Looks like the LotR sets are available now at Toys R Us, both in store and online.

FliXFantatier inspired me. I just found this for $3 at a thrift shop(and found $0.50 in change in the bag!)
Any idea what set I picked up?

Hmm, I'm stumped. I know that greenish torso is from a World Racers set, but I can't place any of the other parts.
What are the "world racers"? I don't think I've heard of that.
I've been able to figure out which set the bulk of the pieces came from (the stickered brick pointed me in the right direction). There's definitely some other pieces in there though. I'll post a better picture tonight.
Lego 3221: Big City Truck is only £14 at amazon.co.uk at the moment. I ordered it with some books and free shipping to the Netherlands.

Those look great! Way better than this old Technic set. It's to teach kids some advance Lego building techniques. Each kit has a theme that has lessons on a couple building methods.
This CUUSOO project looks nice but probably won't get made due to Hasbro's action figure license:

It's nice, but it reminds me that even Creator vehicles are inferior to Model Team stuff. There's just something a bit more childish, less professional looking about all the creator vehicles released so far, when compared to Model Team.

LEGO Cuusoo said:The primary reason we have decided not to consider the Firefly IP for a LEGO product is the Inara Serra character, who is a "companion," or prostitute. This character and her profession are central to the story in the Firefly TV series. The character is inextricably linked to the story, and it isnt possible to produce the model and license the IP without creating a link between the LEGO brand and this character. In this process, we have made our decision for brand fit up front as it is the first logical step in the process; it is upon this basis alone that we have made our decision.
The LEGO Company produces many products that appeal to older builders and adults, and we will continue to expand what we offer for adult fans. At the same time, our products and the IPs they represent must be content-appropriate for a younger audience.
LEGO CUUSOO is a new initiative for us. Opening ourselves up for product suggestions means we must naturally articulate more clearly how we make decisions related to our brand. This is something we havent had to do before. Not everyone will be happy with the decisions we make, and people may question our actions and motives. That is one of the costs of being more open, however the benefits and possibilities are far greater. While there will be some disappointments along the way, we will stay focused on the many possible product ideas that are both appropriate for all ages and appeal to adults.

Lego clarified why they reject the Serenity ship. It was because of Inara.

Wonder when LEGO Marvel game is coming...
I've got a bunch of old Lego sets sitting around in my parents house from when I was a kid. They're moving to a new place now so they want me to drop by and try to sell all of it. Probably 90% of all the sets have all their pieces, boxes, and manuals. What would be the best way to go about pricing and selling all the sets? I don't know if Amazon is a good place to judge prices by, but it seems like some of these are worth a fortune.
These are a few sets I've got just to give a reference if any of you guys know if these are actually worth anything, or if Amazon is lying to me.
