I really wish Blizzard could have teamed up with LEGO instead of Mega Bloks... Needless to say some of this stuff does look pretty cool though.

LEGO said:Wow! Congratulations on a great run to 10,000 supporters this week, fueled by actor Simon Pegg's mentions on Conan and Twitter! We admire your passion and enthusiasm for the film Shaun of the Dead, and your desire to see a LEGO set of the Winchester.
In our previous message, we noted that due to the themes behind Shaun of the Dead, there would need to be some significant internal discussion for us to agree to produce this as a product. Please understand that this discussion has yet to take place, and while we appreciate your work and celebrate this big success with you, we are not guaranteeing production.
But for now, we celebrate. So without further adieu, we congratulate you on achieving 10,000 supporters and officially advance this project to the Review phase.
How's that for a slice of fried gold?
What happens now?
This project moves from the Idea stage to the Review stage. A "LEGO Jury" composed of designers, product managers, and other key team members will examine the idea. We'll build concept models and determine if the concept meets our high standards for what it takes to be a LEGO product, including playability, safety, and fit with the LEGO brand.
Every LEGO product goes through a process like this and must meet the same standards.
The review is a thorough process that will take several weeks. When finished, we make a "go/no go" decision to develop and sell the Winchester. We will inform you of our decision, and if green-lighted, this project goes into the longest phase of the project; the Development phase. During this time, LEGO model designers refine the product and develop it for release, we create the product materials (box, instructions, marketing), and get everything ready for a production run. This takes several months.
We will post followup information here and announce our final decision in the LEGO.com press room.
OCCUPY LEGO TOWN HALL!
Yes, I am bored without new sets to build and no funds to get more.
If not, then it's not because of the theme (some PotC sets already had zombies and other death-related elements in them), but because it's just not very good looking.not going to happen...

I would think commercial rights would be a bigger issue.
They might, but it's going to be a difficult decision, Lego said as much in both their messages on the CUUSOO page.not going to happen...
Did anyone have problems with the instructions for the Fire Brigade? Only just started but steps 2 and 3 both show only one piece, but the picture shows multiple being used, like they've missed off how many of each you need. Eg step 2 on mine shows one 2x6 light grey, but the picture shows two being used. Step 3 shows one 1x2 dark grey, but there are four in the picture
Thankfully Town Hall has a secret defense....
no one can fit through the front doors.
Finished it today. Biggest set I ever build, took me quite some time but feels like childhood again.

The designer of Metal Grudge is at it again:

The tank from Ghost in the Shell. You simply have to see it in action, it's far better than you probably think it is:

Do any non Lego stores carry the VW bus, I don't think I've ever seen it.
It's like a railroad rainbow.
The question is, do you have a train?
OMG! UCS Millennium Falcon about to be re-released.

I really hope this isn't an April Fools joke.
And today, it starts looking like the Falcon
and new comparison shots (and some more parts on the underside)
It's an April Fools joke.
Holy ****!
That is unbelievable, in the most awesome sense.
Sets I have include the Green Grocer, Grand Emporium, Pet Shop, Fire Brigade, Holiday Bakery and Toy Shop, and The Emerald Night. I also have several duplicate minifigs that would be included also, such as Jabba The Hutt and 10 hazmat guys!
That's the worst kind of April fool. Gets hopes up and is feasible.
They should have said Lego were introducing a new 'life size' range, starting with tower bridge. Something silly and fun
And how do you get a 10% off coupon to the Lego store?

The "VP of Manufacturing" in that press release - Louis Friend, is an anagram for iron sulfide, aka "Fool's Gold".
Now Brickset has another news item up, reporting that they will adding MegaBloks, Kre-O, etc to the database. The rage in response is palpable. LOL.
At least its only one day a year.
