Dating-Age |OT3| Positivity, Confidence, and Not Being a "Nice" Guy

Alright, I'm ready.

I was at a show a few nights ago and there was a girl that caught my eye. Unfortunately, music was already playing at that point so I just shrugged it off and watched the band play, while also moving around a lot (ADHD). Once we got outside (there was no back light, so it wasn't easy to tell who was who), I saw her talking to a few other people (one of them happens to be a buddy of mine) so I hopped in the conversation, introducing myself, cracking jokes, etc etc. It was all pretty much fine until everybody else left and I was alone with her. Not knowing what to do or say, I just copped out and said "I'm gonna go pee. Later". I would have asked for her number but I didn't want to come off as a creep. I approached her once again a little later, but it was really just a comment on the last band that played. It didn't really go anywhere, so I just left it at that.

I know I probably did a lot of shit wrong here, but go easy on me. Haha.
 
I am pretty sure that if people went for Dating-GAFs advise, no one in the world would ever get together with a girl, unless she basically crawled on her knees for you begging you to be together with her.


For instance:

Adding someone on a social network after meeting them once: Creep.

The girl, did anything that is not 100 % actively trying to get you: Forget about her.



The funny thing is that if i stopped that guy from talking to her. I would hear people telling me "Your a control freak; therefore she does not want you"

"Trying to control a girl a you just met: CREEP"

Now, since i did not do it. I am all of sudden a pussy...okay...

Weekend at my place (including her meeting my parents) was amazing.
She loved my family, they love her back, she played with my dog as if it was her own, we made out like, everywhere, played video games (we went to a shop beforehand and she could decide between me picking up the new SSX or Gears of War 3. She chose Gears!!!) together, watched the "Redline" Blu Ray and had fantastic sex.

It doesnt sound creepy at all to me. Ignore those who say you are. Send her a fun, playful message on FB. If she responds well, great! If not, who cares you'll never see her again. At least give her the opportunity to respond rather than assuming rejection or "creep" status.

If i wanted to troll, i would paint a more spectacular story. I mean, there needs to be some sort of fun in the trolling, and what i am writing is just not funny in any way. Then again, i am not native english and i just think my story-telling skills basically, makes everything seem a bit retarded.

Asking for her number at that show would've been okay.

What would be creepy is if you found her number online somewhere and then called her. That's creepy.
 
you know what else would be creepy? finding out where her mum lives, killing her and then peeling off her skin so you could wear it and pretend to be her mum so you could get her number.

what you should do is take lots of drugs so it'll make you calm. sure when she sees you sweating profusely with your eyes huge with some kind of weird expression on your face, but hey you'll be calm and be able to come up with witty banter.
 
I haven't updated on my situation in a few days. The girl I've been seeing really is busy, in fact she occasionally IM's me first. She did say before she will be more available once finals are over (which is next week). I have a really good feeling about this one. This should definitely hit it's stride once summer rolls around.

I happened to be backstage at an concert and she and her friends stood outside the backstage area for like 1 hour, drinking and dancing to the music. Eventually, i started a conversation with them. Almost instantly, they went around to the backstage entrance, and managed to go in. However, her two fat ugly friends joined her to my annoyance. Shortly after me and her started talking backstage. A guy, who she knew (he was a complete creep actually) basically, asked he what she was doing in there etc. I did not hear him telling her to leave (but apparently he had) and i was surprised to hear her say "well, maybe we meet again"...So anyway.

5 mins later, she shows up on the other side of the fence, were we first met. Now, we flirt a little bit, and i tell her that i want her without those 2 fat friends. Whereby, they intervene telling me, they are just protecting her...Anyhow, i convince her to try to get backstage again...

Once in again, that guy is at her again. The guy was not even a guard, just a douche-bag obviously white-knighting her. Which i by the way pointed out, which made her laugh a lot. Anyway, this time she told me, "Why dont you come out from the backstage and meet me"...This i did...Once, i was outside the backstage area, that guy came out behind me. He literally, stood there, watching me and her talk...Eventually, he asked me "Can i talk with her for a moment"...Now, i was kinda cocky, so i went back backstage because i thought, she would come back or something.

Now, the concert was by this point over,making the whole backstage area messy, and it was truly crowded and bad lighting all over the area (this was outdoors). So, realizing, i should never let her out of my sight I told my friends who i was with, that ill go and pee, actually, instead i walked around the area, looking for her. To my despair, she was impossible to find.

However,after some detective-work today, i found her facebook. Looking at her wall, it is hardly ever updating. Last time, someone wrote there, was in early march.

Now, i added her as a friend there but she has not replied. However, i do not look forward for the moment, when she realizes its me. It will be really hard to not look like a creep or a looser.

Let me just finish by saying that, the guy who was creepy. Truly looked like a creep and actually, his face and stare, haunts me still.

How the hell, do i not make this awkward when i finally get in touch with her, on the chat or something.

I cannot believe, i did not just take her number, i literally had several chances to do it...Instead, i played it cool, but in the end, me and her lost each other in the crowd...

If you see her on the street, tap her on the shoulder then yell at her. Scream the reasons why you are so cool and are a better boyfriend.

I do not understand, how you feel good being douche-bags when i am the reason this thread is entertaining. There is no such thing saying i need to write in this thread. For what its worth, i can just skip telling you guys a single thing and then you would not have anything to laugh at or taunt.

don't worry and don't take yourself seriously. we all make mistakes and look like complete twats but if theres something i've learned, or im learning to learn, is that life is one big learning process in which you make mistakes and learn from them.

so next time, be like, more decisive, get the number quicker and and learn to be happy by yourself.

Get over yourself. You are not really entertaining, nor funny. If you truly want honest advice, you'll get plenty.

If not, seems like you chose the wrong "character" in the wrong thread. Your desperate need for attention from girls is seeping into this thread (except we are guys).

Is it even worth following up and trying to reschedule if a girl tells you she's sick? Or is that known as a universal sign that she's bailing for good?

I don't even bother following up on it anymore. I just tell them to feel better and keep me posted, if they're telling the truth, they'll keep me posted and pick a new date when they're feeling better. If not, well... keep moving on.

I had a gut feeling this was going to happen for both my dates and it's incredible how it completely panned out. I don't even understand why people keep up with these charades if they had no intentions of actually seeing them through. It just seems like a waste of both our time and effort.

I't doesn't hurt to just tell her " Ok, let me now If you wan't to do it someother time" but after that try to forget it.

But honestly, if she says: But i really wanna meet you! etc. then its a good sign. If i were you, i would obviously, investigate the chances of having a reschedule. I personally, would hate to meet someone on a early date if i were sick. Since i am in my worst shape
