NFL Off-Season Thread: "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?"

Nah I'm cool with everything. Theres still months to go until even the preseason. Everybody has their own opinion on Tebow but really its just best to wait till everything shakes out.

Future is one of the more reasonable posters here and you have managed to make him mock you. Clearly you've done something dumb in the past few hours.

Shhh. He's garbage. It was the defensive line that completed the pass to Mario Manningham and rallied the team for 7 comeback victories during the season (most of them when the defense was shit) including the Super Bowl.

What Super Bowl? I've heard it got cancelled because of a crazy police sniper. It never happened so nobody won and NOBODY LOST!

It's cute watching Tebow update his Facebook page.

This morning he "liked" the New York Jets. Then 15 minutes later, he added them to his work history.

I wonder if anyone is dumb enough to give Wallace qb money (which is what he is asking for)?

I love the guy but we would obviously let someone else get him for that price.

I don't find personal insults to be "mocking". I've already alerted the proper authorities anyway.
No, it's mocking because you're damn near trolling at this point and some of what you say must be a joke. I've no interest in personally insulting you. I don't even know you outside of this forum. There's a point where opinion turns into a level of joke status that I have to question if you're being serious or not. Lunchbox for instance is a perfect example. I know 95% of what he posts is a joke and therefore don't take him seriously. I'm wondering if you're the same boat or if you're being genuine or not? Serious question.

If I misunderstood your intention, then I apologize.

What would you guys even consider fair for Wallace?

He should certainly be getting more than guys like DJax / VJax.

Dude I'm just messing around. Eli is an Elite QB. Always has been, always will be.

It's not like he'll get that much anywhere else. He's a great talent but hasn't really proven anything.

You never know in the NFL.

It must be humbling though when you ask for qb money and no one is interested.

Still depressed that the Steelers did not do the right thing and get Tebow. I am now convinced that Elway is a devil worshipper.

Sooooo....Elway to the Pats confirmed right?

Well in reality, it is like the equivalent of being dumped by a your love and moving on to a fat chick that is not sure if they really like you. He has to move on, or it would be sad.

I feel like the NFL Network should be firing Sapp for treating the matter so flippantly. Clearly the shield treats it as a safety matter
and by safety matter, they're covering their asses from all the personnel injury lawsuits that have been filed and are forthcoming
, and for an "analyst" on their network to say that is brazen if not outright stupid.

Well, I'm sure he can go to small group with Jeremy Lin.

I have to say, it is hilarious to have seen Vick criticized in his first five or so years for being a mediocre passer but defended as a "winner."

And the exact same conversation is used on Tim Tebow.

Although even 2004 Vick makes Tim Tebow look like Kurt Kittner.

Mike Wallace = DeSean Jackson - Fuckheadery - Fuckheadery - Fuckheadery + 2 inches
?

Skillset wise, I think they offer very similar/identical play styles. Extraordinary speed that makes it tough for any safety to keep up. They both excel at blowing the top off of a defense but are fairly limited outside of that. Both are not great all around receivers ala a Fitzgerald or Andre Johnson that can beat you no matter where they are on the field. What they offer is valuable but hardly worth Fitz money.

Personality wise, I'm not comparing the two.

Someone from ESPN tweeted afterwards that he meant the Madden cover championship.

Speaking of,

Can all you fine folks do me a favor and go vote for Legarrete Blount for the Madden cover?

I want the curse as far away from Cam Newton as humanly possible. And sending it down to Tampa Bay would be a twin victory in my eyes.

Personality makes a huge difference. I expect Mike Wallace to make tough grabs late in a close game. I trust him.

I totally expect DeSean Jackson to pout at the end of the game and drop balls. Although, he does fumble less than chaboy Jeremy Maclin.

Skillset-wise, they're very comparable. I think the one thing that makes me think that Mike Wallace can become more rounded is that he plays in an offense where he gets so few opportunities.

Voting for sCam!

I believe his point is Wallace is DJax without the diva personality.

But if he's asking for Fitz money then yeah. He's the typical WR diva.

I love Mike Wallace.

Yep, I think we're on the same page there but going back to the original question - does that mean he deserves Fitz money for the skillset he offers? That was my underlying point. Again, I think DeSean Jackson money (which isn't anything to sneeze at mind you!) is about where I think his value sits.

No, he doesn't. I'm sure his agent is just shoving that nonsense Football Outsiders article in front of all their faces stating that, considering he gets so few chances, he'd average 2 thousand yards a season in a traditional offence, etc.
