I really want to buy Peacewalker but it's £15.99 and knowing my luck there will be a sale next week once I have bought it, was hoping it would be in this weeks sale but alas it is not. I guess I will have to just dive in at some point and take the risk.

I LOVE DISGAEA!

I have never played any of these games but this game is tons of fun. I think the graphics could be a little sharper for the sprites and the story is kinda weird but the gameplay is amazing! Highly recommended for vita owners who like turn based strategy.

Never played a Disgaea game before. My favorite PSP game is Jeanne D'arc.

Would I like this?

First-time Disgaea impressions:

As stated above, this is my first Disgaea game. I have had passing interest when I saw them pop on on PS2 but I never got around to it.
I was also very wary about buying Disgaea 3 as I've been playing Lunar on my Vita and two RPGs is rarely a good idea, but alas.

I am enjoying the game very much and it looks just fine on Vita. The mechanics are very nicely deep (more so than I realize I'm sure; I'm only on tutorial mission 4 or 5 lol) and I have no idea what the different titles on the randomly generated items mean yet, but that's okay.

The humor is fine, don't expect a story that takes itself seriously by ANY measure =p But that's okay too, and even a nice change of pace from typical rpg tropes.

All in all I have much to learn, but I will definitely be learning as I continue to play this game =)

Paint park is really basic, but I guess it gets the job done. Hope they add online coop sometime in the future :d

Edit: To get rid of the triangle in top right corner tap the lower right corner where you would peel off a page.

They're not alike at all. Disgaea is pretty different from most other SRPGs.

That's not to say you won't like it. It's just hard to say whether you'll like it or not. I like both Jeanne D'arc and Disgaea but they're almost like different genres.
You'll just have to look at videos and reviews for any of the four games and decide for yourself.

MBA, like Journey is relatively short. Even 100% doesn't take terribly long. If you want something with a little length, get CT.

Good point!

Another thing, since I currently have no access to the store, isn't there a bundle in the US store with Patapon in it? How much does it cost?

EDIT: what CT loading problems?

Just had Disgaea 3 freeze on me.

I'm at the last chapter, finished a battle, cutscene came up and minutes later it froze.

Had to restart the system.

Making a backup of my files right now cause I'll be so mad if I somehow lost my Disgaea save lol

Thanks to you and everyone else for the fantastic impressions. I want it but i already have a Vita backlog. I dont know what to do.

Been a fan of Disgaea since the PS2 days. Disgaea 1 was amazing.

The game is just plain fun. The story doesn't take itself seriously. You'll chuckle a few times. The story, though, is just a minor part of the game. Post game is where all of your 47485648: hours will be spent. If you think I'm exaggerating on the hours, I'm not lol.

Grinding is a big part of the game but for me, it's the most fun and it doesn't feel like a chore.

You can level up characters to 9999. You can even perform a reincarnation and start back at level 1 but you would be much stronger.

You can go into items and level them up and make them stronger. This is the item world...and when I say items, I mean all items. Weapons, armor, items.

Deal damage in the billions!

You can create a number of characters/monsters.
You can absorb a character in order to become stronger.
You can attempt to pass certain bills that have different effects: have more high level equipment for sale, stronger enemies, gain more experience etc.

The above cost Mana, which you get from defeating enemies. In regards to defeating enemies, only the character who delivered the final blow will get the experience (unless you performed a team attack..then those members will get experience).

Speaking of team attacks, if one of your characters attacks an enemies while his teammates are directly next to/behind him, there's a chance of a team attack. So you could have 1-4 people attacking the same enemy. Theres a percentage that you can increase.

Many things to learn in this game and if it's your first game you MAY get overwhelmed but it's nothing that would make you annoyed.

Disgaea 3 is the perfect Vita game right now, IMO. One of the reasons why I bought a Vita.

I've never played Disgaea 3 on the ps3 and I'm glad. Playing on the vita is a dream come true. I believe there are cameos from the other Disgaea games but you don't NEED to play them but it's cool to see a character and say, "oh snap! It's you again!"

Disgaea is very much it's own flavor. The game is very, very silly and you either accept that as part of the charm or you don't. I had a hard time with it at first, way back during the first game but once I accepted the wackiness for what it was I've come to be at least a casual fan of the series. When you have a plotline like "my dad stepped on my video game console and now I want revenge!" you know the story is meant to be humorous and silly.

I'm enjoying this Vita iteration the most of all though because it works so well as a pick up and play title on a handheld and because the mechanics are more refined than they used to be in the first game. And there's so much more to do!

Disgaea 1 may have the best story of the bunch but there's no question about which game has the superior gameplay and that's Disgaea 3 by a pretty good amount. Healer's finally getting EXP from healing is enough of a change in and of itself to make me smile.

Yea, not sure why it didn't come out here this week... just tried it and everything looks fine in english.

Yes VERY basic. This is the best I've been able to do so far

But i would be welling to shell out a few bucks for a really fleshed out powerful drawing app.

With Disgaea it's either love or hate ;)
It really is different kind of RPG. I'd suggest getting retail version which you could later trade in if it doesn't suit your tastes.
This is what I'll be doing. Not sure whether I'll pick it up day one though, might wait a while to see how the price holds (I have enough to be getting on with at the moment - trying to keep to one retail game at a time).

Is there any way to play Killzone Liberation on Vita?

I bought it thinking I could play it but I can't transfer it nor download it from the Vita download list.

Maybe you have to download it on the PS3 first and then transfer it to your Vita.

I've had the same problem with Ys: The Oath in Felghana.

I tried this, and as with all these programs, it needs a zoom function - that would make a world of difference.

I tried Autodesk Sketchbook Pro on an iPad 2 from work as well yesterday, which is amazing and just $4! For that money Apple should include it with all iPads by default or something. This is finger painting to the next level. Here's a decent youtube I found quickly:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZ44S17mHO4

And it demonstrates that yes, you need that zoom. I'm inclined to get an iPad 3 just for Sketchbook Pro to be honest. Thank god that PSSuite is now in public beta, who knows someone can make something like this quickly (I may even try, or would love to help, just to learn this stuff)

I want to play Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Can I play it on Vita somehow? I heard that there is a PSP game where SOTN is unlockable. Isn't there a more direct way?

Mhmm.. I would love to play PSOne games on the Vita.. :/

But this could work. Is Dracula X Chronicles good?

My guess is we'll get PSOne compatibility at E3, like Nintendo's "Hey, download the new Zelda Four Swords tomorrow" announcement they did last year.

It's good but a pretty dated in terms of control. I got frustrated many times because of how slow you move and platforming sections where you can fall to your doom (you get knocked backwards if you get hit). It's nothing like SotN-like "metroidvania" games.

I never finished it.

But I certainly got my money's worth playing the unlocked SotN.

Mhm, crap.. what do you have to do to unlock SOTN?
