So I'm confused. As far as I know, there's been no official release day set, nor is GW2 officially available for pre-order yet... (4/10 I believe)

Pre-purchase doesn't start until the 10th so they probably don't have the stuff yet

Didn't get the memo regarding the 14th Amendment
Just got a chance to listen to the first GAF Wars podcast and I liked it. It was really well done and kept my interest throughout (which is honestly kinda hard to do with podcasts). I hope to listen to the second one sometime today.
Anyway, Guild Wars 2 may just be the game where I buy a CE for the price advertised. I usually won't do that anymore thanks to my Halo 3 Legendary experience, but Guild Wars 2 looks like it will be something special. If my local GS is all out, then I'll just get the regular edition but I am definitely pre-purchasing.

I just called Gamestop because of this "email" and the customer rep *Called their 800#*
Said that the Beta box is a regional thing and that if you want the beta code in the United States that you pay the full price, and the Beta key will be printed on the receipt. He said no Game Stops in the States will have the actual Pre Order Box everyone is talking about

I also had a question that kinda just occurred when I was thinking about rarity of items:
Do rarer pieces of armor have better effects than more common pieces or do they just look cooler? I couldn't remember what ArenaNet was doing as far as rare drops. I know they don't want PVP armor (yes!) but I wasn't sure what their stance was as far as armor drops for PVE.

The rarer the item the more rune slots/stat mods you'll see on an item. Also, theoretically, the rarer items should look cooler. For example:
A blue rarity item might have 2 stat mods and 1 rune on it, a green might have 2/2, a yellow might have 2/4 and so on.
Looking for impressions if anyone got in the earlier one.

Okay, thanks. I think that's the way to go. I hated how much armor mattered in other MMOs but at the same time it's kinda cool having an extremely rare item that has effects that no one else can get (unless they also have that item).
Anyone who was in the earlier Beta is still under NDA and can't reveal any information about it.
I'm hispanic but don't really feel like I have much of an accient in that regard. Some people notice my New York side come out from time to time.

mehh.... it would be a bigger deal if it was for another random closed beta test but we're all gonna be in the next one too since we're all pre purchasing so its whatever lol...grats to whoever got them though

i wonder what this means to all those who have already payed off their CE from their local GS's
I'm assuming either they're going to have to call and get reconfirmation about it or just come back on the 10th with your receipt and retrieve your code.
