Fighting Games Weekly | May 7-13

Mai is hard to use effectively in KOF. KOF13 is the first KOF game that has Mai where I'm not maining her. (I still use her some, used her as a counterpick attempt at FR)

The meter system change hurts Mai since a big part of her game is long-range spacing/runaway, and blocking projectiles isn't a bad thing at all in KOF, and her HD is substandard, she doesn't play KOFXIII as well as most of the rest of the cast.

This version of Mai would be awesome in most other KOFs though.

Ok this makes much more sense. Max moving out from his condo to a more spacious, private housing is more to do with convenience, complaints from neighbors and landlords having issue with the disturbances created by Assist Me than actual money or copyright problems.

Mike Young (guy who plays Wesker) and his wife losing their main jobs also is not related to Assist Me but that ends up actually hurting Assist Me because he was a key member of the show in production and acting. With his new son and job issues he is obviously not going to be as big part of the show as before.

This just happened to be a string of real life situations compounding at once. I think we can put to rest the whole Assist Me cost Max/Mike their house, jobs and put them on the streets or some crap like that.

I wish Max and Mike best of luck on their future endeavors and will continue to support the Assist Me and other Online Warriors series.

I think that he's going to have to choose between She Hulk or Task because I can't see him dropping Spencer and I can't see She Hulk doing much in this game with just Task arrows.

his she-hulk was completely useless with missiles, i didn't see combo doing anything at all with her. show me video evidence of that combo actually working
 
All Hidden Missiles was doing for Combofiend was screwing his combos and taking up a useless character slot. He doesn't have that much time until EVO and it looks like he is most comfortable with his Vanilla team which in all honestly is still a more than competent team as it has certified team synergy. He got top 4 EVO against invincible assists, Derperine, SSS Dante and the Dark one... the only match up that he should really fear (and develop tech against) is MorriDoom and the new Dark one.

GODSGARDEN only runs console tournaments, and Under Night in-Birth isn't even out yet. Of course, MBAACC is only available for PC...

Anyway, it will be on September 1, in Osaka at the Shinsaibashi club JAWS. All the tourneys thus far have been at the Asagaya Loft in Tokyo.

He's not but it's a gamble either way. He wants LVL2XF Spencer + Task arrows which is good enough to run through an entire team. It's like how some people like to use Vergil 2nd and Hawkeye last. Hawkeye isn't a better anchor than Vergil but Vergil at 2nd means you have a better chance of closing the match earlier because he has an actual assist to work with.

Also Combofiend should try She Hulk anchor just for the hell of it. He can take a lot of people by surprise with it.

To be fair, not screwing up combos with hidden missiles comes with experience. At first it keeps blowing your combos, but once you get used to its timing you know how to alter your combos to keep everything going it gets better.

Also, throwing just before missiles coming down is really powerful, though certain characters can't combo off of it because the missiles get in the way. With Nemesis command throw, the animation is exactly long enough for every missile to whiff. But with She-Hulk I think it will ruin the stun condition.
 
Back in my casual mashing days with #Reload, Venom was one of my favorite characters. I wish I could do just a fragment of the stuff N-O pulls off...
 
When I played GG for the first time in an arcade, I couldn't even figure out what buttons did what. Heh.

Maybe since I have the power of the internet I can finally figure out how the game actually works.

Thank you so much for this tip. Ah so this where the GG#6 leak came from, I saw a lot of people talking about it on Twitter, but no one would mention a source, haha. Anyway, I guess the Melty Blood scene most really have a lot of younger players since they're running it at midday instead of at night.
