Soo... can we all agree that the writing has taken a massive turn in the last five episodes or so? Not that it's perfect or anything, but you can tell that the new room is trying to fix the mess left by the previous team, as Yager put it.

I agree 100%. Also: the group chose Rick as a leader, almost instantly. Ricks unwavering commitment to saving people meant that they gave him the crown, because if they were in a tight spot they knew they could trust that Rick would do everything for them. Love it or hate it, it beats the Shane method of shoot-u-in-the-leg-unless-you're-lori-or-carl-when-the-shit-hits-the-fan.

In the episode before last, Hershel finally relented to Rick's leadership when Dale asked him to to weigh in on Randall's fate.

"I leave it to Rick. I don't want to know."

That was big.

The only person Shane has murdered was Otis.

And Randall, who may have been a "threat" but Shane killed him in cold blood even when Rick and Hershel ordered him not to.

And Otis was murdered only to save his own ass. Shane was selfish and prickish and wanted Rick gone to get to Lori and the kid. Again: Selfish.

Leadership under him wouldn't have lasted long since Shane would put himself above others. Hell, he may have thrown Lori and the kid under a metaphorical bus the next time they pissed him off.

Yeah it was very noticeable. I'm really enjoying it again.

I've high hopes for season 3 now. More money, bigger story. It could be awesome.

EDIT: Don't forget nearly killing rick in Season 1. He had him in his sights and Dale caught him. I think Shane really started to lose it after he lost Lori.

Exactly.

It's almost certain had someone like glen or t dawg fallen on that spike in town that Shane's reaction would have been to either shoot him, use them for bait for his escape or most likely just leave him for dead.

There's comfort in knowing that your leader is not only a badass but that he has your back. That earns you respect. Even if I think hm attempting to risk the group in an effort to save a a random stranger was probably the wrong call IMO.

Hey Force, can you dispute the 3 most necessary kills this season were carried out by Super Rick, without much hesitation?

1) Sophia
2) Dave and Tony
3) Sinister Shane

WTF they were that far close to the house when they did that stand off?

I think the preview may be misleading in the way it was edited. Carl just happens to wander around.

Like, a lot.

I'd like to nominate Lori for Mother of the Year.

Dunno about that.

Zombies vs time/polar bears/chosen ones/the others/island/dorma/jacob/man in black and other retarded ass shit....yeah

zombies = island.

but the fact that the island expanded into other retarded shit made the whole show just overall terrible. Season 1 of lost was stuff of tv history. 2 was up there too, apart from the season 4 finale. the later eps efter season 2 was fucktarded.

Shane should be remebered via a statue for putting up with Lori and Carl. There is Carl running off in the middle of the night like the idiot that he is. Love when Shane asked him why does he keep on trying to get himself killed. Dumb runs in that family.

Give Lori a break, guys. She's too preoccupied with washing dishes and doing the laundry. In the zombie apocalypse, these things just require more time and attention.

Lol, Team Shane. Guy was a psycho. Like what has he done that hasn't caused tons of shit and drama? Does anyone really think he would go through all the trouble freeing the prisoner, killing him in the woods, smashing his head into a tree, organizing a search party that happens to get him and Rick on the same team, while everyone else goes inside or is led off path by him, then aiming a gun at rick so that Rick would kill him and he would be free of this life because Lori doesn't love him?

This man must be a genius. Can't believe I doubted the guy who'd try to lock himself in a bus when a horde of zombies show up.

Rick is the big bad Sheriff. He has no one to blame but himself.

All I know is Super Rick didn't skip town and leave Sinister Shane behind to deal with the zombies and die.

Even after a 'They Live' style throw down in the yard and having to George Bush evade a flying wrench.

Most friends would have bolted at the first sign of trouble. Shane did the best he could for Rick before leaving. It was because of Shane that Rick even survived. Shane was a better friend to Rick than Rick was to Shane.

Yeah.

Just like he did for good ole Otis.

Shane let the only guitar player in the group die.

:(

Shane started insta-banging Rick's wife. If Rick were Shane, he would have put Shane down even earlier. He gave Shane every chance possible.

This reminds me that the show needs more fat zombies.

How the fuck zombie apocalyse descends upon Atlanta and there are not tons dead fatsos waltzing around?

I assume that when zombies encounter fat people they make a feast of it. Crowding around it and ripping off limbs and generally not leaving much of anything to even turn into a zombie.

Random thoughts that may have been covered here already:

1) If they were gonna keep Randall, they should have given his ass the grunt work that Glenn used to have to do. Zombie bait, lowered down wells, etc. Work your way off the bench and into the rotation.

2) How is it Carl went from being unable to hold the gun steady on a Walker stuck in mud to being able to perfect headshot Zombie Sinister Shane? What kinda ramp up on shooting is that?!?!

Stupid kid playing with a "safe" zombie vs. Saving his dad's life from his zombie best friend. Had to do some growing up, instantly.
