NHL '12 Playoffs |OT| "The Cup is our destiny this year."

The Visa commercial started out being awesome, now it's just really annoying. STOP SHOWING THAT FRIGGIN' COMMERCIAL IT HURTS LOL.

Only reason you start Schneider is to mix things up. Lu's been our best player this series.

I fully expect AV to do this. Luongo's not to blame for the 2-0 series deficit but we seriously gotta mix it up. We got nothing going right now. If it weren't for two flukey goals, we'd be getting nothing offensively.

Kings are scoring goals like they're on crack now.

2nd in goals per game since trade deadline. This team is a tough matchup at 8

remember when people figured this series would need to be all Quick? :lol He's had to be good but hardly shining beacon of perfect goaltending people figured he'd have to be.

lol

where's Tabris?

"He's hanging by his neck in his fucking closet."

Wouldn't surprise me(starting schnieds) since they're freaking stupid. Lou's the only reason this isn't worse. Don't ask me what worse is, but yeah.

I think if they mix it up and start schneider in net for the rest of the series, Vancouver has a chance to win. Not sure why, but I think they might.

Horrible play by Van. Horrible. Awful, horrible awful.

I wish I had some alcohol to drink right now. The fridge/shelves are empty.

POWERPLAY. you know what that means? Brown has the chance for a SHG-Hattrick. When's the last time THAT has happened?

Loving the fan trying desperately to be noticed by Brown. Just banging on the glass. Brown should turn around and then point skyward to the jumbotron.

.

unless Schneider can run the PP then it's hard to imagine that will somehow transform the canucks.

There is no good reason. Vancouver is done. They would have to pull off a Jekyll and Hyde or something to win this series.

I just think that if they DO win the series, it will be with Schneider, not Lou.

Luongo is not even your problem right now. Fuckin Canucks fans :lol

How often has the President's trophy winner been swept in the first round?
I believe it happened to the Nordiques the last season they were in Quebec. As kids, we had a good laugh about it.
I've been killing some time digging up this stat on hockey-reference.com.

I can say this was not the case. The Nordiques did NOT win the Presidents' Trophy in the strike-shortened 1994-95 season. They did lead their division and they did lose their first round series against the Rangers but they lost it in 6 games (won Games 1 & 5 at home).

Since its introduction in 1986, the Presidents' Trophy winner has NEVER been swept out of the playoffs without winning a single game.

In fact, you have to go all the way back to the 1938 Boston Bruins to find a team with the best record in the regular season that didn't win a single playoff game.

If the Canucks fail to win one of the next two games in Los Angeles, it will truly be the most epic collapse of the season's best regular season franchise in the MODERN HOCKEY ERA.
