Joker just made a post on SRK saying that these are his conditions for the money match or it's not on:

Character lock: Fanatiq - Magneto/Storm/Sentinel and Joker - Magneto/Iron Man/Sentinel

Only character lock MM I can remember was Justin vs Dark Prince. And the character lock was for Justin (Ruby, Jill, Ken). Even Dark prince switched a billion times, same with every other MM. Duc v Sanford wasn't character lock. Cl0ck vs Dark prince wasn't character lock. None of Desmond's MM were character lock, none of Josh Wiggafall were locked. In the history of Marvel no one does that shit.
 
The whole point of Fanatiq calling people out is because he claims they are clones of him. Why not character lock? They arent clones of his freaking spencer team.

The thing to note there was that Justin character locked himself voluntarily. I don't think he was forced into it or anything.

The most bothersome thing is that there's no reason given for him wanting the character lock.

But Fanatiq is the one who got called out. I never heard him mention they're clones of him once.

- Yipes started it when he said Ray Ray > Joker > Fanatiq > Marlin for best Magneto.
- Fanatiq responded with "wtf? I'm the best Magneto"
- Joker makes a video calling Fanatiq's Magneto out (remember him talking about blast loops?)
- Fanatiq accepted the 5k MM.
- Joker tells Fanatiq that he can't come to the USA so Fanatiq must come to him.
- Fanatiq accepts
- Fanatiq ask Joker to help him pay for the trip
- Joker says no you pay for your own way
- Joker adds a stipulation that Fanatiq must play Magneto on his team since it's a Magneto challenge.
- Fanatiq accepts.
- Joker adds a stipulation that Fanatiq must use Magneto and Sentinel.
- Fanatiq accepts.
- Joker adds a stipulation that Fanatiq must use Magneto, Storm , and Sentinel.
- Fanatiq declines.

Justin was on Alphaism radio (now Bunkei's corner) and said he would body Dark Prince with Ruby Heat, Jill and Ken kind of as a joke. But Dark Prince took that shit to heart and called out Justin for it. Justin being Justin doesn't turn down shit so he took the MM even with that shitty ass team and ALMOST WON.

Kinda sensationalist of you to start by saying he's off the Street Fighter team. How do you know this isn't just part of some collaborative project between Vancouver and Japan and he's there as a producer role to oversee the project like how Kojima did for Castlevania?

I highly doubt he's moving to Vancouver barely knowing English and leaving behind everything in Japan.

Did Fanatiq really decline? I also agree that character lock is stupid. If Joker thinks he's really good then he wouldn't care which characters Fanatiq uses.

because I asked him on Twitter if he was still working with the Street Fighter team and he said he is not directly working with them and doesn't plan to for a while.

He is most likely overseeing Capcom Vancouver's next game. Ono said he will be in Vancouver for close to a month.

An additional stipulation was that Fanatiq must always play Magneto on point, and Fanatiq agreed to that too.
