Anyone have tips for making my deck more efficient?

I mean, when you double post how could you not be :P

My only concern with using the Skinrender/flicker idea is what happens if you go up against a creatureless blue/black control deck. Those are still popular now, right?

Haha, I didn't realize that until after I posted but I was happy because of it anyhow. :p Well, right now there's no one who plays blue/black control at my shop really. Still worth a shot though. There's no tutoring liliana anymore so it has to have legs if I don't draw him also.

You shut your mouth! Flicker is awesome, especially with skin render. Really want white/black with him.

We're over ten thousand posts!

I'm number 3! Not bad for somebody who fell back in love with the game after a 15 year hiatus thanks to this thread!

And Flicker breaks so many cards. I love/hate it right now. What's going to really suck is that flicker totally destroys straight aggro decks. Destroys them. Dealing a ton of damage quick is like, my MO. And flicker slaps that MO around like it owes them crack money.

Ya, it's only bad when it's game breaking which knowing wizards probably will be...

Guess I need to step up my game then. :P

What's everyone taking to FNM this week? Standard at my store, and I'm itching to try out a Delver Red build.

R/U Delver is actually a lot of fun, we were play testing that a newer frites most of friday as well as a new R/W humans deck with lightning mauler and silver blade paladin. It's hard to decide on miracles though since we had 2 or 3 tremendous wrath (I think that's the name it's the one R for miracle that does 5 damage to creature or player). Frustrating to have to mulligan just because of 2 miracles in opening hand but overall really cool, especially with the amount of spot removal due to snap caster.

Edit: I want to play frites but depending on what I open in the 2 boxes I ordered I'll have to play something else.

Thunderous Wrath ! :)

I'd play my burn deck if I could get a few more copies of Vexing Devil.

Been trying to modify my W/B humans deck. I went 0-4 with it on friday :(

Also been considering creating that Curse deck in RL, since it's so fun on MTGO.

Avacyn has definitely kindled a love of the flickering mechanic with me. Going in I actually thought that there weren't enough ETB effects for the volume of flicker they reprinted to be useful, but I think I was wrong.

Got a list of cards somewhere? I have two foil Vexing Devils I'd be willing to trade.

Ya, vexing devil is like completely useless early game and is so much useful to drop turn 4 or so when they usually can't deal with it. I've seen no benefit by playing him early in the U/R delver deck we made. People just took the 4 and was so much less helpful than later in the game.

I'm not sure if there's enough low cost ETB unless you need it for soul bounding some creatures or that's my initial feeling but I'm going to go over the cards again to see what I can compile.

R/W Humans is also on my list of things to try out as well but I played U/R Delver for awhile when Innistrad first came out and yes, that deck is a lot of fun. I was thinking Thunderous Wrath might not be so bad in a deck with Ponder, Lighthouse, and Tibalt. I mainly want a deck to put the Tamiyo and Tibalt I pulled to use. :)

Ooo ooo... W/R Vexing Devil/Sun Titan later in the game would be something awesome.

Its much better in Limited where a strategy like repeatedly flickering Timberland Guide to pump Champion of Lambholt are actually potent.

I barely made the cut. Not bad for someone who played his first game of Magic ever less than a year ago.

A year ago I was way too deep into Call of Duty. I subbed to every major Call of Duty YouTuber. And then one guy, named "Ons1augh7," started posting these videos. And I got curious. And then got hooked.

Yes, they're terrible. Not that I knew that at the time.

:lol They suck so hard at the game. I feel bad at the guy who wasted two giant growths though.

Missing my Huntmasters already, need to pick up 4 again.
I have strayed from my green roots and I think my record and focus has taken a hit because of it so it is time to go back to my basics.

Aaaaaaaaaah, now I get it. The necrotic ooze was for Griselbrand. It was so you can couple that with zombie infestation that they had in the deck and make a million zombies.

I wasn't there for this, but... My friend's friend opened his box this weekend and got down to about 6 packs left with 0 mythics. He was super upset. He picked his 6th to last pack and opened it, got a Temporal Mastery. He was pumped. Then he realized there was a foil in the pack too. Foil Tamiyo.

He cried.

Each of the other packs all had mythics I guess, including Entreat the Angels. Dumb luck.

