaxy. Yes it's retarded.

Yeah, that woman who arrested that batarian terrorist, first she was really short and Shepard was looking down at her, then she was really tall (off the camera) and Shepard was looking up at her. XD

Oh yeah, also had LOADS of instances of characters magically being missing.
Like in one cut scene/dialouge bit Garrus was saying something so it cut to where he should be but he wasn't there, or in the Cerb base the VI was like, just off camera so when (I assume) it was supposed to show him you could just see a bit of his glitchy hologram to the right part of the screen.

Really? That seems like a really strange decision, especially with the inclusion of "story-mode" for players who don't really enjoy the combat.

We're not totally sure but the decisions we made are the same and he has alot less than I do. Difference being he played on normal and I on hardcore. I'm waiting for him to give me his exact numbers.

EDIT: It's not difficulty but there definitely is something that factors in to the Quarian assets which would seem to give you 200 more for each fleet...

Ending needed more space vaginas. Final sequence of Shepard choking Tali on the shores of Rannoch.

The funniest one I encountered happened last night. I was on Mars talking to The Illusive Man. An audio bug reared its head and he was silent for a line or two. He just made some arm movements and then smoked his cigarette.

The final speech with the Illusive Man, everytime the camera panned to Shepard he would fall through the geometry, like he was standing on a trap door.

Illusive Man - We can control the reapers!
Shepard - Weeee!
Illusive Man - Join us!
Shepard - Here I go again!

I tried to play ME2 again to finish my full renegade file and I just can't do it.... I don't believe it's because of the ending to ME3 but the gameplay differences..,

I talked to an invisible person.

Also, Shep gives Tali a rock on her planet, but it becomes invisible.

Same rock disappeared, and some assassin sitting in the C-Sec office was completely invisible the entire convo with him. There were one or two other instances where the camera would switch and a character wouldnt be there until after it switched back again.
