Just spoiled on the SCG Stream. A Wheel of Fortune Miracle. Meh.
This is rare, but the one-sided Earthquake is mythic?
THE FUCK, WOTC? Here we have a card arguably superior to timetwister (and almost certainly superior to its shitty mythic version), priced reasonably with conditions unfulfilled, and -absurdly- costed otherwise.
This card is incredible.

Force of Will's art is already ripped from a red card. That's enough of an insult to BEST COLOR that we deserve it at this point.

It's an alright price, but that depends how much you want the buy-a-box promo. You can preorder @ $88 + shipping (usually around $5) nearly anywhere, look:

(That said, Timetwister never belonged on the power 9 to begin with. It's arguably worse than Wheel of Fortune.)

They have their ups and downs. Timetwister is arguable better in the late game then the early game, while Wheel of Fortune is arguable better when your opponent has more cards in hand (or else you're giving them a lot of cards as well)
I'm going to have to say it's the exact opposite. Wheel enables graveyard shenanigans, but it also enables your opponent's graveyard shenanigans. Gradual mill isn't playable in any format.

Oh damn. I've got my in town place, and a place in the next town over so I can compare shit. Normally the in town one has cheaper boxes, but the out of town one has more singles. Hooray for competition!
The problem is that both are really, really bad in competitive play nowadays, since giving your opponent up to 7 free cards is such a massive drawback.

There's nowhere really close and even the others are $110 or so for a box so not really saving anything... I want the buy a box but I think I'll wait until they appear online and just buy one since there's a huge gap in price.

Troll and Toad was doing pre-order boxes for $90, but shipping to my area was $15, so that was a no go :/

I'm not familiar with Legacy stuff, but if you name some things, I can see if my friends have them and trade off.

Eh, like I said they're usually $100 on amazon a couple days after release with prime shipping so I'll just wait for that. I'm not getting the box card anyhow and it'll probably come quicker than the slow as shipping they'll use.

I wouldn't open them. Use them to trade with bots for tix and just he the singles you want. The singles online are ridiculously cheap and th packs just aren't worth the cards within.

Yeah, there are bots who buy. But first check with the guys you know online. You'll get a better trade from a human you know than a bot every time

Ah, ok. I have zero intrest in keeping cards, I just want to draft.
You could basically buy packs for a draft, sell everything you get, then recycle that and whatever you win into a new draft.
It's possible to "go infinite" with drafts but it requires something like 66% win percentage and you must play 8-4 (where only the top two decks get anything).

I don't need to go infinite, as long as it makes it cheaper than like the $14 or $15 a pop each time I'll be happy.
My local game shop sells preorder boxes for $86 without the box promo, $90 or so with the promo. They ship all over the US but I dunno if that price is an in store price or what.

Yeah, I never really go for the promo anyway. In this case I bought 3 copies of Silverblade Paladin already from SCG so I passes on the promo again.

There are people who do it as part of a bot/business operation to sell either the sets via ebay or the singles.
