It's because the people playing don't grasp the concept of an economy and think something can sell for 1 million gold day 3 of a game.

I assume most of them are coming from wow and just automatically assume everyone has millions of gold just sitting on them or people are just oblivious to the fact that there is no real economy in place, no one is rich and they are just stupid.

That being said i love the stupid people because i have sold items for 20-50k that shouldn't sell for more than 5k but that's the beauty of noobs and a fresh game, give it a year and everything will be different.

I for one can't wait to see the kids try to hawk shitty legendary items for $200 on the real money auction house.
 
Just beat the game on Normal. I am a Diablo noob, so I probably have lame stats. But boy this game is a blast. Now it gets even better with a higher difficulty :)

So last night I played up to the last part of Act III...Today I boot up the game and my character is stripped and it has me on the very beginning of Act I. I dont want to play anymore -_____-
 
So, has anyone else seen performance drops related to dark d3? I'm not sure where those drops to 30 somtimes come from...sure, becuase of vsync, but what makes it fall nder 60 when I normally have a headroom about 20 frames per second. Is it just that laggy connection all the time?

Why the HELL Blizz after all the time you took to make this game, after all your experience with WOW and MMOs, after you chose the low end route in the graphics departement to make sure the game is running fine on older machines...WHY is it STILL a) laggy all time time at a min. 100ms and b) plagued by microstuttering? Why?? Imo it's one epic fail by Blizz.
 
Quick loot question.

Do bosses have specific loot tables of blues, rares and legendaries that they have a chance to drop? Or do all bosses have the same chance to drop the same items as any others?

my wiz.. at a2 nightmare. Somehow i feel that she is lacking the dps. Any thoughts?

I don't play Wizard, but 384 dps at level 39 definitely seems low.

My DH is just under 1k at 36.

Topaz gems in socketed gear, ruby gem in a socketed weapon, +dmg/+int gear, Familiar with the first rune that boosts your DPS by 12%, Glass Cannon if you feel like you can take the Defense hit...

I'm ~600DPS at lvl 34 with no AH gear.
 
Good god Gruesome Feast WD passive just gets better and better as the difficulty ramps up and I get more INT

I have 1.6k default dps at lvl 37 and with 5 stack SH and full Gruesome Feast it goes over 4k, lol.

I do love that passive. Makes the health globe mechanic so much more fun. I find myself chasing them into danger to get the buff.

And holy fuck at that dps.
 
For all the Monk users, which skill do you prefer? Exploding Palm or Sweeping Wind? I was thinking Sweeping Wind because it is more of an AOE. But then I was thinking that with Exploding Palm you can inflict more damage on a single enemy and when they explode it causes an AOE.

What do you guys think? Also Im lvl 22 right now.

I'm new to playing Monks but I prefer AoE for so Sweeping Wind it is for me.

Well, the limitations are there in concept precisely to dissuade people from putting up things at the ridiculous sorts of prices you brought up in your first point, along with filling up the auction with junk that people don't care for. As people continue to have failed auctions taking up space in their limit of 10, ideally the auction will eventually just store items that are actually useful to people and cost-effective.

Blizzard may tweak it a bit but I guess it would have to be before the RMAH opens, which would have to be fairly soon. I imagine they'd be pretty shackled in what they can do once the RMAH opens up and you're messing with real monetary values. Another reason its existence is dumb.
 
Man I got through nm pretty easy solo with my WD but Hell is a massive step up in every way. I've had to drop about 500dps for some vit and a shield otherwise any yellow/blue mob was nearly 1hk me. I've just cleaed the SK and although it took me a good4 minutes or so to kill him I was never in any danger with my new build. Its pretty clear I'm lacking some armor and dps still but I'm going to slog it out and see if I can get to the end of act 1, then might go auction house shopping if I don't get any decent drops.

Love the WD thought; normal and nightmare consisted of me raping everything on the screen in a bunch of different ways.

Other than the shocking story, the game is great :)
 
53 WD here. Midway through Act 2 of Hell. In regards to the guy talking at the WD in inferno, I can certainly see how it would be a problem. My build is basically... gargantuan + fetishes up, spirit walk into a crowd, soul harvest as many as possible and throw exploding zombie dogs at them (this will switch to bears soon). Using soul harvest seems to be the only way to deal significant damage to champions/elites/bosses at this point. Spirit walk is required just to survive. But due to needing it to always be on cooldown in order to deal any significant damage you lose the defense abilities of it. I'll keep with this build, but I imagine for many combinations of champions/elites I should just not bother as I will never be able to safely deal damage.

I greatly enjoyed normal and nightmare. There was a barbarian in my party so being able to not worry about defense and just go full help mode was a lot of fun. Grasp, acid cloud and darts every where. I didn't need spirit walk until I needed to start running from all champions.

I hope that the RMAH doesn't cause the regular AH to be plagued with the mediocre items because everyone wants cash for their good items.
 
Some of the loot does indeed have some fucked up problems. Well-rolled rares being better than legendaries is perfectly fine - but that probably needs to occur less often.

Blues at max level should never be better than max level legendaries (though it's fine if good blues are better than crap rares). It just feels shitty for players.

The thing is, I'm not sure how they can fix this now with the game being out and items already rolled.

Hopefully but I highly doubt that because there was a friend added to my account (drakefloyd) and I looked at his DH and it has all my gear on LOL

I hear that Bliz can rollback your account though. So ill cross my fingers

The account robbing is apparently rampant right now in the US servers and creeping into the EU servers. There is even a few instances of account robbing of people that supposedly had the authenticator on their account.

I think this is the world telling me that I need to take a break haha :P

the thing is i'm using a sword that gives +108 int and 94vit and good drops are really hard to find

Little bit low on Vit, but I hope I can get a better helm tomorrow. Should add atleast another thousand.

Those are insane stats but the weapon DPS must be really low, I guess? It actually doesn't make much sense because you have like 300 more int than I do while your DPS is nearly half. I'd definitely look for +dmg gear and/or a socketed weapon for a ruby--I think you need to mix up +dmg and +int because they both have diminishing returns after a while.

yeah, wep dmg is about 30
 
So this morning at 4am Japan time, 3pm Sunday Eastern, I woke up and logged into my WD on the Americas server with no problem.

While on the Asia server all day on Sunday, I was queued. It said 20 minutes, then after the 20 minutes were up, it added another 25 minutes. After the 25 minutes were up, it told me I now had 57 minutes to wait so I quit and played On America.

So I will never again create a character on the Asia server. I've almost gotten my WD on America to the same level as my Asia character.

So what is the deal with the Asia servers and lack of space?

I worked at comcast for years when comcast/WOW were having problems with each other and the latency was so big it was unplayable, i don't know if it's comcast just fucking over the consumers like they did during the WOW fiasco but yeah, it's bullshit and comcast is the devil.

I would rather use ATT u-verse but i get comcast for free since my roomate works there but i have a sneaky suspicion this is on comcast's side because it's happened before and will happen again because comcast has turned into a piece of shit evil company that doesn't care about it's users.

Awesome, I'm in Nashville and just switched from Att Uverse to Comcast and Ive had consistent ping problems. :(

Train on the fight either on easy or softcore imo. Once you can get past the last phase without getting hit the fight's ridiculously easy. I oneshotted it in Hell after getting frustrated over the fight in NM.
