Do you think Indianapolis would have still cut Peyton if they thought he could still play or throw?
Yes. It's obvious they were looking o rebuild and had no intention of giving him that 28 million dollar check. Healthy or not.

I know of Alien and Aliens but that's it.
Alien 3 is flawed but under appreciated. Fincher even with studio meddling is still good shit and there's a lot I like about it.

I'm not doubting that, but King is never right when it comes to West Coast teams.

Yeah, basically this.

What would that have to do with Alex Smith wanting to play for the Dolphins, a team on the east coast?

If it was something like "49ers are throwing huge cash at Alex Smith" then, yes, you'd be right.

I'm really started to feel like we might have dodged a bullet with not getting Peyton. It would have fucked up our salary cap. Possibly not re-signing some key guys in the next couple years. Noodle necks 49ers era could end in one quarter. All I want is Alex back at this point.

NFL Live just trashed Tim Tebow.

- nobody wants him and the circus he brings
- can not play QB in this league
- getting Manning and dropping Tebow was brilliant
- Manning deserves 20 million alone for providing a valid reason to get rid of Tebow.
- startling trends when watching Tebow on tape
- no free agent wanted to go to Denver because of Tebow
- Merill laughed at the thought of Tebow going to Patriots and making packages that put Tebow on the field and Brady on the sideline
They always trashed him so nothing new there. Merril Hoge acts like Tim Tebow sacrificed his family.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but Harbaugh just left the 49er facility, presumably to talk to Smith. I just don't see Alex leaving the 49ers.

It all sounds like leverage to get the 49ers to add more years/cash to his deal.

He was offered a 3 year deal with up to $24 mil. That is an absurd amount for him.

If the alien from Alien fucked a human you'd get Peyton Manning Sam Cassell.

I've cracked the code.

I love everybody criticizing the choice without saying who they'd pick. Reiff, overrated and not what we need on the right side. Blackmon, we are stacked at WR. LB's, C, and secondary, not worth anything higher than a 15.

As I said, Bucs need Claiborne. If the real draft goes this way the Bucs are fucked and need to trade back to #13 or later where the players at positions we actually have a need at are slotted.

the 49ers will not offer anything more then they already have to small hands. its bad enough that they would possibly have to commit to him for another 3 years.

edit - AHHHH SAM CASsELL

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Actually, this why i hope Tebow is not traded, so he can be working with both Elway and manning to become the ultimate badass runner and thrower when Manning slows down.

His neck is fine, and really any player's career could end on one bad hit. This question was about his nerve damage and arm strength. And salary cap or not, you don't win a Super Bowl with Alex Smith as your QB. Taking a shot at a 'Noodle Neck 49er Era" is better than the Alex Smith era which will only end in disappointment.

Let alex leave...pleeeeeeease!

Some act like he is the only qb in the world.....we didn't ask him to do much last year.

Walk to the line, check into a run if need be.
hike the ball look at ur first read..nothing? Check down...what is 3rd down now? Still check down and hope some picks up the first down...if not its ok

We have the best punter in the league and one of the best defenses in the league...

Do that for the majority of the game and wait for the team to fuckup on offense. Take advantage of field position by only settling for a fieldgoal :/

Oh bu bu bu BUT what about all those 4th qtr comebacks? There wouldn't need to be a fuckin 4th qtr comebakc if u could just convert a fuckin few 3rd downs to fuckin put team away.

There is something terribly wrong when you need to have six 4th qtr comebacks when u supposedly have one o the best defenses in the league!

Best Tebow news ever. You can put him in Canton now. Drop a 100 on whoever picks up Tebow to win the SB because its happening.

Pfft you KNOW you guys are taking Blackmon in the real draft.

The Rams have settled for safe, need picks for too long. Fisher has said as much. Blackmon has a limited ceiling. Poe can be a force if coached up and motivated. I think they trade back from six and try and grab one of the cluster of WRs in the mid first, and again in the 2nd. Blackmon at #6 is just a reach

I wouldn't take a WR or RB in the draft unless you were certain the guys you were taking were once in a generation type talents. Richardson and Blackmon are not those guys. Dez Bryant and Crabtree would have me real worried about Blackmon.

Ridiculous. There are at least a dozen teams every year that know they have no realistic chance of winning and more importantly are not raking in the cash. Tebow solves the latter which is what really matters. If he can somehow do the former, then the latter increases exponentially.

Most NFL teams make money. So that's not the problem.

At this point, I might as well root for 0-16 for the Dolphins. Any good QBs coming out next year?

Nah, just draft Kirk Cousins this year! Then you can use all of my phrases I had for him in college, such as (but not limited to):

Captain Kirk, setting phaser to touchdown

God damn it Kirk, you fucking idiot

Thank god Brian Hoyer isn't our QB anymore

For fucks sake Kirk, please just hand the ball off some more

Thankfully you arn't my Cousin, because I would totally fuck you right now Kirk

You have the tools, not draft away my friend

Just beat Mass Effect 3.

The ending is actually worse than what you have heard if you haven't played it yet.

At least the music during the credits is good.

But Devin Thomas has a SuperBowl ring!

Oh shit! Peyton in Denver, Saturday visiting, Brandon Stokely signing is likely, and Clark/Tamme could visit as well.

Would be fun to see if Manning-Stokely still has chemistry.
