WonderBoy Collection, Alex Kidd, R. Of Shinobi. Super Hang-on coming to PSN next week

I'm STILL kicking my younger self for selling my Revenge of Shinobi cart. I had the version with Spidey, Godzilla, Rambo, etc. *cries*

That said, I'm buying all of these bastards up!

Buy all of these or you'll never see Shenmue HD or Yakuza 5 localized or to save a little puppy

Is Revenge of Shinobi good?

Ok I want to get Wonderboy

..also 'Alex Kidd in Miracle World' is that the one that came preloaded on the master system? If so hnnnng. I'll need that.

I forget what Alex Kidd game it was, but I played it a few years ago on one of the Sega collection games, and it did not hold up very well.

gotta resist and wait for the 360 releases

or maybe i'll double dip

Fuck, I want all of these. I've been holding off on playing some of those Wonder Boy games specifically due to this collection.

The amount of games I'm buying this month, man.

Well I was gonna get Super Hang-On and MWIV on wii, but maybe I'll just wait till next week to get them on PSN. Or should I double dip?

The PSN versions have trophies for one. :P

Are these games Vita compatible? i'd love to replay Shinobi (plus if it sells, maybe sega would care about a full 2d sequel )

From the XBLA thread:
http://andriasang.com/con12i/sega_ages/

Sega has set final release date of May 23 for the first round of Sega Ages Online releases, and also announced the next round of titles.

As previously reported, Sega will launch the downloadable retro collection on PS3 and Xbox 360 through six games: Alex Kidd Miracle World, The Super Shinobi, Super Hang-On, Wonder Boy Monster Land, Wonder Boy V Monster World III and Monster World IV. These will be individual releases on PS3, priced ÂĄ600 each. On Xbox 360, they will be split into two 800 Microsoft Point consisting of Alex Kidd, Shinobi and Hang-On in one set and the Wonder Boy games in the other set.

The second round of titles will hit on May 30. Golden Axe Collection and Streets of Rage Collection will be released exclusively for Xbox 360, priced 800 MSP each set. Golden Axe Collection includes the 1989 arcade Golden Axe game and the Genesis/Mega Drive Golden Axe II and Golden Axe III. Streets of Rage Collection includes Streets of Rage I, II and III.

May 16th - Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode II
May 23rd - Wonder Boy COllection, Alex Kidd & Co Collection
May 30th - Golden Axe Collection, Streets of Rage Collection
June 6th - Virtua Fighter 5

SEGA MONTH!!

Revenge of Shinobi is amazing, one of my favourite Megadrive games. I remember Spider-man in it, did they take him out in later ports?

I never finished it, I could never beat the final boss. Ha! Will eat this fucker up, and Super Hang-On too, aces.

I have Alex Kidd, and it is an odd game, very odd, tediously odd.

That'll learn me for being impatient. I bought Monster World IV, Wonder Boy in Monster Land and Super Hang On on Wii last week.

No trophies for me.

It sucks the Golden Axe and SoR Collection are XBLA exclusive. :<

I'm looking forward to Jet Grind Radio HD's release.

yeah, spiderman was awesome too.

Yay for e-penis! LOL but it would probably look better on the PS3, higher res and all.

Err, you can't magically increase the resolution of a 2D game without going back and changing the actual assets used by the game. It's not going to look any different on the PS3.

Really looking forward to check out the quality of these collections: if they'll turn out to be on par with NeoGeo Station's goodness, I'll get Wonder Boy and Streets of Rage for sure (Golden Axe too, probably).

They're M2 jobs, and we've seen pics of the UI and extra features and whatnot, so I daresay they won't disappoint in that regard.

That's true: I really just need a region switch (as you can find in NeoGeo Station games) for Streets of Rage and - in general - a nice set of screen options (again, as seen in NGS)... Dot by dot screen ratio, scanlines, sharp pixels... If so, I'll buy dem all. :Q___ _

Is Hang-On the arcade or the MD/Genesis version?

There's a strange article on Andriasang

Here they say that the games will be sold on JPSN individually and on XBLA bundled (for a reasonable price too...)

I Hope that the same thing won't happen on US/EU (and I feel sorry for japanese ps3 owners)

It's separate for PSN people.

The benefit is that each game has a set of its own trophies (10-12 for each) whereas the XBL bundles have 10-12 achievements for the entire bundle (thus 3-5 achievements per game).

I can't see the advantage... it seems more a way to make us pay more...

I'll anyway buy Super Hang On, i need it directly in my veins
