how many pieces are in that if the little one is over 550 already?!
The box reads over 5800, and given the number of extra pieces you usually get, it's probably closer to 6000 pieces in the box. It also includes 3 LED baseplates that you turn on to give that uplighting effect showing in the picture. Really really really excited to build it.![]()
Just take it slow. Nanoblocks don't have anywhere near the structural strength of lego (although I'm guessing that castle has more normal bricks, less 1x1). They often use that to their advantage (eg how they make tiny trees) but it can get like a game of jenga when building big sets
What's your pricing?
I found a seller for UCS Falcon. ~$1700 new, so I know no parts are missing, and that's with shipping.
Think I'm going to go for it....

Nice. It will retain it's value, that's for sure.![]()
That's my view on it. it unopened and complete, and it will only keep going up in value.

Nice haul, reminds me of some old stuff back home. Just one thing, in the picture I've quoted the legs are backward, please fix (slight OCD) =P
There's a store in my area that has a few Tantive IV sets left on the shelf. I'm going to definitely grab one for myself to build, especially considering that it's now OOP. I'm trying to decide if I should grab an extra one to re-sell later on. Does anyone anticipate this set going up significantly in value within the next few years like the other larger sets that have gone OOP? I'm wondering if it's worth it to grab a second one, considering that it's a $200 set.
Also, because it's being practically ignored here, I feel the need to throw some love toward the Republic Frigate set. What an incredible set! I got it a couple of weeks ago and it was a much more varied build than I thought it would be. The picture on the box does not do it justice. It is a very large and detailed ship. There are three distinct sections to build that all come together beautifully at the end. Fun to build and it looks great on the shelf.
Yeah, thanks. I caught that after I took the picture. Also note his hat looks like my little sister was chewing on it!Nice haul, reminds me of some old stuff back home. Just one thing, in the picture I've quoted the legs are backward, please fix (slight OCD) =P

You can get it for around half that by smart bricklinking. It's a pain in the ass though, and I would have rather paid for it brand new in the box.I found a seller for UCS Falcon. ~$1700 new, so I know no parts are missing, and that's with shipping.

For anyone still awake at this hour, Target.com has the Cool Cruiser for $21.35. That's 47% off.
It comes out to 3.8 cents a piece which is an insane deal.

Is that in-store as well?
Has anyone else bought any of the MUJI "LEGO Bricks and Paper" sets, with the stud sized hole punch? I only found out that they'd been released outside Japan when I randomly decided to see if there were any eBay sellers offering them or anything.
The UK MUJI site has a choice of 2 sets (one about 9.2 pence per piece (not including the paper), the other a crazy 23p per piece). The hole punch is sold separately for about a tenner and comes with a template stencil to mark holes that are proper stud widths apart. The US site looks like it has most of the sets, but I don't know what the prices are like there.
I got the punch and the 9.2ppp set ("Animals/Vehicles") and it seems pretty good. My only minor gripes are that the hole punch doesn't store the punched out circles and that you don't get any plain card (only pre-printed sheets for the included models), but I've been having a hard time finding any evidence of the sets appearing in MOCs or any fan-made designs etc so I don't know if people just don't care about it or if they don't know that it's available. Maybe it seems too childish to most AFOLs?
(Note: For people who don't know what I'm on about, info is here:http://www.muji.com/lego/
So GAF, should I buy 10193 Medieval Village Market? I guess since Castle is my favourite line-up, I would like to start from that. The price-per-piece is certainly the best by far, but with the price being at least 900 Yuan/105 Euro here in China im not sure if I will bite.

I know it's a long shot, but is there any company or individual that offers a bespoke custom minifig service? (As in doing torso designs printed on to the fig and entirely custom moulded printed headgear). I'd be willing to pay a reasonable amount (but not an absolute fortune) for some Welkin and Alicia (from Valkyria Chronicles) minifigs as long as they were of similar quality to official LEGO designs and parts. My Cuusoo (link) project for VC sets is, as expected, not exactly receiving hundreds of supporters.
While I'm posting, I'll take the opportunity to quote my post (from ages ago) about the MUJI sets, as it seemed to go unnoticed before. I think it was my first post on GAF as well
My recent Journey MOC, while quite basic, shows (I think) how the MUJI hole punch can be used in standard models, not just specific "Bricks and Paper" stand alone items:
All of the paper parts are held in place/together with LEGO parts, no tape/glue needed, even on the character. (For those wondering, there is a normal (armless) minifig torso and head under the paper on the character, with a few attached pieces to hold the paper in place) They were designed in Inkscape and printed as a PDF before being cut and punched.
that Muji papercraft looks interesting. Is the Animals pack just some printed card and a few lego studs? wonder if its worth getting to try out the ideas - I think my daughter would really like this.
I have a lot of the original Star Wars Lego from when it first came out.
Won a lot from a competition on Nickolodeon as well.
All of them have their own boxes, albeit a bit battered due to the age and there may be one or two pieces missing but any idea on what this would fetch for or is it worth keeping?
From memory I have:
X Wing
Gungan Sub
Darth Mauls Interceptor Ship
Snow Speeder
Land Crusier
Y Wing with Darth Vaders Tie Fighter combonation Box.
I can get some pictures if any are wanted.![]()
