NFL Off-Season Thread: "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?"

An unfortunate side effect though is I think Tebow's days may be over as a Bronco, which is a bit of a shame. I kind of liked a few things that he could do (if he was able to stop fumbling the ball).
As much as I like Tim Tebow, he was never going to get anywhere in a Denver Broncos uniform. From all the shit that was coming out during the offseason it was quite clear they wanted nothing to do with him. The only person who believed in him was fired two years ago. Now he gets the opportunity to go to an organization that would actually work with him.

49ers and Alex Smith trust now.

Arthur is still a funny show to this day. Love that one episode where Art Garfunkel is a moose and sings about Buster.

Wow, shocked he picked the broncos. They don't strike me as competing for a superbowl, even with him.
The addition of Manning shifts the power in that (shitty as hell) division pretty heavily in their favor. No Super Bowl guarantee nonsense, but with Manning the Broncos will likely be a perennial playoff team while he's the QB. i.e. plenty of opportunity to make it back to the big game.

You could argue the Niners or Titans were a better fit but as mentioned, Harbaugh isn't going to let Manning walk in and run his offense and the Titans have a much better Texans team to contend with in that division. The choice makes sense.

LOL at the teams that fucked up their chemistry and alienated their QB's for Noodle Neck.

I'm even happier that the Skins pulled the trigger on who they really wanted, instead of waiting around.

And... Will people villanize Peyton/Broncos for this? For screwing over Tebow...? I think so. I hope this whole thing falls apart. I cannot wait!!

Even after being cuckolded on a national stage Alex would really rather go back to SF than play MIA? What the fuck, is Jeff Ireland's first question to everybody he meets "So, is your mother a whore?"

The Broncos offensive line is actually really good. Most of Tebow's sacks last year that he took were when he was running around int he pocket. The line couldn't keep up with all of his movement. They were built for a drop back passer (which is why Orton both last year and the year before) really didn't take too many sacks.

Well let's not get crazy yet. They still have "ok" at best receivers and lost Royal and their TEs are pretty terrible. But yeah they improved a lot just by ditching Tebow.

Not saying they are a favorite to win it by any means, but I think they have a good chance of making it out of a down AFC.

Is it my turn to pick yet?

Oh and congrats Broncos on the Manning signing. I guess now I have to prepare myself for Tebow now *sighs

I have the weirdest Tebowner right now.

I wonder where Tebow goes. He's almost a coach killer. No one wants to play him but the locals all adore him. I think Denver is stuck with him.

edit: As far as I've seen, the following picks have been made

1 Colts-Luck
2 Skings-RGIII
3 Vikes-Kalil

Browns on the clock

Laughable. Insane and laughable at the same time.

San Fran fucking up chemistry with Alex Smith? Or the Titans with an aging Hasselbald? Please. Both teams were right to be in the mix.

Would you have villainized Tennessee if they signed Peyton? They have a young QB in Jake Locker who is ready to play. Do you villainize S.F. if they do because they just went to the NFCC Game with Alex Smith, coming off his best season to date? Either way the QB was getting replaced. It's a business. Nothing more.

Its his best chance at success in the NFL. He goes to Miami and he's not going to come anywhere close to where he was last year.

Besides, the Dolphins probably have their eyes on Tebow now. Bringing him back to Florida would put people into Joe Robbie, er, I mean Pro Player, opps, I mean Sun Life or whatever the fuck they're calling their stadium now.

Manning has spent his entire career making nothing but #2 and 3 receivers look like superstars. Marvin Harrison was the best wideout he's ever had and I don't think that cowardly munchkin would have been a #1 receiver with anybody else at QB.

Yes.

It will get real ugly when the Broncos aren't winning games. Even if Peyton is playing, and playing well.

Broncos miss the playoffs and heads will roll.

Definitely, and they will make the playoffs every one of them. With ease. That division is bad and has gotten worse.
Yep, the exact point I made earlier. The shit factor of the division had to play into the decision I'd guess.
