Looks like that Facebook leak a while back was legit. In any event, this should provide a nice kick to multiplayer.
 
Neat. A Batarian and Geth. I've bought a couple packs (including that Special Spectre Pack) and haven't unlocked anyone besides a single quarian though, :(

All the game needs now is a Volus and its set.

edit- And free, good deal EA.
 
I'm intensely interested in playing as a Geth.
 
Krogan Vanguard Holy shit. The Geth and Batarian look interesting too I guess. I'm willing to bet they were going to charge for this, but changed their minds after the ending outcry.

I'd bet not, as I'm sure theyre making bank on the booster packs.
 
Cool. Have been playing a lot of multiplayer and thought it was kinda cheap how every human male/female class was identical.

I'm VERY impressed at this DLC and the fact that it is all for free!

If they can somehow roll in a few bug fixes and enhancements like remapping abilities, change the revive button from A to something like the back button, and remove character cards from packs when you've maxed them out then this will be a total slam dunk.
 
WOW. I'm very surprised that this is free. I guess they don't want to fracture the player base.

And fuck yea playable Geth!

I think it comes with the patch, that's why it's free.

I can bet you that they made it free, because market research shows that a F2P model is more lucrative than the traditional model. Make your money via microtransactions, and release major content for free.

Too bad you still had to pay $60 to play the game in the first place, but you've got the idea.
 
Don't know if a playable Geth will be enough to get me to play again, but it's good to see them adding new things to the MP.
 
Great to hear it's free.. I can only imagine reactions from everyone hit by all the bugs if they had charged for it.
 
first dlc already on disc maybe???? With all the bad press they got with the ending maybe they think charging for on disc dlc would just add to the fire...

This stuff is probably on disc, and on XBL a model based on microtransactions to subsidize DLC makes no sense considering the costs of putting out free DLC on the marketplace. I highly doubt that, unless there's an absolutely stupid amount of people paying for packs.

Have the console versions been datamined? That's where on-disc DLC matters, on PC pushing out a large download is a 100 times easier, and cheaper.

Yeah, like someone above said: they are probably making a hell of a lot of money off the booster packs. I hope this means future MP DLC will be free. They'll probably charge for SP content (except for the ending stuff), but it will have to be damn good for me to buy it.
