Made this little MOC with a few pieces at hand:

How the dwarfs get their goods to the local Medieval Market Village.

Had a great day out at legoland 'star wars invasion'. they had the UK stormtrooper garrison walking around in costume, and when you see 10-20 stormtroopers walking towards you, its pretty impressive. The Star Wars miniland is really nice but fairly small - 7 dioramas to look at, and its quite dark in there, so photography is difficult.

A few shots from today:

I very nearly bought the lighthouse from the legoland shop with 10% off, but my wife gave me 'that look'. So I might start the fire brigade this weekend instead :P

Is anyone else a big fan of Technic? I love the original LEGOs but once I picked up my first Technic set I was hooked. They're so sturdy, and I love having mechanical functions.

Lighthouse Island and Hillside House will be my next purchases, then Beach House. Model Town House is pretty pricey :(

At the flea market and there are 2 nanoblock sets in box for $7 each. Is that a good deal? Pretty sure I'm going to pick them up. Another booth has build your own mini fig for $2 a piece with tons of options but I'm not into minifig collecting.

i seriously doubt that the parts will break, lego is pretty robust, and I cant see technics being any different
Technics can definitely snap or bend. It's probably not as easy to have it happen by disassembling a set. I recently replaced some fishbones from my Silver champion as they had snapped. Also had some technic pieces inside my Star Destroyer destroy themselves over time by bending.
Technics are a bit more delicate than normal bricks, but not brittle enough to compare to say a normal model.

The Nanoblock sets are a good deal, yeah. I have like, 7 sets now, and the minimum you'll pay is like $12 for a box (via Amazon). Retail is $15.

Love that Brick Show main guy, he looks and sounds like the exact opposite of someone who has anything to do with Lego, and that's what makes him so fun to watch :) It's like a bulky pro wrestler from texas is reviewing Barbie toys.

Absolutely no offense intended, you know what I mean :)

I ended up getting the 2 sets for a total of $12 thanks to a little haggling. And a guy had a booth with all the modules and a few it looked like he built himself like a bank and a cinema. His prices were fair with a boxed fire brigade for $140 and the black pearl for $80.

Couldn't find the Tanative at the Lego store in Raleigh. So I picked up the Technic Crane/Bulldozer for my son(loves Gold Rush) and I got the Falcon for myself.

My newest modular just arrived from Amazon! That makes 3 modulars now. Great price with the combination of Amazon's 10% off sale and the Amazon Local gift card offer.

Which Nanoblock sets did you get???

Man, I'm heavily debating right now on whether or not to get an X-Wing set or Mass Effect 3. My life is slowly becoming reconsumed by my childhood desire of Lego again mostly from this thread and from Tested.

If anyone is interested in City stuff, I picked up an extra 7207 Fire Boat for $60 on clearance. (Picked up one for myself and one extra. Had to at that price since they've been OOP for a few months now.)

I'm happy to sell it for cost plus shipping, so just shoot me a PM if interested =)

Ordered the Fire Brigade a couple of weeks ago from Lego.com when the double-points sale was going on. And just ordered the Grand Emporium from Toys R' Us w/ free shipping and 10% off. I don't know when I'll get around to building them, since I don't have any real place to display them. But... Just knowing I will have them waiting to be built at some point... mhmm.

Dammit. Toys R Us just fired up their B2G1 50% off sale. I just spent so much money, I dont want to spend more but that deal is fucking great. And sure enough, Grand Emporium and Pet Shop are out of stock. I will be watching all week for them to reappear.

EDIT: Fuck it. The sale is frequent enough I can wait. I need to remember that I am broke now after this last month of Lego purchases.

EDIT 2: Damn. It looks like the 10% off sale AND the b2g1 50% off sale combines. That is some crazy good pricing on stuff.

Bone posts this, I go to the TRU website to place my order, Tower Bridge says "in stock online", place items in my cart, click checkout, "Tower Bridge is no longer available". =(

Wow, I need the Galaxy Patrol dude...and even more, the Computer Programmer! =)

Nice, though I think I'll only be importing 1 or 2 boxes this time, I'm still sitting on 7 complete sets of series 6, 2 sealed boxes and about 50 spares that I can't sell. Not sure why but last series no one was buying. :(

Surely people are buying up all the Roman Soldiers they can? And Lady Liberty seems to be the most expensive figure.

Well I'm selling them as complete sets and once you make 3 complete sets per box there's no more remaining soldiers or statues or liberties. :/

Moai Statues of Easter Island and Neuschwanstein Castle. I built the Moai set last night and it was pretty fun but I'd say over 80% of the build was the 3 statues so it was repetitive. The teeny tiny bricks were really cute and good quality. I'm looking forward to building the castle soon.

I haven't bought the Easter Island heads yet, but I have that castle AND the ...Deluxe Edition that I'm really excited to build. I'll keep an eye out for the Moai statues, though - I really want them!
