Doesn't he say, "Wake up" if your EMS is high enough?

that's what I assumed at first, but then some people started saying a certain criteria had to be met in ME2 in order for the "Wake Up" thing.

I didn't meet those, so i thought it must be related to the EMS (mine was high iirc).

But yeah I still don't get the motive behind having that "ending" vs the other one where he's a dick.

Apologies if this has been posted before

James Edinboro is our hero.

Probably already brought up, but the ending...that's it?!

I picked destroying the Reapers, and all I see is them getting wiped, Joker flying the Normandy to its doom, and it surviving and the post-credits scene. I was waiting for more, like what happened to the rest of the crew, other planets, etc.

I heard about the disappointing ending, but having experienced it now really hits me. I'm not even mad, just really disappointed like hell.

So I shot The Illusive Man after he shot Anderson when the renegade option popped up. What happens if I left it alone? TIM say anything more?

It's funny you say that...since that show also had a shitty ass ending.

Mostly because a lot of people couldn't handle the religious stuff at the end. It could have done without the patronizing "modern day" extra ending, but it actually did a reasonable job of rapping things up while still leaving some questions unanswered.

You could say that, yes.

I was just listening to Games Dammit podcast (ME3 spoiler filler discussion), and all the permutations this game has sounded pretty awesome. Of course most of all doesn't affect the ending, but still. For example, I didn't know Samara could die in this game and turn into a Banshee later, or Jack into one of those crazy Cerberus ninjas.

You mean Morinth here.

Samara can still die due to attempted suicide

I don't know why I don't like the ending. I mean, normally I fap to fucked up ending like "The End of Evangelion" but this one is just too stupid and meh to fap to.

Funny you brought up Evangelion. Only hit me now that The Illusive Man's room/office reminds me of Gendo's in the show.

I never noticed that either. Gendo's also a bit of an Illusive Man, and he's almost like a weird father figure for Shep.

NO FATHER I WON'T DO IT!

For those saying that the tweets are all PR bs, take a look at these:

The winking, certainly doesn't help...

Not sure if you already knew, but here is information regarding the statue.
Does that make any sense? How could the Citadel have a back door to Ilos without the Reapers knowledge? I know they had indoctrinated Protheans and that it was highly classified, but with the Citadel being the central control hub (?) for the Reapers, it doesn't make much sense.

But they did know, thats why they sent Saren after it.

The Keepers were disconnected, any remote power over the citadel they had was gone. I'm assuming the plot hole of the catalyst always being on the citadel is that it doesn't interfere or is dormant most of the time.

There were Protheans that waited in stasis until the reapers left, then went to the citadel and sabotaged a lot of the reaper stuff, and then starved to death for some reason. So they never became collectors.

The Reapers knew, but the Protheans disconnected the Keepers from the Reapers' signals. So they had to send in Saren through the conduit to manually turn over control.

Reading the leaked script, I think it's for the best that Javik didn't end up becoming the catalyst. The VI was quick to mention that it was the combined efforts of races from all cycles, and a prothean being the missing piece would kind of cheapen it for me.

It was never a theme that solely defined ME's universe until the Catalyst brought it up as the Reapers' sole purpose. (Hell, it even allows you to completely subvert the theme by bringing peace to the Quarians and Geth, as well as EDI's development).

Mass Effect is pretty unique for a space opera universe where people are paranoid about A.I. and already prohibit it in the beginning.
