Thanks for posting that. Capcom should do stuff like this more often, with these kinds of answers. I wish they would just abandon the SFxT ship, though.

They really don't like that game. I hope Capcom uses a completely different producer and team if they plan on making a new Darkstalkers. It should be someone completely fresh if it's not going to be Niitsuma and the rest of Eighting.

I kinda wish that the Japanese would specifically mention Vampire Savior though. I can see Capcom trying to use mechanics from the other Darkstalkers which were not the most popular or good ones.

Biggest bullshit excuse ever. BlazBlue allows people to make their own lobby names and I can't recall ever seeing anything vulgar throughout all the games. The Japanese name their lobbies "JP only" and leave it at that.

I wonder how hard it will be to patch the Ultimate Defense gem considering that it's a paid item. It's like paying for a DLC weapon in a RPG and then nerfing it. It would be a ripoff for those who buy it considering they bought it specifically for the stats.

Capcpom can nerf a DLC gem, or entirely remove it, for any reason or lack thereof they like. No legal recompense.

Using the Xbox Live terms of service as an example:

We may change the Service or delete or discontinue features, games, or other content at any time and for any reason (or no reason).

I would imagine it's the same for DLC content.

And is just waiting for a commercial bomb. Capcom doesn't need to lose more money porting a game in what is a niche genre in the portable market, that everyone already has to a dying portable system. Would be ill advised.

Toryuken is being streamed by Toronto Top Tiers, the people running the event. They already have a stream schedule up on their website.

It's still a major regardless and have top player going. Justin and Wolfkrone are gonna be at Toryuken and some top level talent will be at MWC. So like I said 6 weeks of majors.

I think it's good. Viper with Vajira assist works, and Viper can DHC into Vergil's Spiral Swords properly.

Pretty much. I'm a fan of serious players doing whatever it takes to win. I do like seeing low tier characters placing high but if they're doing it just to get respect from fans then fuck that.

Yeah. Viper's EX's was the main offender in my mind, though. Ouroboros I thought was a given. And swords on Virgil seems to be a necessity.

Also, I think other characters fit with Vajra assist more.

D3 looks to be a huge letdown after D2. Sure, I'll play it a lot when it first drops but that feeling will wear off quick. 4 player lobbies, no pvp yet, pvp arenas, less exciting classes, auctions for rl dollars, no reason to make more than 5 characters due to stat reassignment, etc.

Justin wants that elusive marvel evo title and he knows what has to be done. My guess is his new team is wolverine, Vergil and akuma.

Vergil truly controls the meta game if so many top players are using him now. And my prophecy has come full circle. Now I am waiting for Justin to declare him best character like a few players have implied. Its not official until Justin calls it.

I made the decision many months ago to focus on only one fighting game, and that's UMvC3.

Hardly "focus" either. Been attacking my backlog instead, with decent progress. Next time I dip away from fighting games will be when Arkham City GOTY comes out. And I still got AC:R to finish too, fuck.

Vergil is better than Wesker but I see the point in the statement.

Everyone knew he was good (like hovering around A+ tier) but everyone was shy to declare him S tier good because he has legit weaknesses. No air mobility, meter dependency, unsafe normals and can't whiff cancel normals. The last 2 after playing for months ended up not being a major factor because with good fundamentals and hit confirms you can easily negate it and considering that he can still whiff cancel Helm Breakers into teleports it's not a big deal. The air mobility weakness matters if he isn't the point character because then he is a sitting duck for incoming mix ups. Meter dependency also became a non issue when people learned optimized combos with him and better mix ups. Other than that... this character is slowly starting to control the meta game although in Japan he was like #1 most used, abused character day 1 and it's only now that US is catching up on it. Basically any character or strat that used to be or is top (Zero, Viper, Wesker, Phoenix, Wolverine, Morrigan + DOom) Vergil has an answer to it.

All the Phoenix players shit their pants at Vergil and they kill him any chance they get... as in they will spend precious meter to negate his threat.

One thing I did notice about Wesker in Ultimate is that some tourney players have actually used his counters. Not alot but way more then in Vanilla.
