Mass Effect 3 SPOILER THREAD: LOTS OF SPECULATION FROM EVERYONE

Say, Bioware decides to announce a new Ending DLC for Free at PAX.

Is all forgiven?

I think it's a shame that all this Mac Walters nonsense is sweeping up the attention of what otherwise is a truly great game.

Oh well.
A sell of a skunk is never forgotten

NEVER

So, read page 205, I wouldn't even mind not knowing their origin, but they had the space kid in anyway, so you should have an investigate option. It's just stupid to think Shepard wouldn't want to question him more.

I've missed out on this 'Lots of speculation from everyone...thing' and this 'Truth' DLC. Any place I can catch up on what's going on?

LOTS OF SPECULATION FROM EVERYONE - the very last line written on a sheet of notebook paper that discusses the outline for the ending of Mass Effect 3. This was taken from the iOS app "The Final Hours of Mass Effect 3" ($2.99)

"The Truth" DLC - just ignore this piece of 4chan garbage.

this was me yesterday, albeit a bit more positive in the first panel

Can I buy your garrus pillow

I like how they handled basically every character except Morinth. Having her write some random ass emails and then seeing her pop up as a Banshee in a random ass enemy wave was a bit disrespectful. Also would have liked it if some of the characters from ME2 were at least semi in your party like Anderson at the beginning of the game.

Oh my. Best voice acting ever.

Are you retarded? It's how games are made, it's a robot voice for a reason. All dialogue starts out this way so they can plan out and not invest resources into something they are still testing with.

Talk about a dumb comment.

How are we supposed the speculate if they lock down the forums?

Not that I would risk my Origin account by saying what I'm really thinking over there....

So that's that then. Amazing how they could botch it so badly. But but but they had the entire trilogy planned out from the beginning! And here this guy is scribbling notes on how to end the game. lol

So where does this event rank in the hierarchy of video game rage?

It depends what happens when this is all over. It seems like every day it gets a little worse as more details come out.

If they actually release a much better ending via DLC it'll probably end up being #1 on the list, because it'll be the only fan induced mass-raging that actually accomplished something.

Seeing that the writer actually tried to get the worst ending possible I'd say he did his job spectacularly. I was going to say they couldn't have come up with a worse ending even if they tried but, well, they did try and this was it.

I've honestly have never seen anything like it.

Closest I can think of was FFXIII on the 360, but that was a console wars meltdown. I've never seen a reaction to a game's ending like this.

What's strange about this is that there is mostly mass (heh) consensus here.

Don't get me wrong, a lot of people like or are fine with the ending and they are perfectly within their rights to be so, but I'd say the vast, vast majority sees it as terrible.

Jesus Christ, you mad bro?

At least the line "a lot of debate" indicates that *some* people at Bioware didn't like the ending. I would have liked to see how the last months of development must have been for the ones disagreeing with the scribbled notepad ending for a multi-million franchise.

Nope, what's done is done and nothing is going to make me forget that.

This we can agree on, but Walters definitely deserves some ridicule so I can't say I'm surprised the BSN has been partially locked down.

You'd think people would pick up that it was obviously deleted very early in the process hence why it is missing everything from the VA, music, and sound effects. That said I can see why it was deleted. That random SAVE US line was just awkward.

What if he didn't know that?

Cool off, man

Please keep your anger at Bioware and relax.

I'm not angry with Bioware, I really enjoyed my ride with ME3 and I don't regret playing it.

Do I wish the ending was different? Absolutely. But the moments I spent with this series during this generation are some of my favorite gaming memories ever. Period.

Why would I shit on them for that?

I'm fine with criticisms of the games, but when people here start launching personal attacks at the hardworking folks at Bioware, I'm not okay with it. Have some damn respect, just because you are anonymous on the internet doesn't give you the right to act like a child.
