Did he ever say who his "fuck yous" were for?

he avoided it and said he's not at liberty to say. ALTHOUGH i have been hearing through the grapevine that Machinima (who came to gootecks+mike to promote CrossCounter) made them sign a contract that gootecks found out when he got in trouble would make his life a living hell.

I have heard of other people/shows having issues with Machinima due to contract issues that are now just popping up.

dammit, gootecks putting out his future ideas, yet being vague about the reason he left!
Sp00ky and Gootecks being continually ambiguous and nondescriptive of their situations make me uneasy and a sad panda. Not that I feel like we're entitled to know. But still, both helped me get into all this FGC shizz and it's pretty sad to see stuff like this happen.

Spooky's is pretty obvious, dude is simply getting tired, physically and mentally, that coupled with TOs only paying for his trip/stay and sometimes actually losing money on events since ads/youtube clicks don't generate enough money to break even and losing money is even worse and not worth it no matter how much you are "doing it for the community" unless you were made of money and can take it.

Paying for the FGC....hmmm i dont know.

i mean i love FGC but i dont pay for basketball (which i love). I dont pay for PPV (o wait next day to find out result on the internet).

I might pay if they make it easy and affordable since i know streamers are not multimillion dollar companies like the nba/nfl and they have bills to pay.

so bring on paypal/low fares and i might chip in for premium content to promote the FGC!

I think Spooky will still do the big majors like NEC, Final Round and Season Beatings but I don't see him doing things like Power Up and Civil War anymore. I think he wants to do more streams from Next Level and more house stuff. It was interesting to say that he and Twitch came up with a new payment method for him. My guess it could be a subscription model.

That definitely is demoralizing. I know I couldn't do it unless I was making comfortable money or my joy GREATLY outweighed the money I was losing. The man is a soldier.

damn! gootecks finally slowly opening up and dropping some bombs, but i gotta go to class! someone please post a recap of the main points when i come back, cause i dont think this stream gonna be recorded.

Cause that seems a bit extreme...
How would Machinima have control over his bank or whatnot?

It seems like trolling to me.

Not sure how I feel about this, to be honest. I hope it's not a massive price slash. It would really suck if potentially dozens or even hundreds of players who paid full price for registration plus tournament entry fees were barred from watching the finals in the ballroom because of a shit-ton of spectators who only paid, say, half price. At the same time, $50 is pretty steep for essentially one day of attendance, but that at least seems more fair than the alternatives.

Kind of a shitty situation all-around, but as far as problems go, too many people in attendance seems like a good one to have.
