Captain America was hands down my favorite Marvel movie. It seems like the biggest complaint from the people that were underwhelmed by the movie was the lack of action. That didn't bother me at all. Dat origins story, setting and Peggy.

I can't wait to see Rogers in The Avengers.

Just rewatched Cap yesterday. The big problem with the movie is that the action is pretty bad overall. I can see it giving people the impression that Cap really isn't a badass or as fit to lead the Avengers as Iron Man is based on the cinematic representations.

Still better than Thor.

It's 3/4 of a film. Joe Johnston phoned in everything past Bucky's rescue. You don't get any sort of idea of Capt's battle prowess, his tactical abilities or anything about him other than the fact he'd be an awesome football player with those shoulder blocks of his. The origin of Capt was fucking awesome. Everything past that was weak as shit. As someone said, there's nothing in the movie that makes people believe he belongs alongside Thor, Iron Man and the others as a badass superhero.

I agree. I definitely would have wanted them do justice to CA's combat skills, having awesome action set pieces, in addition to the fantastic origins story. The movie would have been so much better. But I just felt like the movie had more heart than the rest of the Avengers gang. I appreciated that.

That's pretty much the impression all my friends had. The way Rogers was portrayed in The First Avenger, he wasn't kickass enough for them like Hulk and the others. And he lacks the charm of Tony Stark and Thor. This Rogers is just a nice guy with some muscle that he never really flexed. That totally appeals to me, but I understand that that's not what other people are looking for in a super hero blockbuster.

His modern suit is so terrible in The Avengers, I hope this is much better. I wished he'd had just worn his WWII suit because it looks infinitely better and like something made and designed by the military.

Looking at the hands in the newly released pic, it actually looks like theyre going with this suit.

I'm also in the camp who would love to see a costume change for Winter Soldier. His look in The First Avenger was great, and then he got a serious downgrade for The Avengers.

I agree that they should go with his modified S.H.I.E.L.D. outfit, it looks like it would translate to the big screen a lot more easily.

I like the lack of helmet, in the MCU it would work well well since they've thrown superhero identities out the window.

Yea the action sucked and the movie just looked cheap, so much of it being CG sets and green screen, outside of indoors small cramped action scenes.
