Yessss, been waiting for the Jetpack update. I've put 18 hours into the game. I've been playing lately and have around 80,000 to spend on gadgets. Whats the lucky last item?

So the lucky last item is an extra token that (appears) to definitely give you at least one prize from the final spin list. Only used it twice.

Coin magnet doesn't have a huge range like vehicles, but works well.

Golden piggy bank is a bank that randomly appears, and when you hit into it, it drops a bunch of coins.

I bought all the gadgets.

99% of what Konami, Capcom etc... put on iOS is half thought out over priced and has had almost no work done on it. Very few developers there seem to respect the iOS market frankly.

Phoenix Wright, Ghost Trick, Street Fighter Volt, King of Fighters I, all of the CAVE games, Chaos Rings + Sequels, Final Fantasy + Sequels, Space Invaders: Infinity Gene, Taito games, Cooking Mama and MANY more...these titles would kindly ask that you reconsider your generalization ;)

Konami has FAILED with MGS no doubt, and I still don't understand why there's no proper Monster Hunter. However, there are fantastic games from Japanese devs out there. To be fair, Capcom and Cave have been leading the charge...
 
Just listened to the Working Design podcast on Retronauts, and Vic Ireland was saying that we'd be shocked by the lack of code versioning controls in place in Japan, even today.

I'm sure that plays a part in these shitty ports.

Ahhh!!! I hate the app store. What happens, I buy Ascension. Two days later, I see AppZapp listing it dropped to $.99. Dammit. This is why I never buy apps not on sale. Lesson learned, again...

actually, Trade Nations is pretty generous with magic beans these days, they made it harder to waste them and you usually get a free one at the beginning of the game from watching those videos.

I'm level 57 in Trade Nations, it started out a bit slow but you really don't need magic beans for anything (I never purchased any, I even wasted a few back before they added confirmation screens) and I got enough free beans to buy a windmill, a few premium items. With the frontier area now you get resources pretty quickly too.

The only time you really need magic beans is to buy the final fort upgrade in the Frontier area, since you really need one of the premium storehouses to hold all the resources required.

It's not the most interesting time management game out there but I guess the fact that I've been playing it since the ipad 2 launch is saying something.

While we're on the subject, WTF is wrong with the scale of the economy in Snoopy's Street Fair? Why the hell are children buying 5 million dollar nacho carts?
 
Whoooaaaa been playing Ballistic for a bit longer here... I have to give it more time for the final verdict but goddamn it this game is good and it gets REALLY crazy. Infinity Field on Insane Mode is one of my absolute favorite things on iOS but I think Ballistic might just beat both the Infinity Field and Beat Hazard Ultra experiences for me. So slick, so well done, so gorgeous and it's really pure and hardcore gameplay-wise, loving the learning curve and the progression. I posted before saying it might not be as over-the-top as Infinity Field, scrap that, game gets really nuts at around wave 24.

Fireball didn't really click with me cause the visuals were more minimalistic and there wasn't any shooting... Maybe I should give it another chance. But I absolutely played Super Crossfire to death and I'm currently enjoying Ballistic even MORE than I did Crossfire.
 
So I bought MvC 2.... Instantly regret it.

No problem with the controls really. They couldn't slap a filter on the graphics? The game is running at like 30 fps? If that? Wtf

You can complete missions in any order, buy whatever stuff you want and so forth. It gets tricky when you have 2 devices that get out of sync and progress in different directions, trying to figure out exactly how to assimilate that data back into a single set without doing the wrong thing, and without confusing the player.

The way we are looking to handle this should not only give you guys the stuff you want out of iCloud, but other cool stuff as well. It's just going to take some time

From my experience, I don't think Telltale take iOS seriously at all. They definitely port their games regularly, but the ports have terrible issues. Like, I tried playing Puzzle Agent 2 recently and they still didn't fix any of the problems.

Damn, that looks good. How's it compare (mode, control and sound-wise) to things like IF and Geometry Wars. As polished as or better? I love a good twin-sticker.

Awesome game. Despite the "simple" graphics, there's a lot of variety and the game is intense. And I love Radiangame's flexibility of the power up system.
