The Dark Knight Rises (Batman 3) - No Riddler

I could have dealt with a scene that more or less referenced the comics alittle more and have bane breaking everyone out of arkham and instead of running free joker just sits in his cell sans makeup and reads some book (upside down or some shit) has a quick exchange with bane and is either left there laughing or killed...

But hearing peoples talk about when batman "returns" to fight the mob in the streets with the police and all that jazz... godamn.. gets me pumped. That's going to be one of those scenes in the theater where people holler and clap and you grip your armrest cause what your eyes are sending your brain is just too fucking wicked... like a long lost general swooping in and badasspose.giffing his way into the middle of the throwdown.

So hype.

edit: The final fight happening with batman's cowl down would be doooooooooooooooooooope...

That scene's gonna be awesome... just ask this dude:

Off Topic, but anyone notice the similarities between Batman(1989) and TDK

1.Both have a scene where joker is at a table of mobsters and kills one.
2.Both have a scene of batman heading toward joker in a vehicle and joker saying "come on"
3.Both have a scene of joker hanging of a building while spotlights are being aim at them

Both have a scene where Joker takes out an stupidly long pistol and shoots Batman long range

Both have a scene where Joker ruins fine art with paint while listening to prince

Not exactly sure but I remember hearing that Nolan likes to pay homage to those movies by doing similar scenes.

BTW I havent been to the movies this year as much as I usually go (last two courses for my mba) so I want to ask the regular movie goers has the TDKR trailer been attached to most movies?

I only went to see the hunger games and that had every summer movie trailer except for TDKR.

Well he does have a stupidly sounding gun, and he does have a showdown with the batpod
If he does this with the Batcopter I will shit my pants in the theatre

The trailers haven't been attached to much as far as I have seen. Saw the teaser and trailer one time each. I don't go to a ton of movies, though. Maybe two a month.

Off topic but you should go watch The Raid.

Bane and Batman seem the same height in that still. Isnt Bane supposed to be a huge hulking monster. I understand why he isnt a "monster" monster in this movie, but why is he not Big?

Because they hired a "midget"(in comparison to what he should've been) to play Bane.

Christian Bale is taller than Hardy....

I literally can't imagine this movie ending with bruce dying. There'd be riots in the streets, the lashback could be ferocious. It would be incredibly ballsy, but a serious downer

Agreed - there is no way they will kill Batman. Surprising how that seems to be a thread running here, that some actually think Nolan will kill Batman. That is a definite no-no. It would ruin the overall feeling of the film to all Batman fans. WB and DC would not go for it of course. You can kill off DC villains (but I've always thought it to be a poor idea), but not Batman.

At least for myself, the possbility that he may die is based on an old rumor that WB didn't like the ending because of the finality of it. As a hardcore Batman fan, in no way does the idea of his death ruin the previous movies, and could extremely easily fit into the theme of being a symbol. I don't know how it would fit in or affect this film, 'cause I haven't seen it yet. Nolan is allowed to do whatever the fuck he wants at this point. WB let him make a fucking movie where the climax took place in a dream within a dream within a dream. They obviously trust he's going to bring the money in and leave him to it.

I'm not saying I'm sure it's going to happen or anything, I just don't think it's completely off the table. And if you think his death couldn't be done in a satisfying way, I think you lack fatih.

Batman is a scary fella, dressed in all black with that damn voice. My 3 year old niece says dark knight is a 'scary movie'. I skip over most of the joker parts though :P

Wow just noticed the scar on his arm, it's curved though..wonder where it's from. Cause the BB LoA scar was a straight sword one...

Or have we already talked about this...

e/ oh right the damn dogs
