Witcher 2 for Xbox 360 'Enhanced Edition', 4+ hours bonus content, out April 17th

I'm doing the same. Well, I settled for regular EE for 360 as I just wanted to support the devs. I have a more than capable computer but I just love this damn game so much. I've only played with a controller and have loved every moment. It's cool that it comes with the music as well as since the steam version did as well and I have spent more time reading books just listening to that damn music than I care to admit. Damn fine game that any adult should have in there collection.

Can someone kindly answer me this:

Story/Quest wise, is it more like Skyrim where you do have lot's and lot's of Quests to do or more like Dragon Age/Mass Effect where you have Main and Secondary Quests but it's more Story oriented?

Also, what's the average time to complete main story with Secondary Quests?

I'd say Mass effect is pretty close. About 30-40 hours.

It's more like Dragon Age/Mass Effect (in your comparison). There is the main quest and along the way you'll be able to pick up secondary quests. You are never really overwhelmed with quests, and are typically working on a handful at a time. It's definitely far more story oriented. Side missions often feed the main story (but not always).

Maybe 20-25 hours or so with the main story and a good amount of side missions? Then you're going to want to play the game again (trust me on this) and there's a whole bunch of additional content for another 20 hours or so. So you're looking at 40-50 hours if you do EVERYTHING the game has to offer.

Great, thanks a lot for the kind answers. Glad to know it's more Story oriented, the game length sounds just right, I love Skyrim but I still need to finish it due to the massive misc quests. Much more fan of a Mass Effect take on telling a Story.

I like more story oriented games. Better than a lot os "empty" quests.

Thanks one more time, now to see if If it's worth to get the Dark Edition or not.
 
That video is probably the best representation of the source material that CD Projekt has ever done. Perfect representation of what his life is like when he's not being thrust into all these political situations that he doesn't want to be involved in. Just a guy no one likes doing under appreciated work for crap pay.

It almost makes me want to see CD Projekt remake all of the novels into games. But I think player choice would be limited, though.

I feel like the first game did a better job of capturing what it's like to be a Witcher than the second game did. It had a lot more "witching" to do.

Yea, the first game is definitely a lot more of the "witcher life on a day to day basis" feeling but witht he way it ended, they didn't have much of a choice with where to take TW2.
 
part 11 actually has one of the chapter summaries they talked about. pretty entertaining and planted a few seeds regarding some characters.
 
Outside of balance fixes I figure they'll be done with DLC, the team having moved on to The Witcher 3 and/or whatever else CPD Red is working on.
 
Do to my interest in the game series I couldn't finish playing Witcher 1 last year do to my PC's suckiness. So I pre-ordered a copy of the WITCHER 2 EE for xbox 360 on newegg for $48 shippied a while ago.

This week I bought a new graphics card an ati radeon 7750 for my PC so I could play the Witcher 1 and enjoy Witcher 2 more. The intergrated graphics card sux even on lowest but the new card runs Witcher 1 on max with no issues :D

While reading cheapassgamers.com someone posted that the Witcher 2 is on sale this week at Target. So I picked up a copy of the Witcher 2 (PC) at Target for cool $20. My card runs the game well on medium but my processor sucks... somewhat choppy in some parts yet playable.

Anyways.....

So far I love the game 2hrs in. I can't believe such a small developer makes such a good game. They are getting my support on day 1 :D CD Project Red can take my money any day.

I hope this game sells 2 million + on xbox 360, it deserves so much more

Well, all the fuss in this thread is about the second game. Not that the first game is bad, but it's completely different in terms of graphics and gameplay as it's much older and on a different engine.

Overall, I actually prefer the original, not the least because it's significantly longer/bigger (some consider this a negative, but I loved every moment following the prologue).

I love the original, and it has a few obvious advantages over the original. The ending is much better than 2, and Vizima is a very important city in the universe, something that I felt TW2 didn't really have. I didn't think the game was too long, only that the areas were too huge and empty, and the side quests involved too much traveling.

TW2 could've really used one more chapter/location in comparison to acts 1/2, something I hope the enhanced edition will rectify. Other than that it was superior to the first in every way IMO.
 
This is the first game where I actually felt the need to tell the girl at GameStop that I hope the 360 version sells really well since it's an amazing game. To my surprise, she already had it paid off and was counting the days so hopefully a lot of people are aware of this game and just how good it is.

The more it sells, the better I feel about Witcher 3 or even more Witcher 2 support.

Loved the endgame of Witcher 1, it felt pretty amazing (My Geralt was powerful as shit by that time too). It had fantastic music too.
 
Where are you guys buying your copies? TRU sort of has a deal on pre-orders but their free shipping usually takes a frigging week.

I think Witcher 2 is better in a lot of ways, however. A lot better writting, exponentially better visuals and animations, better combat system, and a more cohesive world. The actual world in the first game wasn't large at all either. Infact, one of things both games suffer from, in my opinion, is too few locations. What there is in Witcher 2 looks spectacular, but the game never feels particularly epic in scale.

Hopefully the third game is based in the empire, that could change things...

I think the transition cutscenes between acts is a small step in adding some of the epic feel. Still, the Witcher isn't really about that I feel. The world are densely packed with less locations but alot to do and see in them. Geralt isn't really a savior or hero, just an able dude with a reputation who gets caught up in pivotal moments.
