EviLore: Those speakers need to go, man.
You really deserve a nicer stereo than that.

For what reason exactly would you be talking shit about my home theater setup ;b

I have three Ascend Acoustics Sierra-1 reference monitors in front and two CBM-170 SEs for surround, denon receiver, full array local dimming LCD. For what reason exactly would you be talking shit about my home theater setup ;b

Your eyes are too white to be blitzed! Sounds like you enjoyed bourbon![]()
Was blitzed well beyond what was probably safe and I have no recollection of this picture. Big ups to New Orleans.

Not bad, not bad but for music you could do a lot better. Firstly, a dedicated stereo set-up is a must. I'm talking brands such as Naim, Manley Audio Labs, Audio Research, Focal, Spendor, Rega, etc. Music through a proper stereo (especially with a good turntable for vinyl) is a transformative experience.
Audiophilia is a disease, and the most common symptoms are delusion and bankruptcy. I'll stick with my current setup for the time being ;b

Fair enough (and this will be my last post on the subject as I don't want to take this thread off topic) but before you write-off the idea completely visit a reputable hi-fi shop and take a couple of your favorite albums with you for a listen. There's a good chance you'll rediscover your music and will want the chance to relive that feeling at home every time you play a track. I've worked in the hi-fi industry for years and many people have walked in skeptical but have left grinning ear-to-ear.
Music is a beautiful thing and a good hi-fi gets you closer to the music.
EL, your fridgemagnets are really getting to me. I dislike Fridgemagnets as a concept, but so neatly organized like that is really driving me insane. Thats so weird! What are they of anyway, they look like trinkets/memorabilia from travels or something.
Yea, I went to college about 2 hours away. Luckily it was too far to make a weekday trip therelol, yeah drunk blitzed. And yes, Bourbon St. is the ish man. I have no idea how people go to college in that town. I would be there partying nightly.
OMG so damned cute.
I bet you get that a lot...

Just ordered a pair of 25lb dumbbells finally. Pretty happy with my progress from just doing pushups for about 3 months now. Not the most flattering picture of me but hey my arm looks awesome, haha.

Very stylish, Hardin.
Melchiah, what's the name of your band? Thrash / death metal drummer here and I'd love to check it out!
Well on the flip side we now all know that it's almost Sentry's birthday so we can organise a surprise party.

Featuring also the vocalists of Baptism & Sacrilegious Impalement.
How many do you do per day? Did you measure your arms?
Wait, you can get that much progress in only 3 months of pushups? From what I've read you barely see any changes in the first 6 months of work-out.
Mahonay: same question as Izick + what was your diet in the past 3 months?

I saw progress after one month.Errr... you should really be seeing progress within a month or two of working out.
I saw progress after one month.
Nope. It was more of a "I want to have muscles again" agenda, haha. No specific goals. Maybe I'll measure in the coming week just to see. I've made some progress even from that picture with weights introduced.Did you measure your arms?
Bane-Girl must've been jealous.
Goddamn Quesada. Headbutt him next time.
I will say when I measure you'll realize how small of a dude I am, hahah. Only 5'6". I'm 150 right and this is the heaviest I've ever been in my life.
Alright, so some people want to know what my regiment is.
Here's the picture I posted originally a couple weeks ago.
For about 4 months straight the only thing I did were pushups. I'd pump out about 20 at a time. Through out the day I'd keep doing them, basically when ever I had the chance to. Sometimes it would just be 10 at a time but just as long as I did them. My arms and shoulders were in some pain for the first week but my body acclimated quickly. I kept doing that every single day. That eventually paid off and I got my arms to what you see in that picture.
TLDR; I did pushups like a crazy man.
Since then I've gotten a pair of 15lb dumbbells, and a pair of 25lb dumbbells when I'm feeling ridiculous. Nothing too elaborate, some basic exercises. Same deal, when ever I'm home and I see the weights, I just pump out some reps quickly. The key is to stay on top of it and just get used to making it part of your routine.
Keep in mind some may to do more than that to see results, using gym equipment and such, I just have a compact slender body that builds muscle very quickly. The only dietary changed I've made is a daily multivitamin pill, eating more fruits and veggies, and cutting out soda almost entirely from my diet.
Hahah, this certainly wasn't for the the purpose of extra female attention but it has done that certainly.I'm pretty sure that chicks love little guys with big arms though, so you'll be alright.![]()
Maybe try spreading them out through out the day. Doing 50 at a time certainly wouldn't work out for me very well I don't think. Try doing 20 or 30 at two different times of the day spread out from each other. See what that does.20 at a time? I used to do 50 pushups every night and I'm pretty sure I never got there... my body didn't acclimate to the pain either.
Errr... you should really be seeing progress within a month or two of working out.
Depends what your body build is like and how much working out changes that.I read that any progress you see after two months is imaginary. I guess that wasn't true. Well, at least that should get me to start working out
How long does it usually take for other people to see that you've been working out?
Absolutely, form is everything. Don't bother doing the pushup if you're not going to do it right. Also, make sure that you have good form when doing pushups, that is always key.
