Yes, I know that Christmas was 3 months ago.

Oh wow, we had the exact same workstation, monitors, keyboard and mouse at my job. Your job must be as cheap as mine. ;)
It's all Dell shit, well, I'm using a MS mouse but most of them are Dell. The shitty thing is half the computers, mine included, only have a single video-out so we have these little USB boxes (the orange thing at the back of my desk) to split our monitors - the second monitor has major response time problems and constantly crashes because of USB conflicts.

Yeah... cheap garbage but you don't need too much for web development.

great setup man! do you have links to your sc2/wow triple monitor wallpaper? looks extremely badass!

Just took photos for this. For better or worse, here they are. I am in the middle of folding laundry, my wife just came in with groceries, and it is garbage day today, so you get a little bit of everything!

Center view. This is what I see and what I work with every day. Ipad 3 on the left (white), Ipad 2 (black) on the left, and my 4GS in the middle. I watch movies on the 3 and surf on the 2. There is a WoW Cataclysm Mouse, a Logitech G13 gamepad on the left, and a years old MS wireless keyboard I love and cannot justify replacing.

All in all, I am really happy with the space I carved out for myself. My wife has a very similar set up right next to me. We do our hobbies together even though they are quite different hobbies. We also play WoW together. The space between our desks is cleared off and my wife makes finger foods that we snack on all day. She's pretty awesome.

Here's one of the most ghetto computer desks:

Yes, those are two large PA speakers.

The actual tower, weighed down by a guitar interface, 8 lb hand weight, and two high school year books. All because two of the fan blades broke.

The reason my computer is using two speakers as a desk is because my recording computer is using the actual desk:

Old pic. Really need to take a new pic, with my new headphones.

Yes I know my desk and keyboard are disgusting. Compared to headphone gear, desk and keyboard take a pretty low priority for replacement.

I don't feel like taking a picture of my desk nor do I have a pre-existing one, but here's a picture I took a while back when I installed underglow on my desk:

That's pretty cool. I've always thought about adding some light to my set up, maybe behind my monitor or under the desk, but I've never made it a priority. How much did that cost you/how difficult was it to build?

My little setup in my bedroom. My TV/Games/systems/knick-knacks are on the other wall, and my bed parallel to that deskop.

Today I learned that everybody on Neogaf is a space lawyer/doctor. Makin dough yall'.

Awesome setup.

This is the computer I normally use. An early 2011 iMac.

This was my previous computer, a mid 2005 Power Mac G5. It sits at the opposite corner of my bedroom. It doesn't see much use at all anymore.

And this is relatively clean, too.

Some ridiculous money in this thread.

e: 18.4" laptop, 20" matte LCD, 32" LCD TV off frame, 10.1" Thunkpad android tablet, ATH-M50 headphones, G500 mouse, Intuos 3 tablet, Zune HD, a sketchbook, a fan made out of a CPU fan and a speaker case, and some candy.

This may not be the exact item I got, but it's the same brand and very similar:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000I04Z7Q/?tag=neogaf0e-20

As you can see there it's not too expensive, and it took maybe 10 minutes to set up.

Not much to it. At least it's always clean.

Keep saying I will get a new case for my PC, but this $30 I bought 10 or 11 years ago is big and easy to work inside of. But it looks like it was designed in the 70's. I have named the case Big Bertha and have grown quite attached to it.

Here’s a shot I took the other day.

My main desktop and music listening area. 27” iMac. there’s a gaming PC hidden off to the side of the desk (iMac functions as display for the OC) You can see the black keyboard and mouse shelved underneath the iMac.

Setup%20-%201.jpg

I’m a sucker for good speakers and headphones, as you could tell.

the other “setup” is an ipad that I move around the house. But I use this around 60 to 70% of the time that I’m online at home.

Is that a monitor turned on its side? Or are there monitors built specifically to be used vertically? I've seen them before but never really understood the advantage of them. Better for reading?

I have no idea. Visiting what is going to be my new office, I saw a couple of guys using monitors like this. I'll ask them why once I start!

Yah, I would say it's better for reading. Imagine you are dealing with letter or A4 documents.... on its side, you can see the whole page.

Many monitors can rotate.

