Oh yeah, I forgot Schneider is there. Still, the guy who worked closely with him everyday didnt apparently push for it. That's the only thing that makes me apprehensive about Flynns future. Otherwise I would be fairly high on him.
Yeah, I see where you're coming from, but for all we know the front office overruled Philbin or whatever his name is. We'll see, I guess.

sorry ph33nix

http://49ers.pressdemocrat.com/2012...-willing-to-be-niners-backup-plan-to-manning/

It only took Alex Smith a few hours to get over his anger at the Niners for pursuing Peyton Manning, apparently.

According to Jason Cole, Smith will not sign with the Dolphins unless the Niners sign Manning. Even if the Dolphins offer more than the Niners, Smith wants to be in California. In other words, he wants to swallow his pride and win.

Now, Smith has to wait like the rest of us for Manning to make up his mind.

Bostonians (not sure if there are any, Pats fans seem to be from all over the world, I'm looking at you Milchjon and Dutch):

What is the easiest way to get from Boston to NYC? Train, plane or just drive? Plane sounds a bit overkill to me. Trains I heard suck (didn't you lot play Railroad Tycoon in the US?).

I'm a good driver and will have a rental, am not in a hurry, but not sure if I should subject myself to NYC traffic. Going to somewhere central, still deciding on a hotel. If you have tips, please PM me, thanks.

Chinatown Bus. No joke.

So Alex is willing to be a backup which surely would make his salary way less than 3 year 28 which he ws bitching at.. the sense it makes none.

I played the fuck out of Railroad Tycoon 2 on PS1. Couldn't get into the ones I played on PC

Man nobody wants to play QB for the Dolphins and Browns. Watch this come down to the 2 of them fighting over Gerrard.

The difference between the other team you listed is that Miami is actually a GOOD TEAM. They lead by at least two or more possessions in the first half, but fail so hard in the second. Just look at the New England game last season.

If they are what you say here, then Moore certainly gets some of the credit. He was not the worst QB last year by any stretch.

I can't imagine Tebow going to Miami or NE, I don't see it happening. No trade value and if he's traded for nothing I'm sure people would be pretty upset. I think Elway is going to have to ride this one out if he doesn't land Manning.

The guy who's been walked over threatens to leave then slinks back completely unprovoked.

What. A. Pussy.

Edit - Battered Person Syndrome. More PC...

I feel the same way :(

i feel like if we don't get peyton we need to up our offer for alex. maybe that is bad for business but jesus christ we've kicked this motherfucker around for 7 years and he still comes crawling back. it'll be like all those times the eagles had to give mcribb some extra money for talking bout trades!

If Smith gets more money out of this he played his cards right. Better than just sitting there hoping for the best. Good for him.

Might as well keep Matt Moore. Be smart in drafting new recruit, and build up a better OL for pass protection so Moore can do his thing. But now we already lost a good receiver.

EDIT-Either that, or draft Tannehill or Weeden.

Moore went 6-3 when he became the new starter. He's not THAT bad by any means.

I would argue that Smith would barely be an upgrade. I don't see why they would want to pay Alex, when they have a similar guy at a cheaper price. He might not be the franchise guy, but neither is Smith at this point.