But he cried.

Punch him and steal his box... :p

i played the most rageenducing game last night with friends.

damned sword of fire and ice/sword of light and shadow/jitted Ink eyes but my opponents are playing green token and eldrazi so the swords cant get me in for anything. -_- game was me dumping removal on eldrazi who dumped annhilator/creatures to keep token down with both of them freely recycling cards while i'm bleeding my deck out with card draw. -__-

i eventually got my nighteyes flipped thanks to eldrazi shuffling his graveyard back into his library and kept recycling clones for removal. game ended with me decking out and eldrazi going out of control.

sideboarded in my mask of riddles for the next game, those fuckos stopped laughing then. teach them to make my precious swords useless. >_>

later that night, watching a mill deck player rage vs eldrazi was hilarious.

Going to try to make something nasty with my three Sigarda's. Maybe something with knights if the reliquary. Although they might not work all that well with each other. I'm also thinking about going for a hexproof centric white/green/blue with invisible stalkers, geists of saint traft, and swords.

Not a bad idea. I was thinking about building a Geist deck that used Favorable Winds. I think it would be a real bitch if every time I swung a Geist with that out it would hit for 6 in the air.

Debating on getting a playset of gisela now that she's climbing.

She hurt me drafting on Saturday.
I pulled her my first pack, so went against my better judgement and went white/red.
Passed up on so many good cards to stay in color and was starting to change my mind when I opened my second pack and got a Restoration Angel. So I ignored some great green stuff and blue stuff.
Went 0-3 for the first time ever and dropped to save some dignity.
I will avenge myself tomorrow night when League starts.
Why could it not have been Sigurda, I need two of her.

Ya, but she seems like a sweet frites target. Maybe not as good as others but I can see some good things coming from her. My friend preordered a playset for $20 too... I'm jealous.

Yeah dude. When she drops she's a game changer for sure. Swinging for 10? Taking half damage? She's awesome.

That and sigarda seems weak, definitely my least favorite. I don't understand the love. :(

I do. Five mana for a 5/5 flying hexproofer in easily spashable colors is awesome. It shuts down 99% of stuff that could still damage her (Tribute to Hunger, Liliana). She's just super solid.

Bruna is the weak one. So, of course, I pulled one normal and one foil of her :(

I honestly forgot that Bruna even existed. Ya, she's definitely the worst one.

Its the low cost and the hexproof. The sac protection isn't super relevant, but she's got a sweet sweet body.

Ya, I can see that. Not bad per say but since the sac thing is sort of irrelevant it just seems like not much for a mythic.

It is relevant when Liliana is one of the key ways to get rid of Hexproof creatures. Now you are down to DoJ and Phantasmal Image. It's a really stupid mechanic in my opinion, taking away interactions isn't fun.
Also you can Green Sun Zenith for her which is good.

Step 1 has to be to drop it down to 60 cards.

Here's what I'd take out:
Fertile Ground - Generally this is a card for decks overflowing with card advantage, replace it with some other green fetcher. Perhaps my personal favourite, Harrow? Rampant growth is another solid choice.
Favour of the Overbeing - Simply not powerful enough
Bant Sureblade - What if you get two out? I don't think solid standard weenies like this guy belong in an exalted deck. Get rid of this guy but add two more of the Qasali Pridemage, that card is fantastic.
Reborn Hope - Too often a dead card or no better than drawing one of your other cards
Eldrazi Conscription - Too expensive, unless your meta is casual multiplayer
Knight of the New Alara - Nice Card, I think it just doesn't quite fit your deck. With your exalted mechanic it doesn't really matter if its affecting multiple creatures. Most of the time it would be 4 mana for a vulnerable +2/+2 enchant.

An old card you could look for that fits your flavour nicely is 'Dueling Ground'
A mythic rare 'Rafiq of the Many' or the rare 'Stoic Angel' would be great too.
If you want to win just add some of the great old equipment like Umezawa's Jitte, Skull Clamp or Sword of Fire and Ice.
You really need a bit more removal in your deck, how about some Bant Charms?

Actually with hex proof , sac is the only thing to worry about.
Liliana and the sac two creatures reprint and others are all that can kill hex proof.
With Sigurda it makes it require a wipe spell or else you are safe.
