Well, sort of.

Tarot reading revolves around the belief that the cards can be used to gain insight into the current and possible future situations of the subject (or querent), i.e. cartomancy. Some believe they are guided by a spiritual force, such as Gaia, while others believe the cards help them tap into a collective unconscious or their own creative, brainstorming subconscious. The divinatory meanings of the cards are derived mostly from the Kabbalah of Jewish mysticism and from Medieval Alchemy.

I've been studying the tarot for a couple years now, and while I'm by no means a scholar, I do have my own deck(Mage: The Awakening format), and am fairly familiar with the meanings of the arcana and the assorted face cards.


The idea is that people can post here requesting a reading, and I will randomly select a card to give them an outline of what they can expect in the future, whether in broad or pertaining to an event in particular.

Now, since I obviously can't do a full reading(such as the Celtic Cross), the result will strictly be interpreted from the card I select, whether upright or inverted.

Feel free to post from here on stating your request, and any details if you like, and I'll do my best to discern an outcome, hopefully a helpful one. (If by any chance the thread gets swamped with requests, any others wishing to chime in with their own readings are more than welcome to assist.)

Regarding requests for repeat readings, those aren't too likely, at least not in the immediate future. For the time being, it's one and done, unless another wants to chime in.