It's like an iPad - very nice to use in portrait.

Thanks for the kind remarks. I am very happy with the setup I have. We'll be getting a new house in the next 3-4 years and I plan on having my own man cave then and it will be glorious. The funny thing about my setup is that no one gives a fuck. Seriously. My wife could care less and I don't have any other friends that are really gamers. That makes me appreciate the remarks here that much more.

^Craziness! Really awesome setup bro.
Thank you. It all just kind of came together all at once. The triple monitor set up was a big jump for my last upgrade. I went in blind because I had never seen or used one before. Needless to say, it was a great decision.

i don't get it......why all the bottled condiments?

These are part of my hot sauce collection I have on one of my fire place mantles upstairs. I have them next to me right now so I can clean them and then put them back on display. I even said that in the description!

Some of you need to stop hoarding and throw some stuff away! And clean while you are at it.
I've been collecting movies for about 12 years, well before Netflix or streaming video. I really tapered off about 2 years ago though. I would not start from scratch today given the technology available. Oddly enough, virtually every movie in my collection has been ripped to several 3T HDs that I stream to all my TVs and devices. I never actually touch those movies on the shelf anymore.

Mousepads, eh? LOL
Absolutely. I don't want to wear down my desk in one spot by rubbing my mouse over it for years at a time. The pad is to save my desk from wear, and that's it.

My first reaction to SillyEskimo's desk:
Damn sillyeskimo. That's like my dream setup. Me jelly.
Thank you. You are looking at 10+ years of stuff, just to put it in perspective.

If I'm reading your WoW character correctly, we're in the same guild.
Thunderhorn > Twilight Alliance > Fairweather If we're in the same guild, post a name, we'll have 1 more thing in common :)

:( Same here, some terrific setups here, especially sillyEskimo, very nice! A bit too cluttered for my tastes though, I'm more in love with that view, very jealous!
Interestingly, the rest of my home is pretty spartan. However, for the personal space at my desk, I really enjoy the dichotomy of having all my media to the left of me and beautiful outdoors to the right of me. Having a wife and 2 children makes having your own space that much more important! When trying to imagine my own purpose built room, I go back and forth between a minimalist design and the "shotgun of craziness" that I currently have to my left. In the end, I may do a mix of the 2 again, but evenly divided or have the craziness hidden but able to be displayed if I so choose. I'll have to wait and see what I'm dealing with when the time comes.

So jelly of the triple-monitor setups. But 1920x1200 monitors are harder to find for cheap....
I already had a 1920x1200 monitor, so when I went triple I had to have 2 more. It was hard to find them and they were significantly more expensive than 1920x1080 monitors. If I was starting fresh, I would've easily gone with 3x1920x1080.

I admire SillyEskimo's setup (what are those LotR figures?), and I'm sure it gives off a great 'mancave' feel, but I'd probably feel a bit claustrophobic after a while. I much prefer a setup like MrOrange.
Those are actually LOTR Pez dispensers. My parents got it for me for Xmas. I didn't know what else to do with them. My children also somehow think I love Darth Vader, so get me Darth Vader shit all the time and I just throw that stuff on the shelf too. I just don;t have the heart to tell them otherwise...

Yeah, finding good wallpapers is kind of a PITA for 5760x1200. Here is a post from another forum with several sizes of the pic:
http://www.drow.org/forums/showthread.php?t=59850

So few of these coming from work!
Here is some pics of my desk at work. My iphone is placed in the business card holder. I use my ipad for goddamn everything though. I have those sound occlusive headphones on for 5-6 hours a day listening to music, podcasts, audiobooks, and movies.

What's going on with your iPad? It looks like a second monitor.

Yeah, I'm using it as a second monitor using wifi and DisplayPad. It's useful in place of not having a monitor. Obviously, it's just a video feed, so it's not super high quality, and it does lag a little, but for little notification panels and the like, it's good. You can tap things as well.

This is where I work, play, and be bored. 37" TV as a monitor, $5
dollar
speakers, 13" MBP for school. I have my old desks keyboard tray clamped to my new desk's tray which is too small. I don't sit very close, just lean back and relax. TV's are the way to go for monitors, plus it is one of the cheapest ways to get a good IPS monitor.
