So when's Merle coming back? HMMMMM??
I hope never. Shane was far more interesting as a character to me. He should have died on that rooftop.

Epic episode! So I'm assuming the whole turning without getting bitten has to do with what Jenner whispered to Rick at the CDC. The thing that bothered me was how quickly Randell and Shane turned. Also Rick and Shane walked and walked and ended up in front of the farmhouse? WTF? And of course Carl was out wandering around alone after dark. Rick and Lori, best parents during the apocalypse. Lori needs to double up on Carl's homework.
Also all the violent images flashing during Shane's "death" made me think there must be some sort of zombie hivemind. That's how the horde converged on their location. I'm just guessing. Anyway, one of the better episodes of the series imo.
That's as big a what if as anything I said.
edit: you know what, this isn't going to go anywhere. I'll agree to disagree and leave it at that.
lol, forgot that even happened.
What? I didn't know there was a new team, but I was thinking to myself that the dialog and melodrama in the last 3 or so episodes has gotten much cornier...Soo... can we all agree that the writing has taken a massive turn in the last five episodes or so? Not that it's perfect or anything, but you can tell that the new room is trying to fix the mess left by the previous team, as Yager put it.
I like how Daryl and Rick are slowly becoming BFF's. Developing a Rick/Daryl leadership would be one of the smartest things the writers can do for this show.
S Rank episode
Can't wait for next week.
Indeed, he's the best candidate to be 2nd in command now. Then they'll probably strain the relationship by bringing the psycho brother back. Some good developments coming in this show I feel.I like how Daryl and Rick are slowly becoming BFF's. What's an S rank?
I didn't even notice the hammer the first time.
T-Dog is Tyrese, bros.
If Dale wasn't dicking around on the RV and spotted the large herd heading their way, Sophie wouldn't have ran into the woods, and none of what you wrote would have happened. If Carl kept his ass inside the house and didn't run in on Rick about to kill Randal, Shane would still be alive because he wouln't of had to take him into the forest.
If Carl didnt give a shit about that stupid Deer, he would've never have gotten shot, thus Otis would still be alive.
AND he's responsible for Dales death too. Kid is the Devils son.
If the zombie apocalypse didn't happen, we wouldn't have a show.

And if we didn't have the show, then this thread wouldn't exist! :O
Why was Carl even in that field? Okay, they showed him looking out the window but I don't think that's good enough. Does he just walk out the door and no one notices?
Other than that I thought it was a really good episode.
If Sophia stayed put like Rick said none of this would have happened either. Rick wouldve found her in the same place he left her and they would have went along their way.
Lol. But what would they have done even if Dale had seen the swarm coming anways. Theyd still have to just hide it out, the highway was jammed and RV busted.

Thateveryone is already infected and by living, they are just delaying the inevitable turn by continuing to fight on living, thereby making them 'The Walking Dead'.

stupid asian kid refused to go up to the hot chick's room.
he used to be my favorite character, now hes a lame woosie![]()
Jennar at the CDC said people change at different times last season. And yeah, the fact that Randall and Shane turned so quickly without apparently touching any walkers suggests that the virus is always dormant inside the living. But hold on a second, last season the convoy all the main characters traveled in was attacked by a swarm of walkers at night which killed a few of the characters including Sophia's dad. Her dad's brain wasn't destroyed until the following morning though. So either that's just a plot hole the writers can't go back in time to tie up or Rick was sitting on top of Shane's body for several hours. Either/or. I'm leaning towards Either.
Poor Lori. She can't keep an eye on her insolent child 24/7, she's been busy during the whole apocalypse having feelings!
so i was on the can and thinking about the show and how to get rid of the biggest problems at camp... lori and carl. i figure that now that everyone is a potential zombie i really want lori to fall down some stairs while pregnant causing the baby to die and zombie its way out of her. in turn she will become a zombie, eat carl and rick will have to put them all down. many high fives will be given at camp that night.
That reminds me... The highway scene with all the corpses chilling in the driver's seat makes even less sense now. Why weren't they zombified? Did all 300 of them suffer a fatal head wound from being stuck in traffic? And yeah, the fact that Randall and Shane turned so quickly without apparently touching any walkers suggests that the virus is always dormant inside the living. Also, she needs some extra time to pester other women about "knowing their place" and "doing women's work."That's not fair, she also has to do her womanly duties like cooking and washing clothes while the men are taking care of Zombie Business. She knows her place.
...Seriously, these writers...

Also, I thought Shane had been scarred by the walkers during the Otis thing (remember the shower scene?). Couldn't it be the virus was just dormant? Does it mean he could have infected Rick during their fight? I don't know, these people bleed for anything.
There is also another question: if Shane wasn't lying and Rick was dead, is he a walker now?
That reminds me... The highway scene with all the corpses chilling in the driver's seat makes even less sense now. Why weren't they zombified? Did all 300 of them suffer a fatal head wound from being stuck in traffic?
Yeah, I've noticed most of the women just hang around the house cooking or "gathering".
I find Andrea quite refreshing in comparison.
Lori's unborn child will carry the cure for the zombie virus
So it seems that Shane's demise completely overshadowed the continued poor plotting of the show. I do agree it was quite preposterous for Carl to have found them in that field by himself and then made a perfect shot in the dark. But you know what, let's just overlook that because he had to redeem himself for not killing the walker that got Dale. Such a great character development!![]()
also.
seeing how this isn't um, that 28 days later and zombies actually shamble in this (as opposed to being able to run) ... I honestly don't know how sophie/rick couldn't just outrun the motherfuckers.
Haven't they ever heard of sprinting?
