Stop saying great trade for CHI. There are 30 other teams who could have made a trade for him, and obviously didn't value him any higher. He has a rep for a being a total asshole, and if anything, it would make MIA more attractive for Peyton

Bears had what at WR? Marshal is an upgrade for a medium price. It's a great trade.

Why do you think he ended up in Chicago?

30 other teams don't have Cutler as their QB. It's a large element to the trade, the two wanted to play with each other again.

Only 2 3rd rounders? wtf

Yeah, and only 1 of them apparently is 2012 (probably Carolina's?). The other is next year's. So the Bears still have all their picks this year. Basically, you can say they got Brandon Marshall for Greg Olsen and some 2013 pick.

Decent trade for Chicago.

Meachem a Bill.

Actually like it, if cheap.

Edit: May be just speculation, why do people tweet something and then change their shit. FUCK OFF!

So it's not even two 3rds in 2012? Who knew elite WRs came so cheap? The Rams should call DET and offer second round picks in 2018 and 2019 for Megatron

The Bears clearly have one goal here: Giving the NFC North both wildcard playoff teams.

shouldn't Lovie and Julius be meeting with Mario right now? where's my announcement.

He's actually in Buffalo tonight according to Schefter.

A guy on TwoBills drive posted he'd be in Buffalo this morning. We all ridiculed him, guy was legit or lucky as fuck.

Sorry we're not like the saintly city of Detroit!

I like the pickup for the bears. Not a huge B Marsh fan, but getting Cutler his old buddy, don't have to get in on Jackson, and instantly upgrade the WR corps while departing with two thirds, leaving the bears with 3 earlier picks as is, sounds good to me.

I agree with Marshall Faulk saying on the NFL Network this trade is to bring in Peyton Manning. Faulk knows Manning, having played with him in Indy. Doesn't mean he's right here (or that I am). But there's clearly something big behind trading Marshall, because the Dolphins got crushed in the trade. Two third-round picks for a guy who has cap-friendly contracts for Chicago? Why do that unless there's something bigger to it? Stay tuned.

Maybe?

Oh shi-

Mario Williams coming to Buffalo tonight. Bills also heavily scouting Robert Meachem.

Cowboys. Perfect fit.

Mario... to Buffalo? Well so much for not caring about the money.
How much can he get paid there?
Realistically, all teams have the money ... it's a question of cap space and the Bills should be okay there.

I think it might be true. no way the Saints sign Colston and can afford to keep Meach. Meach is a pretty cool cat. He doesn't cause any trouble either. He would be an excellent pickup for the Bills as a deep threat.

would've happened this year w/out the unfortunate cutler injury. nobody will give the bears any credit, but we were really hitting on all cylinders at 7-3 when cutler went down. such a shame hanie couldn't even play average or slightly below average. fucker was abysmal.

(Stumbles in) Wait, what? Marshall to the Bears? Do the Bears even have a pass-friendly offense these days, or is it just Cutler taking 10 sacks a game?

True on all accounts.
