I thought vintage was the Polo Club, the "staples" in it are rarer and more expensive.
And sorry siddx, when I get back to the mainland I will be one of those "chumps" playing legacy. Started buying the cards when I got back in, around Scars, and out here I have yet to find someone who plays. Only so much you can learn by watching and playing against yourself. Although I've been thinking about MTGO...

Where are you right now?

Whenever a new card comes out there will always be someone who says "dies to removal/gets countered", which gets kind of old after a while.
Honolulu. A couple decent stores to play standard and stuff at, but not much support for eternal formats that I've seen.
People will only be happy if we get a card that is Hexproof, Unblockable, Indestructible, cannot be countered, cannot get -1/-1 counters and is aggressively costed.

vulnerable to mill and discard
worthless imo
I don't see how that card beats Platinum Angel, either.
Need Super Bolas
25/25
Trample, first strike, lifelink, flying, unblockable, deathtouch, hexproof, indestructible, protection from everything, card can't be named by an opponent, annihilator 10, when you attack opponent mills 30, pay 1 colorless mana :destroy target permanent, you can't lose the game
Nice deck bro.
(Btw we should play sometime, my username is halycon, feel free to add me, along with anyone else here who palys MTGO)
ThrunDoesn't pretty much everything die to counter?
So I just drafted a 5th huntsmaster in mtgo...
I'm apparantly lord of the huntsmasters.

BWHAHAHAHAH poor red players.
Fucked hard again. All jokes aside, this is some Archangels Light level of shit right here.
Honestly - it's not that bad.
Explain how. Because all I can see is a card that has great potential to fuck the controller for +1, do next to nothing for -4 and finally, cause some mild discomfort for -6. Sure, under the right conditions the -6 can win you some games. But until then, he's fragile, damaging to the controller and just sort of useless. An argument can be made for unburial rites decks...if you didn't end up discarding them inadvertently.
Not a fan and with any deck that's popular right now, he'll be dead more or less the turn he hits the ground or the one right after.
PS - not trying to be a dick. If there is something here I'm missing, please, let me know.
Grixis control decks (ex: http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=44618) and 4 to 5 color control decks (ex: http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=42680) use Desperate Ravings instead of Think Twice because the goal is dig through the deck at a rapid pace, not necessarily have perfect card selection. In the early game, dropping this guy is pretty much guaranteeing you at least 2 activations, and in a control mirror, you are probably going to just sit back and abuse that +1. This isn't an Elspeth, Knight Errant thats going to stabilize the board, nor is it Liliana of the Veil, who is going to provide early disruption. This is Jace Beleren, who will simply provide you value over the course of the game.

Now this is an actual spell. That makes the already crazy Lingering Souls even crazier and something like Spider Spawning into a nuclear counter bomb.
Loving the set so far. It sets itself apart in the same way as Rise of the Eldrazi and New Phyrexia, but feels less haphazard than either.
Jesus God, this card is absurd.
My Ghave EDH deck is going to absolutely adore it.

If you think Tibalt is bad, you're not seeing the (very narrow) matchup which he blows up.
It's kinda like bringing in Amaterasu against Morrigan.
Bonfire, though, is pretty awful outside of limited.
To use Tibalt you need the following things to be true.Do tell in which matchup Tibalt would shine?
I can't immediately tell a standard deck in which he would be a good second turn drop, but then again I haven't played standard all that much these days. I would've been excited about him in the good old madness days :b
The two drop planeswalker is awful. If his -6 ability was going to be that useful for you, they'd probably have swung into him and killed him the turn before you could activate his ultimate.
